CHAPTER 6: I DON'T LIKE HER, SHE'S NOT MY TYPE

EIAN

I came home from school and went straight to the kitchen and grabbed some ice in the freezer. I was there sitting in the counter thinking about the almost kiss.

"What's wrong with me?" I said as I asked myself.

Closing my eyes, pictured in my mind as I went back of that moment. We were standing there in the parking area making eye to eye with each other without words.

I jumped off the counter and shook my head as I placed the ice bag into the sink and went up to my room. I really need a shower and do my homework. I think I was thinking weirdness all of the sudden.

Why would I want to kiss Callie? One, I do not like her. Two, she is not my type. Three …

What am I talking about? What am I thinking? I shook my head and took out my clothes off then junk it to my hamper.

Days passed and we got busy with our projects, lessons and homework's. I cannot wait to graduate and be in college I wanted to be like Uncle Colton.

Yes, Callie's dad. He is not just one of the CEO's in the shipping lines. But the one who build buildings, condos and others.

The bell rings for the end of my last subject. I saw Callie walked out with her best friend Cindy. I heard they were mentioning about the party tonight.

Vince tapped my shoulder. "Hey, do not forget tonight's party at my house. Since it is Friday and no classes tomorrow." Vince reminded me for his first senior party this year. His parents were out of town and be back by Monday.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. I do not know why you are this excited. It was not your first party, by the way." I shook my head as we headed out from the classroom.

"Well, I know I guess this year is different. It is our senior year, man, and I have to make good use to it. High school life is more exciting and I want to make the best memory for me." He explained. "You know we would never know what the future is after high school. If some of our friends go to college, get married, and travel the world or wherever they want to go. And whatever they wish they want in their lives. I just have to have good memories with all of you guys."

I looked at Vince as he told us. I still do not know what his plan about college even we were best of friends. We do not talk about it. But I know he will go to college and finish the course he wants to take. I could not imagine before that he was so serious about dating Cindy.

We both were not into relationship when he confessed to me that he has been liking Cindy since day one. It means when we were in second grade.

Yes, Vince moved to our town during second grade while Cindy and I were same as Callie. We have known each other when we were kids but in different situations.

He had the guts to tell Cindy how he felt for her in junior year which I thought he was not serious. But seeing him right now I already know the answer.

But I was glad he changed for the best. Cindy is the kind of girl that will not cheat on him. She may be going some parties but never did I heard she go beyond her limits.

"I know what you mean. But I will be there do not worry. Of course, I won't miss your party, man." I assured him as I patted his arm. "See you later guys since I do not have any more classes." I waved them goodbye and walked out from the school building and headed to my car.

"Eian"

I looked back at someone called my name. It was Brenda, the school queen bee and the cheerleader. She's been calling and texting me since summer. And I ignored her because I know what she wants…me. I preferred hooking up girls from other school than my school. They asked me why especially my friends but I just answered them that I have my reason.

Yes, that's true I have my own reason why I like girls outside school and that reason is on me.

"Brenda" I said. "What's up?" I asked.

"Well, I just want to know if you are going to Vince's party tonight." She asked playing tips of her hair.

"Yeah, I won't miss a thing." I spoke. "It's that all."

I saw her grinning with my answer. "Yeah, bye Eian." Then she left.

I shook my head and jumped into my car. I saw Callie just reached her car. I was there watching her for a time being like a stalker.

'Will she go to Vince's party tonight?'

I rolled my eyes. 'Why am thinking about her again?'

I saw her car leaving then drove away from school. It was the same direction going home so I was following her behind. Not close and not too far for her to notice.

Seeing her too close, for that first day of our senior high. Things were getting really weird. To me, of course, I am getting weird.

Callie entered our street. Their house came first than mine. Our areas were all secured. It was not the same as the other streets. That can easily come and go as they please.

This subdivision was developed by Callie's dad. Bought all the land and designs, of course, selling it to others. However, he does not want to sell it just to anybody he does not even know. Only this area because he wants his family and friends to be safe and secure to roam around.

Nowadays, we are unsure about our surroundings but at least to Uncle Colton's point of view. We are safe in our own area.

Tonight, is going to be another one crazy night.
