Chapter 4

Went and peered around the case of books near the wall which left about a three foot space between the two objects. Once she made her way around to face where the noise was coming from, she quickly evaluated it, when a elder's head turned around to face her as well.

"Oh Kamiko-chan, sorry I didn't notice you come in- here, let me help you settle in your luggage upstairs in your room." And from there he led her from the colorful and busy first floor shop to the home to which she would leave for the time being. The stairs didn't appear to be newly installed or anything of that sort, and were made of some oak wood. The rail was originally painted white but was now chipping at the edges and was cylindrically shaped.

Once they had both got to the top he took her past three doors, two adjacent from each, both facing the wall on which the other door was. She presumed on to be her grandparents, one a closet, and one a bathroom. The door to her room was located at the end of the sort of narrow hallway, parallels to the staircase that she came up from.

"Here you go, Sweetie." He said as he opened the door, letting her in first but following behind her to set down her overweight suitcase. From the outside, everything looks decently clean and organized, the doors paint being surprisingly undamaged, the clearness of the windows she say from the outside. . Though it still had the same vibe as the rest of the simple and traditional house, her individualized section of it had many boxes stacked against the wall that her step-father had offered to ship to her weeks ago. Only about half of them were accessible to her, the ones at the top and the few that were singled out on the hard floor with the seals on them already being broken.

She made up her mind after debating whether to start unpacking her clothes or the decorations, and decided to decorate first to make it feel more like her own space and maybe make the time fly more smoothly. And with this, she broke open the box that said posters, even though the contents of the box varied far outside of it title, and picked up one of them. It was a poster of The Beatles and took it along with a chair to place it to the left of her large window. Once she had it up, she took another one, but this one indicated the band Queen. She knew her grandparents, and probably her friends too, would find her taste odd, but she knew that once she explained to them how popular they really are in the States, they may start to understand.

After Kamiko had gotten a few more items of her décor placed up, she lit a candle and almost forgot to find her grandmother and let her know of her safe arrival. She took out of her room hurriedly and down the stairs and then looked around to try and guess where she should look first for the two. But as she started to walk away for the entrance, something caught her sight in the corner of her eye.

Something pale and white, flat and rectangularly shaped. Of course, she was curious as always and went to retrieve it. She made her way out the door and to what appeared to be an envelope that had fallen from the hand of an unknown limb. She hurried out and caught it seconds after it took on the effects of gravity that pulled it to land on the concrete.
