「This is a piece of his past」

In one cold night, Zeimachi was sitting beside a burning bonfire.

Together with a sleeping girl wearing his jacket as a blanket, the sound of scorched firewood could be heard by his ears.

"... Wake up, they'll be here."

Watching the dancing flames swallowing the fuel provided by him, Zeimachi then wore his jacket after he shoved the body a certain someone who was sleeping on his lap.

The girl's body fell, and her long hair almost touched the still burning flames.

"How long are you going to do this Cera?"

Luckily Zeimachi managed to prevent it and again tried to wake up Cera who was resting on his lap.

Not long after, Cera who felt disturbed finally woke up and opened her eyes. Carrying a tired feeling because she was still sleepy, Cera who lifted her body from the man's lap looked directly at him.

"So EoS is now? Hmmmmnnhhh~ Fuuhh... have you said good bye at Pecorinne and co?"

Seated while wearing her robe, Cera yawned and asked the main reason about why they're residing in that world, even though Zeimachi looked quite stiff when Cera said those names, but since he didn't want to make a big deal out of it he just nodded at her.

"Alright, so when will they come Zei?"

"I'm not sure either, but when scent from the end of this world touches their nose... you know the rest. Besides, although you said it as EoS... there's actually no server in this world."

"Doesn't matter~ Ameth is still in here despite this world coming to an end. So I could said it as an EoS right?"

"... Not wrong, but still not the correct one though."

That world they're currently in, is a world that will soon reach its end.

A place, space, planet, simulation or whatever it's called that'll be erased from existence along with whatever inside of it as it has been forgotten from the grace of their creator.

That world would be erased, and that was no exception for the two people who were arguing at the moments. Based from their experience of having seen many endings, they should've understand the consequences.

"Psst Zei. Look over there, it's Kokkoro-chan."

"Hmm? Ah Kokkoro-san. We're over here~"

No, they must've understood it. Yet despite that they chose to stay.

Whether they had the same reasons or not, the fact of their decision to stay couldn't be changed by anyone nor stopped by anything.

"So the two of you are here, Zeimachi-sama and Cera-sama. Tonight brought a cold and shivering wind, could I ask why are the two of you camping outside?"

The small girl who approached them from afar is Kokkoro. A small elf girl with short white hair, and pink eyes who have been living in that world.

Acting as a servant of her lord according to oracle from Lady Ameth, Kokkoro who are nothing more than some teen-years old elf can be quite mature at time.

Wearing a thin and short green-white dress, it was no wonder she felt the freezing wind seeped into her skin. That's why as soon as that little elf girl reached their side, she crouched down to warm her palm near the bonfire.

"Well we're just enjoying the stars, if you felt cold then you should've stay inside Kokkoro-chan."

Cera said so while taking an available space next to the little elf girl.

"You don't really need to worry about us as we're traveler and all. Nevertheless, could it be... Kokkoro-san you're coming to get us?"

While Cera was using her robe to cover the little elf girl's legs, Zeimachi who had read the little elf girl's mind used their adventurer roleplay to trick Kokkoro, and to remove her from the scene as well.

In a world themed around guilds, quests and adventurers. Zeimachi used his name as an adventurer along with Cera who complied as she had lost their bet from rock, paper, scissors.

Formerly Cera wanted for the two of them to roleplaying as siblings who ran away because they fell in love from the other continent, but since being adventurer are more easier to handle Zeimachi reject her idea, leading them to fight over which one to chose.

Thus right now they're an adventurer from the other continent.

"As expected of Zeimachi-sama, you always know everyone thoughts."

Kokkoro complimented Zeimachi sincerely.

Ever since they met and traveled together, Zeimachi always acted as if he could see the future whether it be when he found a criminal in disguise, or when he prevented a crime. This sometimes makes Kokkoro think that he is able to read other people's thoughts, well though she can't prove it.

"Yes its exactly as to what you said. My lord, Pecorine-sama and Karyl-sama asked about your whereabout as the two of you disappear so sudden. We're going to dinner soon so it'll be better to be there, today Pecorine-sama got an appetite after all."

While inviting the two to join her along with her friend for dinner, Kokkoro who was still warming herself beside Cera took out a tea bottle and poured it for the three of them.

Even though they felt that there was no need to pour out all of that, Zeimachi and Cera ended up finishing the tea out of respect for the little elf girl's actions.

"Now that I've seen it, enjoying starry night with warm bonfire and tea in my hand is not a bad at all... Excuse me, do the two of you want more?"

Kokkoro who realized that the cup she gave them is empty then offered another serve from bottle of tea that was in her small bag, but because they had had enough, with a heavy heart they had to refuse.

They still thought of it as a pleasant treat before they face the inevitable doom.

"Then Kokkoro-san, we'll soon join after cleaning this place for a bit. So could you tell them to warm our seat?"

"Yup Kokkoro-chan~ I'll help him and make sure to arrive so I'll get another tea from you alright?"

Zeimachi and Cera who noticed the sparkling light from the stars in the night sky, started to get ready. Soon their uninvited guest will arrive, just like bugs and insects guided onto the rotten apple which has fell to the ground.

While they're still preparing, Kokkoro who looked up witnessed an amazing sight.

"Beautiful... and there're more and more."

What was just one beautiful star in the night sky increased to three, then multiplied to hundreds and still continues to increase thousands of times.

In the eyes of ordinary people, the star does look like a beautiful sight.

Even Kokkoro showed a bright and flabbergasted expression just like a child who saw something amazing, but it was not the same for the two who had known something ominous behind that sparkling stars.

"Ohhh what a rare sight. Kokkoro-san hurry and call Yuuki with the others, or they'll miss this scene."

"*Sigh*... I guess I don't really need to clean this place up huh~ Good for you Zei. Quick Kokkoro-chan, or everyone is gonna miss it~"

Patting the little elf girl's shoulder, Zeimachi and Cera told Kokkoro to hurry back to where her friends were so she could escape. If she was allowed to continue staring at them for too long, Kokkoro would eventually be "dragged along" too.

That's why Zeimachi used his skill in lying to trick the little elf girl, while Cera put a follow-up for it.

"Ah, I guess the two of you are right! I'll bring everyone right now, please wait a moment."

Kokkoro quickly stepped away to call her friends, the little elf girl thought that she would be able to share the beautiful scenery with her master, as well as the rest of the guild's member.

However in fact she wont be able to.

"Yeah, see you."

"Bye bye Kokkoro-chan~"

Her back that was slowly disappearing as she ran, was the last sight Zeimachi and Cera saw before they focused their attention on the stars getting bigger in the sky.

With the oxblood aura disappearing in the blink of an eye, Cera had limited the range of the fight that would ensue.

"I've put the seal Zei. Now they're safe and we're good to go."

"... Is that so."

Sighing his breath, Zeimachi stood up and approaches Cera who had spread her own aura to ward off the after effects. The two who were standing by each other's side, rise their heads towards those beings that had come to take whatever was in the world.

"Hmm... World Eaters, around thousand heads or something... Based from how they're doing, looks like they're struggling in breaking in. So what now Zei, slice and dice?"

In front of the cosmic creatures capable of swallowing the earth and all of its contents, Cera doesn't seem to really care about it. More than being scared, she acted like the being called as World Eater is nothing more than a rare sight in the desert.

"You've played fruit ninja don't you, just swipe them all in one move."

Cera grabbed a sword that appeared out of nowhere and started to make the steel become overflowed with her aura. In contrast to her, Zeimachi only took out a feather on his palm which then turned into an ethereal formation around their ground.

Now they were both ready, ready to fulfill their final reason, about why they were still in this world that was about to be destroyed.

"Then again... I really want to say good bye to everyone. And why did you said "see you" at her Zei? Didn't you know there's no hope for this world? How could you even meet her when she'll be destroyed along in this world with her beloved."

"Did you really need to ask?"

Zeimachi said the word with a bruh expression.

"Whaat did you said you prickling human!?"

Hearing Cera's words as if she wanted to dig something out of his chest, Zeimachi glanced at the feather which reminded him of someone. A thing he had gotten from someone, the owner of feather of eons and the warrior of fire and sword.

The bagua formation gave off a bright golden light, which then trapped the intruders who kept trying to tear the fabric of reality apart. With an armor donned on his figure, Zeimachi opened his mouth.

"Kokkoro-san... Kokkoro will soon have her birthday."

There's no words needed to be exchanged when she heard that.

"... *Sigh*... How long?"

"We probably need to hold them for ten or twelve days."

"Gotten soochi~ Lets think of gifts for her as well. Then I should've said see you later as well huh... You should've told me if you got some plan like that."

Using her sword, Cera launched a casual slash towards the sky. The sky and the formation which was unable to bear the weight of the slash split apart, along with the fake stars and their true nature.

The star which at first looked like a dazzling beautiful light shattered, spread, and creeped upon receiving the first greeting from Cera. They look like a worm, crawling at the night sky while hiding behind the brilliant light.

"... I'm suck in telling my pure intention you see."

Now the real wave has come.

The two of them who were well prepared with their protection, weapons, and determination, advanced to the battlefield just to delay the inevitable for the sake of a girl's birthday.

From perception of other's maybe this could be assumed as a fool move.

Why would they even do something so useless when they were still nothing more than a rebel from the eye's of gods of different dimension and being of faraway?

"Zei... when will we keep doing this? ... I mean, can't we have our peaceful time or sometime where we got to be protected instead of protecting others?"

But then again he's always been a fool all this time, while although Cera may not be the same as him, but she who just wants to find something from her journey with Zeimachi never care what other people think about the foolish man.

"... I don't know, Cer. That time you're talking right now, probably wouldn't even come at all. As long we continue to fight, our life will never be peaceful."

Cera who heard his words showed a face filled with sorrow, she who wished for the impossible could only look up at the torn sky, which was leaking a loathsome creature from within.

"Yeah... somehow you're right. So for now... let's get them out of Kokkoro-chan birthday prep, idiot champ."

"... You're always quick with the change of hearts, but yeah... I could agree with that. Please let me borrow your strength, Fuka-san."

In the interior of Soukai City, there is a hidden village whose existence has been kept a secret because of the legends that people have heard.

The village is like a place in a remote area that still has traditional building structures and a culture that is also primitive.

Previously indeed, the village was kept secret.

However, when an unknown man somehow gets lost in the village, the whereabouts of the village and its inhabitants gradually begin to be heard by many people.

The name of the village is Yae Village, the village where Yae Rin, Yae Sakura and Higokumaru live.

"Let go of your sister and get dressed already!"

"N-Noooo! I don't want to school! There're so many stranger in there, what will happen if they—"

"That's why ME, your friend is coming to get you pinky head! Sakura sis, say something to this sister of you!"

"Sakura nee-chan..."

Within Yae village and in the house inhabited by Yae sister, there is a commotion caused by Yae Rin. Clinging onto her big sister's leg, Yae Rin who doesn't want to obey Sirin's invitation has made Sirin enraged which made Sirin needed to use her fist to knock some sense to the Yae Rin.

"W-wait up Sirin, if Rin really didn't want to meet with other people... I can tutor—"

"That's not the word that I mean Sakura sis! Geez just how can I meet someone worse in siscon than that Big bro."

As time moved there, the little girls slowly matured and started to grow into beautiful flowers. Whether it's Yae Rin or Sirin, they have changed compared to when Sakura Zeimachi and his personality came to that world.

The isolated girl who previously could only live as a restrained girl, now has got a new friend named Sirin. She who previously could only learn from books, now can learn new things about the world thanks to Sirin who followed Sakura Zeimachi's footsteps as a free soul.

"Stop getting worried, although I'm not a honor student I got some friends you could know. And don't you want to meet M☆gical girl Teri-Teri in person? I'll ask Bella so you could getting used with new people."

"... I want though... I do want but! ... Outside is terrifying! I just want to learn it from you and Onee-chan!"

Yae Rin covered her body with the blanket she found after she released her hug to Yae Sakura's leg. It seems she's slowly forming her own view of how the world outside her room works, due to many things Sirin had brought for her.

The three of them still continued their clamor.

Yae Sakura who is confused about who to choose, Yae Rin who is protecting herself with a blanket, and Sirin who is pulling Yae Rin's protective blanket.

And in the middle of the commotion, there came Higokumaru with cup of water and fried tofu on her little hands.

"If school is what you want, why don't we built one here. Sakura-nee know someone who liked to be teacher right? Raven was it. We could just use some unused building in village so Rin doesn't have to enter academy in the city. *Gnam* ... Wyeell it'll be troublesome though *Gnam*."

While leisurely walking towards the television and pressing the remote, Higokumaru who was casually eating her tofu uttered an idea that the three of them couldn't think of.

After all, who would want to set up a school in a village like that. Plus, who are the students?

"Ah! That reminds me, beside from Saint Freya there's another school both Rin and Higokumaru could get in."

Sirin who remembered something made Yae Sakura interested to hear it, while Higokumaru who was surprised why her name was also included became surprised while swallowing her food.

After Sirin memorized well what she was going to say, she finally spoke what was on her mind.

"ELF academy!"
