Chapter 12 - Aunt Holly?!

David, Biance, and I: Aunt Holly? What are you doing here?!

Aunt Holly: (fake smile) Oh hey kids! Long time no see huh?

The three of us decided to keep quiet. Cianco, who was confused as ever, turned to Aunt Holly, his head tilted to the left. He then looked at me and asked:

Cianco: Do...I know her Nabi?

Me: Oh right! My bad Cianco. (points at Aunt Holly) This is Aunt Holly, Uncle Davis's wife. Aunt Holly, this is Cianco, our second oldest brother, basically the last born of the family.

(Out of ALL people who could host us, why her?!)

Aunt Holly: Oh my! Cianco, I am super happy to meet you, son! Let me give you a HUGE hug!

Cianco: I am happy to meet you too Auntie! (embraced into his aunt's hug)

David and I looked at Aunt Holly, shocked at what she was doing, embracing Cianco into a hug.

David and I: (in our minds) Pfft, hug? Sounds too good for her to be that kind...

Aunt Holly: Wait, so last born you say?

David and I: Yes.

Aunt Holly: Sho! (turns to Cianco) Then you must be super spoilt!

Before I could answer, Cianco quickly responded, leaving me, David and Biance shocked.

Cianco: No! Just because I'm the last born of the family doesn't mean I am spoilt, our parents treat us equally so no child is being favored over the other, okay?

Aunt Holly: (shocked by what Cianco just said) I am very sorry, my bad. I didn't mean to say that.

Cianco: No, it's okay. Just had to clear that misconception out of the way quickly.

Biance decided to stand close to Becca, leaving Ace, Amy, Becca, and John puzzled at what was happening. Biance then started to smile, feeling proud, I guess? Of the sharp words Cianco shot back at Aunt Holly.

Me: Aunt Holly, we would love to introduce you to a family we met on this island, blah, blah, blah - no need to know the story, but this is Ace, Amy, with their daughter Becca and son John.

Aunt Holly: Nice to meet you Ace, Amy, Becca, and John!

Ace, Amy, Becca, and John: Likewise! 

Amy: Thank you so much for welcoming us into your private space.

Ace: Yeah, we truly appreciate it.

Aunt Holly: Private space? Not at all, it is always a pleasure - I mean there's always a saying, "Mi casa, Su casa" You must know the saying John and Becca, right?

John: Yes ma'am.

Becca: Yes ma'am.

Aunt Holly: Oh please kids! No need to call me ma'am, just call me like what Cianco and the rest said - Aunt Holly, I prefer you call me that, please.

John and Becca: Okay...Aunt Holly.

Aunt Holly: Good now, so please do come inside!

Aunt Holly opens the door wide and lets everyone through - she lets Cianco and Biance through, leaving me and David outside, closing the door behind her and looking into our eyes with her fiery eyes.

Aunt Holly: After many years huh? After so many years, you finally came.

David: It's not like we wanted t---

I close David's mouth so as not to cause more feud.

Me: Well, what David meant was that we didn't know that the letters we have been receiving were from you.

David: I don't mean to be rude but I meant what I said sis - It's not like we knew you were the one sending us the letters and if we knew we wouldn't have come, okay? 

Aunt Holly: Wow! Oh really? You should be thanking me, David!

I got so annoyed because of the argument to the point that I lost it.

Me: (upset) Just stop it! The both of you! Listen, we both did not know that we would bump into you, and for that, we are so sorry, but we are also thankful that you did help us out because we did not know exactly how to look for help, so for that we thank you! Now please, can we...(sighs) can we just stop fighting and just discuss the main point of us being left outside? Please?

David and Aunt Holly were completely stunned by what I did. After a few seconds, they both calmed down and Aunt Holly began to talk.

Aunt Holly: First, you are right, I didn't know you would be the ones I help and second, the I scratch your back and you scratch mine deal is still on, okay?

David: Yes aunt, we still remember the deal, and if you don't mind me asking, what is the deal about?

Aunt Holly: Don't worry, you will know when the time's right Dave.

David and I, confused, just for the sake of peace just decided to agree to her terms.

David and I: Okay aunt.

Biance and Cianco's POV:

Cianco: Geez, what's taking them so long?!

Biance: Beats me. Do you think we should check up on them?

Cianco: Sounds like a good plan.

Before she and Cianco head out to check on David and Nabia, she decides to make sure that Ace and the family are settled in first.

Biance: So, are you all good and settled?

Amy: Oh yes, thank you very much.

Becca: We are good, thanks B!

John: Yeah...thank you...Biance.

John slightly blushed at the thought of saying this.

Biance: (flushed) Oh well, that's, um, great to hear...John.

Ace and Amy look concerned, while Cianco and Becca look at each other, knowing exactly what is happening between the two of them.

But because they are both the youngest, who would think of them as "love experts?"

Amy: (concerned) Are you kids, okay?

John and Biance: (startled) We are fine, thank you!

Amy: (totally unconvinced but goes with the flow) Okay...if you say so.

Biance: Cianco and I will be heading out just now to check up on Nabia and David, so will you all be okay here?

Ace: Absolutely. Please, don't worry about us.

Becca: Yes, we will all be okay - right John?

John: Yes! Please don't worry about us!

Biance: Okay then - that's great to hear!

Cianco: We'll be heading out now!

Amy: Okay, be safe!

Biance: Thank you!

End of Biance and Cianco's POV

Back to the main POV:

After that weird, confusing conversation, Aunt Holly then said something else to us before she opened the door.

Aunt Holly: Okay...about the deal, I will tell you what it's all about only on one condition.

David and I: (in our minds) There are still more conditions to comply with?!

Me: Okay aunt.

Aunt Holly: Only on the condition that once I help you exit this island, you will allow me to hop in with you all. Is that a fair deal?

David: Okay, sounds fair enough.

Aunt Holly: Good then. The deal is about the plane crash you faced. I think you once got told by this family that the Automated Pilot uses their services as bait to kidnap people right?

David and I: Right.

Aunt Holly: Well...

David and I: Well...?

Aunt Holly: That's all I can tell you this evening, it's too much to bear even if I would tell you now, so about we all get a good night's rest and discuss all this tomorrow with everyone, okay?

David and I: Aunt Holly?! You can't leave us on a cliffhanger like that!

Me: But, you are right though...we do need a good night's rest.

David: Couldn't agree more.

Aunt Holly then opened the door and let us in...finally??? We then carried on with our conversation.

David: Aunt, by the way, I am loving this house here! It...It looks amazing.

Aunt Holly: Is that a bribe, David?

I then started to laugh.

 Me: Totally Aunt Holly!

David: No it's not, and you know it too sis!

We all walked to where the others were and David and I threw ourselves on the couch for the first time in a LONG time!

(At least hope has been given to us?!)

Me: (in my mind) Today, will indeed be a good night's rest...
