Kubera opened his eyes to find the rain still pouring, his sword still in his right hand and his left arm gone. He wanted to cry and just lay there and accept his fate, but he couldn't, no, he can't. His parents sacrificed too much for him, he can't die at the hands of these demons! 

"haha.. hahahahaaHAAHAHAHAHAA" Kubera's bloodlust was at an all time high, his heart was beating fast yet heavy, and his aura was crashing all over the boat! Causing cracks to appear on the boat and the river to sway about wildly. A god of death had awoken from his slumber and wanted nothing but to see this world burn. 

Kubera's muscles bulged out of his clothing, and the blood leaking from his left arm started to increase, "IF I'M GOING TO DIE, ALL OF YOU WILL COME WITH ME!" Kubera roared into the heavens, as if shouting to the one behind all of this, the one who brought selkies into this world, who cursed him with this fate, at everything! 

As if responding to him, an axe came spinning at him from the trees! Kubera dodged the axe, which stuck to the floor. However, behind Kubera was the one who threw the axe, a selkie who had dashed behind him as he was focused on the axe! Kubera sensed something and twirled his body and slashed. The selkie however lunged for the axe and parried his sword with it! Kubera was knocked back to the edge of the boat, where he got a good look at this new selkie.

"An elite.." Kubera muttered to himself as he readied himself. Both started circling around, then BOOM! 

Kubera slashed downwards and the selkie slashed upwards, both weapons colliding with each other, causing an explosion between the weapons due to the shear power, causing both to be pushed back. They both began to attack and block each others attacks!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Kubera stepped forward this time and threw a feint slash to the neck of the selkie, which the selkie tried to block after having blocked so many of his previous attacks, but was met with the blade curving to it's legs, slicing both of them off before curving around to slice it's head off! 

Right when he sliced the head off, his arm was blown off by a harpoonist! 

"AGHHHHH" Kubera screamed and the force from the harpoonist caused his body to fly forward, causing him to fall on the boat. As he laid there, he saw that only one harpoonist had returned to the trees, but it was cloaked in leaves with its speargun also covered in leaves. 

Kubera laid there, panting for breath, his aura practically nonexistent as he approached death, 'Is this.. Where I'll die?' He couldn't help but have this thought as he laid there. With no arms left, what else could he do besides run? And even then, where was there to run to? He was knee deep in selkie territory and would barely be able to run or swim. With all the blood he's losing right now as well, it's only a matter of time before he bleeds out, it really was the end.. But then something started glowing next to him which caught his eye.

VRMMMM!

The necklace he wore all this time began to vibrate and glow!  The harpoonist saw this and shot another spear at him, but it was deflected by a magical sphere that appeared out of nowhere!

(Truly unfortunate you are, boy.. Branded in this terrible world with everything against you.)

(Do you wish to become strong?)

(If so, all you have to do is say "Ouroboros") 

Kubera was stunned because not only was he hearing a girl's voice, he could see what was being said in front of him! As if someone was writing a book in front of him, but what caught his attention most was the words 'do you wish to become strong?' Hell yea he did! He didn't understand what was going on, maybe some ghosts or ancestors watching him were talking to him now, but when he saw the light blue light still radiating from his necklace, he knew it had something to do with the necklace from his parents.

Although he had no limbs, although he had lost a lot of blood, although he was forced down this river where criminals are sent by the people he fought and swore to, he still had a strong desire to live. He still hasn't seen all that life has to offer, he was even given a second chance at life by his parents when he was younger, he couldn't let that all be in vain! So through clenched bloody teeth and the throbbing pain his body, he forced out the word, "Ouro.. boros."

As all of this was happening, Kubera was slowly losing consciousness as his blood loss, "Hurry up.. You damn necklace.." 

A shaman and multiple other selkies had appeared outside the magical sphere, trying to find a way to break it, but nothing seemed to work. They all looked at each other, confused and cautious of this new power they've never come across before

Just then, a blinding light came from the necklace, and the magical sphere was gone! Kubera's body laid there, lifeless. The selkies didn't know what had happened, but the body was there so they knew at least that he was dead.
