3. Cultivation items.

In my hands were the necklaces I had obtained from the ancient city. They were rare gems that seemed to draw in soul energy, and with the inscription patterns the abstruse gemstones when worn helped a person draw in energy 5x faster automatically.

However searching through all the treasure I wasnt able to find another of the gems which was a bummer. I could think of a few items that I could make with these that would help immensely during cultivation if I had more.

With a shrug I just toss the amber amulet around my neck and store the other 3.

Focusing on the cultivation chant I feel warmth soak in through my pores, quickly nourishing my body, the head straight for my soul realm in the center of my chest.

Little motes of light quickly gater at a fast pace flooding the small soul sea.

1, 5, 20, 45, 70, 90, 100. Breakthrough into bronze rank in just minutes. It only requires 100 soul force and with a god tier chant it comes rather quickly.

Raising my hand a small blue flame appears. This is a soul flame, it has many uses, alchemy, attack, spirit control, healing. With the experience of the experts that u stole I can easily use them. It's only thumb size but its rising at a rapid rate with my cultivation.

Various herbs fly out of my spatial ring and are quickly cooked by the ever growing soul flame.

The herbs easily lose their impurities as they are cooked into medical liquid, various other herbs are tossed in and purified before forming numerous pills, elixirs or powders based on the recipe. Those are all stored into jade vials I had from the treasury. Most of the medicines they contained had gone bad and were disposed of.

I pop a pill into my mouth and it melts on my tongue. A strong minty taste and cool feeling spreads through my body as my pores open up dragging in more soul force.

The breakthrough in bronze rank came at a rapid pace.

150, 170, 200, Bronze rank 2, 220, 247, 285, 300, Bronze rank 3, 310, 353, 375, 400. Bronze rank 4, 445, 460, 495, 500, Bronze rank 5.

Over the next few hours it shoots up while I craft elixirs and medicines.

My soul realm trembled it became more tangible, and could hold and nourish objects now, the little scarab floating into the soul realm filled with lights and enjoying the warmth. It was like a small world with nothing inside but light. However that changed quickly.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

A blue drop fell from the sky, then another, and another. The more soul force absorbed the more liquid soul force dropped from the sky.

If anyone in the city learned that someone had sky rocketed from no cultivation to silver rank after just a few hours, they would call the person who told them a liar and ask what weed they are smoking.

Cultivation usually takes a long time. Mostly due to the absolute garbage tier medicines, trash rank cultivation chants, and bad environment.

The sun outside was starting to rise which meant I had cultivated all night.

Sadly to get up to another rank its 2000 soul force for silver rank 2 so a rise of 1000 soul rank per level up until Gold Rank at 10,000 soul force.

There is however a shortcut for that if I'm willing to take it which I am.

A set of purple rocks appear around me. These lovely items are called purple caltrop rocks or purple smoke rocks, commonly found around the Heavenly Fate Plateau.

They leak out a purple poisonous gas when in direct sunlight, now this gas can be extracted and absorbed to improve cultivation.

However it can only happen once. After that it's no longer useful. Now the key point is that 100 smoke rocks gives a boost of 10,000 soul force, once.

So I could use this to jump straight to gold rank or I could use it to gain exactly 1 rank in gold rank.

I'll take the realm jump over a single level honestly.

Now most of the time the cultivation using the rocks is highly painful due to the toxins in the smoke. That wont be a problem for me as a master level alchemist I can easily melt out the toxins.

As for how I got them? Wonder is busy collecting items for me as I cultivate, since it doesnt need sleep or rest ot can just go and gather materials.

i wave my hand and the smoke rocks are wrapped up in my soul flame. Smoke rapidly escapes from the purple stones only to be captured by my flames and cleansed of toxins. A minute later the stones are gray and no longer have any smoke and I have a small purple drop of liquid which I take on my tongue.

The breakthrough is pretty instant as my soul realm fills up before taking on a golden hue. Now the liquid in my soul real is about pond sized.

At silver rank I can integrate with a demon spirit, however those also need cultivation to grow in rank.

Instead of rain this time a smal golden speck is formed in the middle of my soul realm. Personally I'm curious as to what this will turn into however I have a vague idea.

If anyone in Glory city knew about the purple caltrop drop, they would lose their fucking mind, a gold rank demon spiritualist is all that is needed to make a family into an aristocratic family, a black gold could make a family into minor nobles and 3 black golds into major nobles.

You could jump from nothing to gold with these drops. There wasnt a single other medicine in the city capable of pulling that off.

However currently I only have limited numbers of the purple rocks but I have a plan to produce the liquid drops.
