CHAPTER 11: TEXT

SKY

I received a text from Cindy after not too long since we talked. She gave me Eian's mobile number and I saved it to my phonebook. I started writing on it but I got nervous to what I am going to say first.

"Hey Sky, why are you nervous anyway? A simple thank you would that be all." I murmured it loud as I was talking to myself.

I was thinking why am I being nervous to him. It was just a thank you text no more no less. So, I started my first word and continue.

Me: Hi! It's Sky! I got your number from Cindy and asked her boyfriend Vince about your number. I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for what you did to me last night. So… that's it THANK YOU AGAIN. ☺

I quickly send it to him before I change my mind again. Well, why am I so nervous about texting him in the first place anyway?

Then few moments later, I heard my message tone notification and saw who texted. Capital… E-I-A-N

I read his message.

Eian: No problem at all. Just be… careful next time not to leave any drinks away from your eyes. Are you okay now?

I smiled as I read it. 'Why am I smiling?'

Shaking my head, I thought he was jerk or something to me but then he showed concern about it.

Me: Yeah, I am fine now and doing my usual routine. By the way, you cooked so well and it was delicious. I ate them all. ☺😛

It did not take too long for him to reply and I am guessing he is not doing anything. I do not know where he is right now. But he gave his spare time to text each other's back and forth.

Eian: Thank you! It was good to hear, that you ate them all and you like it. Just eat a little more because you are too skinny. I hope you do not mind saying this to you and your body is okay. But put some fat a little bit but not too much. ☺

I stood quickly from my bed, looked at myself at the mirror thinking. 'Am I too skinny?' But I am not a picky eater.' I replied back, went back lying in my bed.

Me: Am I? I am not choosy when it comes to foods, I eat everything. Is it that bad? ☹

Eian: Well, not at all but for me I want a little fat on you. ☺

Do not mind what I was saying if it is your metabolism that digest easily in your system. It is a gift ☺ Lucky you, not all of the girls are conscious with their body figure. I guess, you belong to a clan with modeling type of body.

I smiled when I read his text that it was not that bad at all. How I wish I could put a little fat inside my body but I guess it's in my genes. Unless, I am married and gave birth to a baby that's what it did to all the women in our clan. They maintained their figures.

Me: "Well, I am blessed I guess ☺

Can I ask you something?"

I do not know why I wanted to ask something to him. Well, it really bothered me years ago.

Eian: Okay, go ahead. Tell me anything and I will definitely answer it, I guess.

I wasted no time and fire out what's on my mind.

Me: I know this is irrelevant about the topics we had a while ago but since we are texting then I will go with it. So, here is my question… Why are you not talking to me since I was 8? It is okay if you do not answer me. No big deal ☺

I waited for him to reply I guess he do not like my last question. Now we are back to square one again. I felt sad abruptly.

It took a little while before I heard my message tone. Excitement and anxious to what was his reply. Is it good or is it bad? Sighing deeply, opening the content.

Eian: Sorry, I went to the bathroom first. Anyway, regarding to your question, well, I do not know either. Yeah, we were close then and I am sorry it stops ☹ I do not know why but I am glad that we started texting now. It is a way that we can be friends again. Friends?

I was jumping for joy about the positive outcome to my last question. I guess we were so young before. We never attempt to ask the problem. We just let it slipped away throughout the years. I was smiling wide as I texted back.

Me: Yeah, me too, I am glad in some point. Yes, friends ☺

We were texting for an hour before we ended it and go back with our routine. I grabbed my sketchbook and draw something new.

I was in the middle of sketching when I heard some knocks on my door. I set aside and waited it to open. Caria opened it and burst inside then hugged me.

"Hey, little stranger. What's up?" I asked hugging her back.

"Mom told me about you last night. I just woke up an hour ago before I rushed here. Are you okay, Sissy?" She said with a little tear in her eyes.

I wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled.

"Yes, I am fine. Don't worry I was safe and nothing bad happened last night." Just then I noticed Zany, my cousin rushed to me and hugged too.

"Big Sky, are you really, okay?" My smiled went big knowing that they were here with me right now.

"You two, stop worrying ok! Eian saved me just in time. No harmed done but a reminder that I doubled my awareness towards the surroundings." I said with assurance. "You, two," I pointed the two of my little sisters. "Also be alert when you go to some parties okay." Giving them some advice.
