Side Story: Unknown land with dust part.4

The concept of chaos was in the middle of her game with the man in the robe who thirsts for power. Hylia and Zoro who still floats on the feather while moving ahead to her next destination. Cera who faced Ceres Fauna beneath the wave of sand, and finally Sakura Zeimachi and Nanashi Mumei that need to face another friend and foe.

Such is the summary of the previous chapter.

"...Sana..."

There was a small voice that could be heard from Nanashi Mumei's mouth pronouncing the name of her acquaintance. Like someone who had met an old friend, Nanashi Mumei seemed taken aback by this opportunity.

While on the other hand is a man who for an instant had hatred visible in his eyes. A feeling he always felt when he met 'Them'.

"Sana huh...What is her full name?"

"Full name? It was...Tsukumo Sana...Yeah I think it's Tsukumo for the first then Sana comes after it. By the way, why did you keep calling me with my first name?"

"Hmm...So she's Tsukumo-san then."

The man acted like an ignorant fool. He understood that Tsukumo Sana was being controlled by something much stronger than her, but he didn't tell it to Nanashi Mumei who asked about the formalities.

Even now her colossal avatar still gave off a smile full of sorrow and attachment from what his eyes could see. To him, the expression on Tsukumo Sana's face showed how long she had been waiting to be reunited with her comrade but overshadowed by an invisible hand.

"You know...I'm not mad if you call me Mumei, just Mumei without any honorific either."

Nanashi Mumei thought that the man beside her was an obedient person with ethic and manners. She remembered about some of the etiquette shared by many humans, even so Nanashi Mumei still chose her free spirit over following rules that would burden her. That's more or less the picture he got from seeing Sakura Zeimachi.

'...Nameless? No, if it's about their lore then it must be Ancient one.'

But the man didn't even glance at her while she's saying that. He locked his sight to the neck of Tsukumo Sana, where he could see something that's hard to describe yet gave him a familiar feeling.

He put up his hand while holding his chin without noticing the Guardian of Civilization who was poking his shoulder.

*Tsun*

"Hm? Nanashi-san. What're you doing?"

*Tsun*

"Yes? Umm...Nanashi-san?"

*Tsun*

"Can you tell me what's in your mind please?"

*Tsun*

The guardian of civilization appeared to be irritated with his insolent act to ignore her while she's the one who did the talking. Now, he need to face the wrath of the entire Civilization.

Moving on from their skit into the space far above their head. There, the speaker of 'Space' Tsukumo Sana was looking at them with her colossal body that were much bigger than the planet they were on.

{Stop resisting, Space. For we're not tolerant in your deed.}

There is Tsukumo Sana who is being controlled by the Ancient one. Beings that had been watching from a very long time before even the gods created their concept into this world. Therefore no matter how strong and great Tsukumo Sana was, with her own strength she would not be able to escape their grasp.

{The humanity will fall and that Guardian will be destroyed many times. You can do nothing to stop that.}

When Tsukumo Sana saw Nanashi Mumei's pouting expression, she subconsciously reached out her hand to pinch those bulging cheeks. A glimmer of memory passed through her memory causing her to give off a different smile than before, a smile that was shown when looking at the past.

But it didn't last to long because something took control of her body again and rendering her emotion useless with the power and might of an Ancient one.

{Not even your plan with the 'Time' could stop the omen of her downfall. That concept, The Guardian of Civilization...Will definitely perish. After that I'll create my world by using you and the others.}

Even though Tsukumo Sana tried to fight back, she couldn't resist from the pressure of the creature that was communicating with her.

{The end for her as well humanity.}

Using Tsukumo Sana's body, the Ancient One who had control over her gigantic body pulled meteors and debris from space to eliminate Nanashi Mumei. The space stones that could destroy all life and even the planet were multiplying and flying slowly towards them.

{You're still struggling but it's meaningless. Humanity will die along with her. I'll shred every part of her and seal it by using your power of 'Space' and not even the 'Time' itself could save her again.}

Slowly but surely, Tsukumo Sana lost her grasp over her consciousness. If she close her eyes for a seconds then she'll lost her control over her body and their last hope will die.

{This is too...My victory.}

Tsukumo Sana tried to utilize everything she could to stop her body from moving unconsciously but to no avail, those meteor and space debris will soon crash and killed Nanashi Mumei in the process. She wanted to cry but she can't, she wanted to asked for help, but there's nobody that could help her over there.

'...N-No...'

{Now DIE! HAHAHAHA!!!}

Having lost the last control over her own body, Tsukumo Sana began to fall into her subconscious. The last thing she could remember was the ancient one's laughter that managed to overwhelm her body.

'...Someone.'

With her eyes closed, Tsukumo Sana felt her power as a 'Speaker' of space begin to dissipate and be controlled by the Ancient one. She intended to go with the flow and disappear into the darkness of her subconscious, however...

'It's too soon for you to give up, Tsukumo-san.'

She was stopped by someone's voice.

'Who..?'

She opened her eyes where the darkness that should have engulfed her had turned into a void filled with feathers scattered everywhere.

'I am just a passing fool who are in the middle of his journey, Tsukumo-san. Your friend Nanashi-san has told me things about you.'

The man who was hiding her face invited Tsukumo Sana to talk more before she gave up.

'Is this....a dream?'

'A dream? Ahaha~ You can say it like that. But you know Tsukumo-san?'

'Huh? W-Where?!'

The man turned his back and made the surroundings pitch black again. Instantly Tsukumo Sana became panicked by the changes around her.

'Your dream...Will not end here. There's still many more that you'll have~'

'...What?'

The darkness that had filled her subconscious felt very cold, but for some reason she felt that someone was calling for her. She didn't know who it was, but she knew that person's voice from her subconscious.

"That's why...It's time to awake from your dream, Tsukumo-san, no...Sana."

"Aaannd there he goes..."

Cera said as she wiped Ceres Fauna body that has been slightly injured from their battle. The outcome is very clear, its Cera victory without even a single scratch.

"O-Ow...Why are you touching it so hard?!"

It seems like Cera used a cold towel to relieve the heat from the sand that clings to her body, the same to Ceres Fauna who lies on the ground with her torn clothes. However she touched a wrong place where there's a dark spot from getting corrupted by that chaos incarnate which made Ceres Fauna shriek a little.

"Ohh sorry, so it's really effective for nature huh...Then why are you the one being entrusted to cage her while being so easy to be corrupted?"

"That was...What Bae approve from corrupting Mumei away. She's our leader in the council, but that doesn't mean she could handle the Ancient either. When this cycle begin and Sana got controlled, Bae will be the closest one from destroying Mumei as the chaos will always inside humanity's heart."

Ceres Fauna pull out her golden apple that could govern over nature and also the same apple that could protect her from Cera's aura. Even though she lost her green crystal which served as a confinement for Hakos Baelz, she was still strong enough to fight Cera for a few more minutes.

"Kroni too...She has been searching for every timeline that could make Mumei alive without sacrificing anyone. She...Kroni was really desperate to keep Mumei alive and to keep us save. She mend the time so many times when...What are you doing?"

Ceres Fauna explanation stopped when Cera spread the sand above their head to block any left-over stone from his clash. She enforced the sea of sand just like Gaara that could sink an entire village by using sand tsunami.

"You can move, Fauna?"

"Eh? Uh...Yeah, this much should be fine for me to move. But where..."

"Let's go."

Cera pushed Ceres Fauna from her back to urge her from dilly dallying and rushing on her feet. They're not that different in heights, but not the same for their ches- I mean their health. Since Ceres Fauna took more beating than her, Cera felt responsible to help her this much.

"Wait up...Umm Cera, where're we going? We need to protect Mumei-"

It's seems like the mother nature is a mother nonetheless. She still wanted to know about where and what Cera going to do by dragging her away from Nanashi Mumei.

"Don't worry, we got that fool up there."

But all her worries were dispelled with just a few words from the oxblood-haired girl's mouth. Seeing the confidence shown by Cera, the mother nature began to feel attracted to the identity of the fool she spoke to her.

"Ahhh...Too sad for you Fauna, but you're not his type. So don't let it to your heart, girl~ We're going to assemble the council again, so I ask for your cooperation now~"

And as if a mind reader could guess what was in her mind, Cera said another misunderstanding to Ceres Fauna who was confused about Cera's intentions.

After that, Cera along with Ceres Fauna went to their closest battlefield where that cloaked man fought with Hakos Baelz.

The moment they arrived at this stage, strange substances and wisps of energy manifested into anything and launched themselves to attack them. Even the soil that has been contaminated with the content of chaos is not friendly with them, sometimes their stepping ground is flat, sometimes bouncing, sometimes sharp, sometimes also in the form of a hole with no visible bottom.

"I already face many form of chaos incarnate before, but this time is...How do I say..."

"Cute?"

"...I'm concerned about your taste but it's not only that. She's like...I mean she's indeed cute but... She's more like using her power to create chaos than to be the chaos it self."

"I see, Bae is cute isn't it. She is not a bad girl that'll destroy humanity like what you thought of, but its about her power..."

"Yeah...No matter what how it is, her power to deliver this phenomenon could easily destroy humanity in no time. It doesn't mean 'Space' is good either, why it must her then who got controlled?"

"...Its..."

Their conversation was interrupted by a sudden burst of clash created from Chaos and Yamato's slashes. The explosion made the ground around them crumble and become chaotic as their fight continued.

"You shall die."

"Not until I sei so."

The cloak had been shattered revealing a white-haired young man along with the scents of Sparda and Yamato in his hand. On the other side is the rat girl or the concept of chaos, she lets out her wild smile as she faced that young man with more color in her body different than before.

"Oh yeah! When will that Kroni show her nose?"

"Kronii is..."

"I'm already here."

"Hoa?!"

"Ah there she is."

While watching their fight from a stumb created by Ceres Fauna, suddenly Ouro Kronii the warden of time appeared behind their back and chimed in to their conversation. Even though Ceres Fauna think of this as a natural occurrence, Cera who can't handle being surprised think the otherwise.

"Whoaa...You a flash or something?!"

"I'm the time warden, I can appear at whatever times ticking. Long time no see, Fauna. Looks like Bae is here as well."

The warden of time greeted one of her acquaintances and saw another one of her comrade on the battlefield.

The reason Ouro Kronii suddenly appeared behind them… was actually not that great. She just wanted to surprise them and impress the new people she met. But not only that, the most important reason was because she couldn't find Nanashi Mumei's whereabouts in this place.

"Kronii! You're very cool as always. How long has it been? Hundred years? or maybe Thousands?"

"Uhmm...It's almost, it's very long for sure. Maybe twenty thousand or twenty five."

Even though Ceres Fauna spoke with a bright smile on her face, Ouro Kronii could feel a menace between her words. The warden of time close her eyes to avoid direct eye contact from Ceres Fauna who keep her smile with a hidden malice.

They also enjoyed their reunion for a while before Ouro Kronii asked the same thing as Ceres Fauna.

"So...Any of you seen Mumei?"

"I saw her, but she's above this sand."

Although Cera didn't mind answering, she felt that the relationship between the council members was more complicated than it seemed.

"Yeah she's up there but you better not rash to her for now. We need to snap that little Chaos back before it completely destroy everything in this land."

"How can Bae turned out like that? Thought you keep her safe Fauna?"

"...I'm sorry, someone stole my crystal that hold her Chaos side from showing."

The two councilors noticed the area around them was starting to get worse. Even though Ouro Kronii and Ceres Fauna tried to restore the land back to how it used to be, the chaos that had been caused would devour normal things again.

"Where're you going to Cera?"

"Well...Day care. Oh yeah, my name Cera nice to meet you."

"Kronii, my pleasure as well."

Cera introduced her name to Ouro Kronii who looks at her just like when something is bothering her. Even though Cera knew what the source of her suspicions is, she has no intention to clear it up. She just leave from that place to chase after the two people that got lost.

Meanwhile....There's Zoro and Hylia who got stranded in the middle of nowhere because Zoro asked to be the driver of that feather.

"Wait Zororo! That way is not the right way!"

"Whaaa?! Spoke that earlier!"

"I told you! But you turn left just when I told you to go straight ahead."

"What do mean I turned left?! Aren't we supposed to went straight!"

"No...Zororo...That's just what I told you. That's left, and this way is straight ahead."

"Oh I see..."

They move for another twenty meter before Zoro turned again to the other way.

"Zororo! That's right not left!!!"

"Ahhhh!!! Stop screaming at my ears!! Can't you see I'm driving."

Their journey continue.
