CHAPTER 36: ANOTHER STEPPING STONE

Callie was really tired. No matter how many times I wake her up. She did not open her eyes. I let the driver carried our bags so I can carry her.

Once we reached our bedroom, I changed her clothes into a pink silky night gown. I was dead tired too last night.

It was perfect and just the way I wanted to be. No, correction! It was beyond my expectations. I did not imagine they were all there to witness our vows, our ceremony. All the people close to our hearts came.

We were the firsts to get married in both families. True, our baby soon is their first grandchild. They are excited even it was just four months. Well, I am so excited too.

I left her sleep for a while when I first woke up this morning. I wanted to prepare something for her while she is still asleep. I do not know yet what to cook. Let's see what they got us in the fridge.

This is our second beach house. It is not too far from the first one. It was not as big as the first one because it has only three bedrooms. A swimming pool outside is not so big. No second floor. All in one floor and there is a beautiful room which is the master bedroom.

I decided to cook:

◾Sheet Pan Sausage and Egg Breakfast Bake

◾Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

◾Very Berry Quinoa Muffins

It is better to have it stock if Callie wants something to eat every time, she is hungry.

I first do is the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread and Very Berry Quinoa Muffins. It will take a long time than Sheet Pan Sausage and Egg Breakfast Bake.

I was happy that I finished all of it. Callie should be up now. But before I finished my last task. I could hear her footsteps towards me.

"Good morning!" I said as soon as I see her.

She smiled, walking towards me. "Good morning, hubby!" She greeted and hugged me tight.

Wow! It sounds beautiful to my ear. I cannot really believe. I am married to the one I love from the very first girl I set my eyes on.

"I love you, sweet! Are you hungry?" I kissed her forehead.

"Very! I love you too sweet." She replied.

"Okay, take your seat and I will get some orange juice out for you. Do you want it?" Callie quickly nodded and smiled.

She sat down quietly, waiting for me. She was wearing shorts and tee. A simple girl that I will always love forever.

We were walking down the beach after breakfast. It was a very nice morning to walk. Callie needs her exercise since she is pregnant. Her belly was not that obvious yesterday. But seeing her now, it seems like it grows big overnight.

"Sweet, I think your belly is obviously a little big." I told her smiling.

"You silly!" She laughed aloud. "Of course, I ate all of the dishes you prepared this morning." She added.

Yeah, it's true she ate most of the foods I prepared. I thought there should be leftover for later but my guesses not. She seems like eating more than I could imagine.

I smiled as I sniffed her hair. We were still walking for a couple of minutes. Enjoying this moment for another chapter part of our lives.

It won't be easy for both of us especially Callie. She may not be face to face with her professors personally. It will be online classes I am very sure but not the same.

We stopped in a shaded shelter with bench. Sitting there facing the sea. I gave Callie 1 liter bottle of water. Bringing it with me in case she needs it. She accepted it with her sweet and cute smile after I opened it to her.

I waited for her then she passed it back to me. I drank to finish it all.

"For the coming days, it would be other changes in our live, hon." Callie said. "I was excited with our new adventures."

I smirked when she called me Hon. It was my first time hearing it from her, another endearment. She looked up at me because I was not answering her.

"Why are you smirking?" She pouted.

"Nothing! It's just that you called me Hon for the first time I think." I smiled, kissing her forehead.

"Well, you do not like it?" She peeked on me.

"Of course, I love it. I love anything you want to call me." I kissed her lips. "I love you; you know that right?!" She nodded.

Our two nights honeymoon stays at the beach house was over. We did more memorable moments just the two of us. Of course, our intimate moments, our sex life were still there. Callie was always horny and more daring now we are married.

I am not complaining because I love it the most. No other woman can easily make me like she did.

"Sweet, are everything you need were in the boxes?" I asked for the last time.

We are moving to the big city for college. She put some of her important things with her. The moving truck was first to grab my boxes at home. Callie was the last one they pick.

"That was all I need for now." She replied with grinning. She has more boxes than me.

Every single day her belly was showing off proudly. It was kind of wondering in my part because before graduation it was just small. After our wedding, it was puff big.

Well, they say that time we were keeping it secret. Once we announced her pregnancy, it will slowly be showing it to the public. I do not know if it is true or they are just making fun of me.

Before moving to NY, we did go to her doctor yesterday. I was a little bit worried. She told us that it is okay. She recommended her close friend doctor to us in NY Hospital.

One thing that we do not have to worry about Callie. I was relieved to hear it. It is another stepping stone once we're there.
