Jack

"Oh no, this is fine! I'm just going to leave my daughter in the middle of a forest!" Grace yelled imitating her fathers voice. Grace started walking on top of all the snow and such until she sees someone walking through the woods. She doesn't get a good look at the person, but sees him stop for a second and then start running. She wonders why until she sees.... Wolves. The human in question was 17, 5'8, tan skin, a ginger, with a few freckles on his face, and was carrying a small metal hatchet.

"Oh for fucks sake- leave me alone! I'm all skin and bones so I wouldn't taste good anyway!" He says running. Ladies and gentleman, Jack Piper at your service. He then climbs up the nearest tree and says "GO AWAY! Help! Someone! Help!". Grace stares at him and then comes down in her human form. The wolves turn to her and while the human has his eyes closed, she make her eyes glow a menacing white color. "LEAVE." She says as the wolves run off whimpering.

She knocks on the tree and he says "Who's there?!". "Orange.". He looks puzzled and stares down the tree. "Orange who?" He says confused as he climbs down. "Orange you glad I saved you?" Grace replies. He lets out a snicker and says "Oh god that was horrible!". She act offended and says "Oh how cold can you be?". He holds back his laughter and she says "At least someone likes me humor!".

He holds out his hand and says "I'm Jack!". She shakes it and says "I'm Grace! So while I have your attention, what are you doing all the way up here in the cold?". He rubs his neck and says "That's the thing. It shouldn't be! Here, watch-". He pulls out a map and says "We're here, in Nevada. Right now it should be blazing, but it's turned cold enough to snow! And Nevada barely ever gets that!".

He looks at her outfit and says "Come to think of it, how are you not cold?". She looks down at her outfit and says "I grew up in it. Right now I'm a bit lost so-". He looks at her and says "Follow me then! My temporary place of residence isn't far. Also.... The next available town won't be for another few miles on foot so....". She mentally starts cursing her father and says "Lead the way!".

"So Grace, what are you even doing here?". Grace looks at him and says "Not sure, my father sent me here so I have to assume its for a reason!". 'Maybe it has something to do with this odd weather?' She thought. The two both walk into a large wooden shack. "Sorry if it's not to your liking, but it's a home away from home!" He says sitting onto a couch.

Grace looked outside to see how dark it's gotten and said "We should get some sleep.". Jack stands up, and walks into a bedroom while Grace takes the couch. Little does our human friend know, there will be a lot revealed in the coming morning.

In the morning, Jack arises to what sounds like footsteps going across his roof. "The hell?" He says grabbing a broom. He walks outside and looks around to see nothing. "That's odd, I could of sworn I heard-". He then hears a growl from behind him. He turns around expecting to see a wolf.... And technically he's not wrong. He looks to see giant teeth and fangs bared to him.

He looks up to meet the eyes of the giant and from inside the house, Grace is just then waking up. She walks outside wearing nothing but a t shirt and short saying in a tired voice, "What's going on?". She rubs her eyes and looks forward to see her human friend getting pinned to the ground by a giant wolf. She then accidentally shifts to her normal look and throws a snowball at the canine.

"FROST!!!! WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" She says with ice coming from behind her. Jack just watches as she goes over and the wolf cowers in fear. "I appreciate the fact you were willing to come and look for me.... But for fucks sake!". "Uh.... Grace.". The two then turn to him and he says "You're uh....". She looks at herself and realizes the irony.

She can hear her fathers voice telling her "YOU HAD ONE JOB!". She goes over to him and uses her power to lift him. "I have SO, many questions." He says after she explains. "First, does this technically make you a god?". She laughs and says "Oh please, if anything it makes it worse! You see, I can still get hurt but it takes more effort to do so. And unless I'm in a cold area, it takes longer for me to heal. I also can't feel cold, hence the outfit!".

"Okay, so you also think your father sent you here to 'fix' all this weird weather, and yet you have no idea what to do, but regardless you're still gonna do it.... Fuck it, I'm in!". She smiles and says "You're probably going to regret that decision later but you do you.". She gets on Frost and says "Frost, be nice! Jack climb on.". Frost gets ready to run and Jack says "This is safe right?". Grace shrugs and says "Usually yeah, just gotta-".

Frost starts running and they hold on for dear life. While they are running jack looks up to see the sun start shining brighter. "Hey uh, Grace. Is that supposed to happen?". She looks up and says "No it is not!". Frost stops mid run and they all witness the area around them change. The snow all melts and the heat rapidly increases. The plants wilt from the sudden change and they then get off Frost.

"T-this heat.... Isn't this-". Grace finishes saying "Summer, yeah I know!". They look around and Jack says "So where do we go?". "Well.... We need to figure out the source of this weather, which means we'll have to go to the place in the middle of the two we've seen. The Kingdom of Fall.". Jack looks at her and says "I'm guessing you don't know how to get there?".

She shakes her head and says "No, I don't. But my father always taught me about these riddles to help find it. The one for fall goes like this:

Through colored leaves, and darkened trees. In an area too cold fore plants, but warm for some. That is where you will find the Kingdom of Autumn".

The two think about that for a second and Jack pulled out his map. "So in a place that isn't too cold, or too hot. So....". He then points to somewhere "This time of year, and in correspondence to the weather, I guess we're going to North America!". She sighs and says "Great, now we just got to get there without being suspicious....".
