Chapter Fifteen

They stopped to rest for the evening leah kept applying medicine on his wounds "am fine now"

"I know you should be" she smiled

I didn't say a word but was staring at her "Am sorry about beth" I sigh as I stare at her "what are you sorry for?"

"Everything" she said while clenching her fist

"It's alright, let's just think of a way out of this forest leah"

"Yes my lord"

She set the fire as they sat down away from each other "why did you choose to go to his chamber?"

"Who?"

"Edwin"

"Uh... uh...he ...I...he is the crown prince"

"Do you love him?"

She exclaimed as she stare at him in shock "never" he laughed after watching her expression, he went and sat beside her as they both stare into the fire "no more scarf?"

"Yea"

"You look better now"

"Ain't you worried about your fiance?" she asked curiously as she stare deep into the fire "why are you asking about her?"

"Am just curious"

"Ain't you curious about what might happen to you here, am a man and we are lost in a place we don't know ain't you scared I might just take your advantage" teased

"Am not afraid of you"

He didn't say anything he lay down and close his eyes "damn this mosquito" he cursed

"You should get use to it"

"Are you sure you didn't do this intentionally"

"Why on earth will I do that?" she said angrily he smiled knowing he has annoy her "am just kidding goodnight" he sigh before drifting into slumber

Leah was staring at the empty spot where she left the horse tyler was still asleep she wanted to wake him up; she was staring at his handsome face she couldn't resist the urge to touch his ebony-black brow she felt him stir as he wake up

"We lost the horse" she manage to say but he kept staring at her "is there something on my face?" She asked while wiping her face with her palms "you look pretty" he said

She blushed as she look away he smiled as he stood up "let's go" he said while looking away

They were walking for over an hour when they saw a stream leah was excited as she run towards the stream to get water to drink "you should drink my lord"

She turn around only to find him unbuttoning his shirt "wait!" she screamed while looking away

I was unbuttoning my shirt when I heard leah's sharp voice asking me to stop I scoffed as I pull off my shirt before jumping into the water she was looking away "don't tell me you are attracted to my body" I teased "am not" she said firmly

"Then stop messing around and wash up you look terrible and besides we still have a long way to go" I said while washing my hair without looking at her

She jumped into the water as she began to wash her face "isn't it wonderful?" I asked as i stare into those green eyes " it is" she replied simply

It was obvious she was uncomfortable with me being in the water so I decide to excuse her "five minutes" I said as I left , leah couldn't stop staring at his tempting body she wished she could see more of his body but then she snap herself into reality as she began to unbraid her hair it fill everywhere

It's been long since I left my hair unbraid and free; am free from slavery and no one is ever gonna change that I wished i could maintain my hair although it was still black i wish I could take care of it the way my mom used to before

The sudden thought of my family made me cry

I smiled bitterly as I sat down on the rock waiting for my clothes and hair to dry

I couldn't believe the sight before me, it was leah with her hair wrapped around her body she was looking like a mermaid I felt like holding her in my arms

She noticed my presence as she turn around my heartbeat began to increase as usual, I wonder why it always react that way towards her "you are back" she said while smiling at me with those hazel green eyes glittering and her rosy red lips smiling down at me I have never seen anyone this beautiful not even ariana I couldn't say anything I realized she was blushing perhaps because I kept staring at her, my gaze left her face and down to her body which was wrapped with her hair she coughed out in other to get my attention which she did "Ain't you going to sit down, I want my hair and cloth to get dry" she said awkwardly

"You are still having your clothes on" I split the word without realizing it, I couldn't control myself I try to make it less awkward "what I mean is that you ain't drying any cloth" I smiled at her as she advert her gaze from mine, I sat down beside her while stroking her hair "what are you doing?" she said "your hair is so beautiful and soft" I whispered in her ears I could feel her tense at the closeness as she try to move away but I grab her around her waist
