Chapter 14: The Elf Race (Part 1)

"Uh, sir! These are hero myths! The one the council were speaking about!" said Ugar.

"Oh- Oh my, let them in!" he said.

"Hah, follow me." said Ugar.

They entered through the giant gates, and there was a long strip of rectangular holes inside.

"This is how we operate here. Within each of these holes is a district. The district we need to go to is number 111. They're all numbered up on the top." Ugar said as he pointed at the numbers that were painted on top of the holes.

"Wow, number 111? This is gonna take forever." said Lazarus.

"Nope! Look, step onto here." said Ugar.

They all stepped onto a conveyer belt in the middle of the giant strip. Ugar pressed a green flashing button on the side of the conveyer, and it started to move at a quick pace. They all held on to the railing.

"Woaaah that's awesome!" said Luna.

"It can't be too quick, but it's better than walking." said Ugar.

"This is great!" said Lazarus.

"Anything else you can tell us about this place?" said Lazarus.

"Here in Frojert we have an anti-pollution policy, there are no plastics, or fossil fuels being burned, we care a lot about the land around us, as it has given us this great place." said Ugar.

"Hahaha! That's a great way to think!" said Leon.

"Also, people here, unfortunately, think poorly about your race." said Ugar.

"Awwww, why is that!?" said Luna.

"Well, to cut a long story short, humans many, many years ago attacked our civilization and enslaved the elves. And still to this day many humans think that elves are below them. So if they give you an attitude just brush it off!" said Ugar.

"That's horrible. I'm sorry." said Lazarus.

"Don't apologize, there's some of us who don't think bad about all of your race, I mean, look at you guys, you guys are incredible." said Ugar.

"It's unfortunate that people still think that way about elves." said Leon.

Ugar sighed.

"Yeah... it is. Oh look, we are here! Number 111." said Ugar.

They stepped off the conveyer belt and ducked into the rectangular hole in the wall marked number 111th.

"I've never seen something like this!" said Luna.

When they entered it was as if they entered a city built a thousand years into the future. There were flying vehicles and tall skyscrapers that were floating above the ground. On the ground were many parks, animal conservation sights, houses, and shops.

"Welcome to District Number 111, my hometown!" said Ugar.

"Woah, haha, this is so cool!" said Lazarus.

"We need to go to the district building, it's just up ahead." said Ugar.

They walked to the district building, it was one of the tall skyscrapers that were made out of special anti-attack material. The skyscraper was all black, with no windows. It was very menacing.

"That's the building?" Lazarus said as he looked up.

"Yep! Don't worry you'll be fine." said Ugar.

"How do we get in?" said Lazarus.

"I'll do it. Stand underneath the skyscraper over here!" said Ugar.

They all stood under the floating skyscraper, and Ugar muttered something under his breath and faced both his palms out toward the bottom of the skyscraper. The four of them within a blink of an eye teleported into the district building.

"Is this how people normally get into buildings?" said Lazarus.

"Yep! Only elves are able to get into these types of buildings, it's an anti-attack mechanism." said Ugar.

Luna looked around the room, within the district building there were many office cubicles and an elevator in the middle.

"The district president is on the fifth floor, follow me to the elevator." said Ugar.

They followed Ugar to the elevator. On the first floor, Luna observed many elves working on tablets in cubicles, it seemed like many were stressed out and tired, some even asleep.

"Welcome to the district building, which floor do you wish to go to?" said a robotic voice in the elevator.

"Floor five please!" said Ugar.

"Elevator proceeding to floor five." said the voice of the robot.

"You guys are truly ahead of everyone." said Lazarus.

"Well since humans don't acknowledge us, we were able to get ahead in technology really quickly. Humans still think that we are in the bronze age." said Ugar.

The elevator doors opened, and on the fifth floor was the president's lounge, there were red velvet couches against the wall with a marble tile floor and a long golden table. Two women elves were waiting in front of the elevator.

"Welcome to the- Oh no! It's humans!" the elf women said as they ran toward a room.

"Wait! It's not what you think!" said Ugar.

"Who are those girls?" said Luna.

"Those are the president's maids, if she tells the vice president this won't be good." said Ugar.

"Is the President not here?!" said Lazarus.

"No, he is on lunch break at this time. Let me get to the Vice President's office!" said Ugar as he ran into the same room as the two women went.

The three of them waited in the lounge, Leon seemed unbothered, as he kicked up his feet on the couch.

"It'll be fine." said Leon.

"Yeah, I trust Ugar he wouldn't let anything bad happen to us." said Lazarus.

"Get them!" someone said.

All three of them got electrocuted and fell to the ground. They were fully restrained. They couldn't move at all. And they felt someone tying their hands up from behind them.

"Gaaaah." said Lazarus.

"Owwwww." said Luna.

"How'd you dirty, disgusting humans get in here." an elf said.

"We... are hero... myths! We came here to meet the president. We are with Ugar!" said Lazarus.

"Ahh, I see now that human-loving fool Ugar sent you here. I knew I should've taken care of him a long time ago." said the elf.

"Vice president! Hold on, the president wanted to meet them!" said Ugar.

"Shut up Ugar! Don't give me the sob story again. You've done this once already, and they weren't a hero myth they were just a damned human!" said the Vice President.

"Calm down, please! I promise this time they are, they can tell you!" said Ugar.

The Vice President then got close up into Leon's face.

"Ok then, hero myth. If you're from the soul realm, tell me this. Why are there demonic creatures outside pillaging our beautiful Yanni?" said The Vice President.

"Vice President, the former King of Yanni Alexander set this whole thing up from a failed ritual." said Leon.

Lazarus' heart started beating as he knew the true answer from the president of the Association himself, Leon didn't hear as he was asleep at the time. Though, Lazarus decided to keep quiet.

"Huh, okay, you're telling me a guy like Alexander was able to pull that off?" said The Vice President.

"Listen, this is all we know right now, if you want to see if I'm really a hero myth you can watch me for twenty-four hours and see if I need to sleep even once. I only need sleep for stamina." said Leon.

"Hah, I think I might actually do that. Hey Ugar, be useful and get me a CCTV camera would ya?" said The Vice President.

Then the elevator door rang, and the doors opened. It was the President himself. He was tall, wearing a bright green suit, with a mohawk and gold chains around his neck.

"What in the world is this ruckus?" said the President.

"Oh! Pres' you've finally come. Ugar brought some dumbass humans over again." said the Vice President.

"Hold on Koren, why the hell did you do this without my permission? These people are for sure hero myths you dumbass!" said the President.

"B-But pres' you know Ugar lies." said Koren.

"The first time was a damned miscommunication!" said the President.

The President then unshackled the three of them and helped them all up.

"I'm sorry about this mess, sit down and relax. My name is Kugar, I am the president. I'm very glad to meet you guys." said Kugar.

"Gahh, nice to meet you, you need to tell that guy to settle down." said Lazarus as he scratched his head.

"Hahaha, nice to meet you!" said Leon.

"Cool mohawk!" said Luna as she stroked it.

Kugar laughed and grabbed a champagne bottle from the golden table.

"Thank you, thank you! How about we all enjoy a glass of one of the best champagne in District 111! Hey Koren grab us five glasses please!" said Kugar.

Koren sighed but continued to get the five glasses from the kitchen.

"So, I don't want to intrude on your journey but I'm curious about the Soul Realm, and the demons that are roaming Yanni. I will reward you, so don't worry about that." said Kugar.

"Ahh don't worry about it, we love informing people about anything we can! Where do you want me to start?" said Leon.

"Well, we can start at the reason why demons are roaming Yanni." said Kugar.

"Ahh.. well you see, former King Alexander he-"

"Hold on Leon, that story is not true." Lazarus said as he interrupted Leon.

"Huh?" said Leon.
