If you’re looking for a villainess novel where the female lead reincarnates and lives swimmingly thanks to all of the past memories, all while making friends along the way, and being revered by the world as an angel descended from above, then I fear you’ve picked up the wrong novel. This novel is DARK and is not for the faint of heart. Lumielle is the unfortunate antihero of the novel. She was born in a world where she was a little girl thrust into the cold castle along with her younger brother and left abandoned with no one to care for them let alone care about them. Yet that was merely the beginning of the terrible life for Lumielle. As she navigates through the everyday struggles to survive from what to eat to how to sustain themselves financially, she encounters people who thrive on making their miserable lives even more unpleasant. While the novel contains the cheating fiancé who fell in love with the white lotus trope, the author does not make romance a strong role in the plot. This isn’t about love. This story is about survival. It’s about palace intrigue, magic, and blood. There will be blood. There will be hands covered in blood. Lumielle’s hands will be covered in blood. She’s not a Disney Princess, so be warned. This novel is a beautifully composed dark work of art. Each sentence is dripping in vivid depictions of the magnificent world Saemi’s created. The characters are unique and have an abundance of depth. If there is any negative criticism of this work it would be the lengthy wait time in between chapters. However, it takes wine a while for it to be fine. Thus it is better to patiently await for the master to work on their craft.
I'm just completely in love and obsessed with this novel!!! It's the only one in this app that I waste my money on and it's worth it. I wish I could have the ability to just binge everything, but unfortunately I can't so I'll have to read it slowly. I thank the author to bless us with this masterpiece. 😩
Hai Author. Hope you are doing good in your native place. And coming to the story, how can you leave your beloved readers with not even a chapter since about a month? I have been waiting so much for the story continuation but you have not released a chapter since 199. I love your Kingmakers Revenge so much that I purchased the chapters which happens very rarely. The story is so good, their siblings relationship, Mielle-Rias chemistry that so sensuous I have ever read. But some things I didn't like: since it's a rebirth she should have learnt her mistakes like not killing innocent people for cafe land she could have have got that land through another way. And that priest I hate him but she still joined hands with him but please Author make sure at least Mielle got rid of him and punish him for his sins. I hate how she allows him to touch her for his help it's like she doesn't care if he asked her to sleep with him for if he would offer his full support. I must have said so much but it's just that I like your story very much and Thank You for presenting it to us. Hope you re read my review and reply to me and get your inspiration to write the next chapters soon enough.
This story is marvelous! I was hooked on it for the beginning and finished it in couple of day! The plot is breathtaking and the characters development incredible! It’s refreshing to read a revenge story where the FL doesn’t go from a villainess to the nicest girl in town, doing the right thing at the right time. I love this story because they feel so.. human. I can’t wish to get to the bottom of the father’s cold shoulder and Cosette hatred.
Although I can't bring myself to exactly like or root for Lumielle, I have a finicky moral compass and she happened to get on its bad side. I don't feel as though my apathy towards her well-being detracts from the story since her character isn’t framed in a way that ignores that what she’s doing is wrong. The narrative treats what she’s doing as a bad thing without making you absolutely despise her outright which is a nice balance. Originally I was hoping she’d get some more redeeming qualities so I no longer have to, occasionally, push the desire to see her suffer horribly for her actions to the back of my mind but this situation is good too. Either way, I want Aristele to get what he wants, whatever that is, and be happy, so in the end I’m in a way rooting for her in a way. Can I also say that I adore Aristele? I haven’t seen a particular lot of him yet, from a character/personality perspective, but what I have seen makes me really like him. On another note, since the beginning of the novel I had wondered if Aristele had ever wanted any of this and what would happen if he knew what Lumielle was doing. Would he despise it? Would he make her stop but not resent her for it? Or would he make sure she got her rightful punishment and not forgive her? I’m a sucker for interpersonal conflict.
The reincarnation trope does nothing to the novel. In fact, you can do away with reincarnation and the story will make more sense because FL does not act mature and does not act as if she had lived a previous life. She silently takes disgusting abuse with no benefit only to fire the abusive maid at the end of the day after all the abuse. It brings to question then why she would take that abuse when there is no one else watching/listening and she has no plans ofher than to fire the maid at the end of the day. Seems to me that she is not smart enough even after reincarnation. She certainTly acts like a 12 year old even though she is supposedly mentally older because of said reincarnation. She passively takes everything and gets touched when she receives some kind of menial affection that she so craved from her father in her previous life eventhough she claims she will use him and not let him do whatever etc.... Grammar is fine, story not so.
