Chapter 10 - Truths Revealed Part 3

David: (scratches his head) Hehe...you ready to hear it?

Everyone is confused and so they all sit down, anticipating what David has to say.

Cianco: Okay then - we are ready, so take it away.

David: Okay. Yesterday, I went out and along the way, I picked up a paper that I didn't want to take, but then said it was for our survival. So I took it and told Nabia about it last night whether she knew anything about it but long story short, this paper I am about to show you reveals the steps that were given to us to survive.

John: So - what happens when we don't follow along?

David looked at me, I knew what he wanted me to do.

Me: Well John, we prefer we all give you the paper for all to read.

David took out the paper and gave it to Ace, who then placed it on the sand for everyone to read. Ace, Amy, John and Becca's expressions quickly changed as they read the last few words of the instruction.

Ace, Amy, Becca, and John: THIS ISLAND WILL EXPLODE?!?!

Me: Yeah...but that's just the beginning.

Cianco and John: THE BEGINNING?!

David: Yeah, when I told you that I had to go west of the island to do something? It was to fetch more information regarding the last instruction.

Biance: Ohh

Becca: That makes sense now.

Me: So, what happened when you got there by yourself?

David: Nothing happened - all the person said was as long I came along, even if you didn't come that's okay.

Amy: If you don't mind me asking, but, why would they only ask you and Nabia to go fetch the latter part of the last instruction?

David: Mmm, never thought about that...I should have asked.

John and Cianco quickly rose.

Cianco: Dave, bro, you just said "the person" so does that mean...

John: That there is someone else other than us on this island?

Me: Seems like it, boys.

Then, a moment of silence came. Then Ace, who was very quiet for this entire time, decided to break the short silence.

Ace: So...is there a deadline for following these instructions?

David: Yes - in 4 to 5 days.

Me: That's why we have to jump onto these instructions as soon as we possibly can, probably tomorrow.

Biance: Let's start now.

David and I: Huh?

Biance: Yeah, I mean we are all awake and we can try one instruction at a time...that's if, everyone agrees with this.

Amy: Sounds like a great plan.

Ace: Couldn't agree more, kids?

Becca and John: Let's do this thing!

We then opened the second instruction we received today and David read it out:

"Thank you for collecting this second part of the instructions. Since you collected this letter on time, I will extend the deadline by two days. Like I said, this island can explode at any given time so follow my instructions CAREFULLY. I know you have been meaning to know the person behind this letter but you will find out in due time. Anyway:

Step 1: Move from your current location to the west of this island. FYI, this island is SUPER huge so the best way for you to be seen by any planes, or helicopters is by moving from your current location to the location that's in this instruction, okay?

So, to get to your new location, ask David to lead the way on this matter.

To David:

"Just the same direction you took when you came to collect this letter, follow the same path for your new location, tomorrow, I will send more info on your new location."

(That doesn't sound too difficult to follow, right?)

It may sound easy but since I have helped you this much, I also have a favor to ask.

(Did she read my mind?!)

There's always a saying that goes "I scratch your back and you scratch mine" Well, it's time for you to scratch "my back" so to say by providing me a few answers to my questions.

Follow this one instruction and by tomorrow, I will send the second step to you.

Good night, looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!"

We were left stunned by this letter, mouths opened, eyes wide that we all even lost sleep in that instant.

David: So...what do you say, everybody? Should we do it?

Before even a minute of silence could burst, we all answered happily, full of excitement and determination:

Amy, Ace, Becca, John, Biance, Cianco, and I (in unison): LET'S DO THIS!

We all started to pack our belongings---

Woah, woah, woah...what belongings??? Yeah, I mean the big leaves we used as our beds, those were our belongings...for the time being.

Anyway, we started the journey of heading west of this island for more instructions on how to escape this time-ticking island.
