CHAPTER 9: ABOUT THE PARTY

I slowly opened my eyes and found out that I am not alone in the room. I was facing with capital E-I-A-N…Eian in my bed, yeah; I remembered what happened to me about the party last night.

Someone exchanged my soda with spiked on it. It was not that strong because I can still manage to controlled myself. I still know what was happening and good thing, Eian found me just right on time.

I should not go to a party anymore and it was not my thing or maybe I should be more careful with my surroundings in the future. I know it will not be my last party to attend. There will be more parties to come and this would be my first lesson to it. An experience to be more alert in everything even a small detail.

I keep on staring at Eian while he was still sleeping. I thanked him for finding me last night and bringing me home safe. I could not imagine myself being, I mean with stranger then do something I might regret. I slightly touched his face not to wake him up.

He is still part of my life, my strange friend and my childhood memory. I feel sleepy again watching him in a while and the next I know I was joining him back to sleep.

I finally woke up with the ray of sunlight coming from my window. I was alone in my room no Eian sleeping beside me when I opened my eyes.

'What should I expect?'

We are not friends anymore or even in relationship that he will stay with me until I wake up. I gave myself a little stretching before getting off from bed.

I found a glass of water and a medicine for my headache in my nightstand. He seems to know that I will have that when I woke up. I did not waste any minute of it and drink it before I goes straight to my bathroom.

I felt fresh after taking a bath for an hour. I could feel my stomach was growling from hunger. Well, what do I expect again from it? I just ate a little bit last night and the time right now is past my usual eating habit.

I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. Rushing to our kitchen only to find out that there were some foods on the table already. I stood there frozen in a while before my stomach making some noises again.

I slowly walked towards the table and opened the food containers, four to be exact.

There were variety of foods choices and I am guessing he cooked these foods for me. I opened the first one; it was bacon and eggs. Second, pancakes, third one, garlic-fried rice and lastly, some pieces fried chicken. Wow, these foods can feed more than one person.

I licked my lips seeing all of the foods prepared by him make me drooling. I went to get fresh juice from the fridge and a spoon, fork from the drawer.

I started eating as if I was not eaten the whole week. It was tasty and really delicious. He really knows how to cook. I wonder how it feels like living together in the same house cooking for me every day. I smiled then...

'Wait! What am I thinking again? What is wrong with me?'

Shaking my head many times when my phone rings. I put down my spork (spoon + fork) and answered my phone.

It was Cindy on the other line.

"Hey, girl, how are you feeling right now?" She spoke.

"Well, I am a bit okay and got a good rest from what happen last night." I replied. "By the way, can you ask Vince to give me Eian's number please? I just want to say thank you for finding me just in time last night."

"Okay, I will call him later to ask for Eian's number. Thank God, Vince noticed you after I went to the bathroom when you were not with me. If it was too late then I would not forgive myself from the outcome of the incident." She sounds worriedly and guilty.

"It was not your fault what happen to me. I did not know they exchanged my drink as I put it just minutes." I spoke. "I do not know why they did what they have done to me. I never had encounter with them in school because I made sure I will not in the same path with the cheerleaders."

Yeah, I kind of sorting thing a while ago. That night, Vince gave us the drinks in can. I was sure it was still untouched but those girls bumped into me. I put it minutes on top of the counter. They were trying to distract me in a while by talking to me nonsense.

"I know why." Cindy said.

"Why?" I asked in confused.

"Brenda has a thing with Eian ever since and she thinks you are a big burden to get Eian." she said.

"What??? Why? Eian and I were not even friends at all in or out of school." I blurted out. "I doubt it if that was the reason."

"I do not know but I got a feeling that was the reason for it." I said my doubts.

We talked a little while before we said goodbyes on the phone and I continued eating then thinking at the same time.

'How could Brenda think about me and Eian? We are not even talking inside the school premises. We are just classmates this year.'

It was unbelievable if that was the reason behind it. However, I am thinking there is more to that. But for now, I will leave it behind. I do not want to stress myself with those girls acting like a kindergarten.

I went back finishing my food as I was chewing the last one inside my mouth. Suddenly, it popped my mind I realized something I did last night when Eian carried me. I stood up quickly and shouted from shock.

"Oh my gosh! I was sniffing and licking his neck that night to him. That was embarrassing."
