Fortunate

I went back to my office happy but wondering how I was mailed an appointment letter for the job meanwhile he just said I got the job. I mean if I had not said the truth he could just dismiss me from a job I've barely been 10 hrs in, well I thank God I listened to the right voice if not it would have ended in tears and disappointment for me and our boss didn't look like someone that would bother listening to any plea, he seemed so mean and right there I decided to be as honest as I could because I wasn't gonna loose a job I tried so hard to get, and besides a good one like this I was not gonna ruin it by myself. This people in charge are just free to do whatever they like without minding if they hurt the feelings of others, he could actually just kick me out of my job just like that.

It was the end of working hours already and I thanked God for really speaking to me, I could now boldly support the fact that God speaks to us with my experience with the boss as proof because I always found that confusing whenever dad mentioned it, I wasn't really able to differentiate God's voice and my instincts or maybe it's the same thing entirely, I thought to myself.

Although dad said God has a very calm and still voice while the devils voice is harsh and keeps banging in your head. You know that voice that always pops up a lie in your head and also still pops up another lie to support the first one you told, now that's totally the devil speaking. I logged out of my system, picked up my bags and headed to the parking lot, then zoomed home.

I wouldn't say it was a stressful day rather I'd call it a quiet fortunate day for me. My phone rang and it was Helen, she was having dinner with her girls and since I was new in town and had no friends or knew anyone she decided to invite me to come hang with them.

I was a bit tired but didn't decline the invite so I scanned my closet for a befitting dress, freshened up and joined them at the address I was given.

When I got there we exchanged pleasantries, Helen introduced me to her friends Sophie and Lydia, they seemed really nice and we had fun together. It was just dinner and then lots of girl talks, we exchanged numbers and I had to leave cause I had work the next day.

We all had work, Sophie was a hair stylist, she owned a hair saloon and makeup shop while Lydia was a lawyer and work in Green and Green law firm, it was a popular and well known law firm in the city. They had the best lawyers and are known to always walk out of the court room victorious.

I was happy I spent time and was going to become acquainted with some really cool girls even tho I didn't know much about them first impression they say matters a lot , we chatted like we had known for years and I really admired that, I loved their energy although I wasn't used to having so much friends around me growing up but nevertheless let's see how this goes.
