Chapter 13

Sweat was dripping down Kane's face. Blood could be seen on his morning stars spikes. His mask had a light gash forming from the top left to the bottom right of the mask. It proved that Kane was close to getting his fave cut. He was a bit annoyed at first but realized the cut added character to his mask. In front of him were 4 orcs kneeling on the ground. The biggest one had cuts and bruises all over his body and was heavily breathing.

"You showed your strength human. I swear my allegiance to you as my new chief" said Xugar. "We give lend are strenth to our new chief! May we rise to the top and become warriors worthy of the gods!" said the other Orcs. Kane was ecstatic with his new followers. He was also curious about the gods they mentioned. He made a mental note to learn about this world's gods and their religions. "Welcome aboard," said Kane "I promise that with me you will regain your honor, and together we will show the world what true strength means!" Kane said enthusiastically. He smiled at his gains and at a system notification that he had just received.

"This day just keeps getting better," said Kane to himself. The fight with Xugar was tough but luckily his morning start skill had evolved from basic to advanced. It had helped greatly against this opponent. He did not understand how Xugar had been banished with his strength but wasn't going to ask until his relationship improved with his new Orcs. The system had told him that the Orcs were all C-rank which was pretty strong in general. Kane decided to buy them better gear as well as use the upgrade kit on Xugar so he could become a B-rank.

"Xugar you and your brothers are very strong and I am excited to have you join me." Kane talked to the Orcs while he walked them to the hidden Roman camp. When entering, both sides were surprised to see each other, but things settled down after some explanations and introductions.

Kane used the rank upgrade kit on Xugar making him a B-rank and much stronger. You could see the changes as his muscles grew more and his height was even taller. Another cool feature was his tusks grew. Xugar looked shocked while the other Orc's jaws dropped to the ground. None of them knew what to do.

"Whats in the gods is happening!?" yelled Xugar who could feel his strength growing inside him. "Let's just say that you are now stronger and from now on I will be calling you Xugar the Tower. No one will stand in your way and you can tower above your enemies. You will no longer be discarded to the bottom but now at the top looking down on others." Kane said. He loved to fight but acting like a king was very fun in its own right. He was excited when he officially became one. Xugar eyes turned soft. Then he let out a loud roar shocking everyone in the cave. "Haha! This is amazing! Thank the gods! No! Thank the chief!" he turned to Kane and got on one knee. "You have not only made me stronger but you have also given me a new title. I promise that I shall fight for you until my last breath! While I am alive nothing will be able to reach you. I will make sure that my blood is spilled before you" Xugar said as he felt more and more loyalty towards his new chief. The other Orcs were also moved and went down on one knee. "haha you may rise Xugar. I appreciate it and I am excited about what we can do together. Know that you should still keep your life in high regard and don't forget about yourself and your brothers. I can take care of myself and if you do help me I want you to be able to help me without putting yourself in danger." Kane said.

Kane was happy with the Orc's loyalty but wanted to make sure they did not get themselves killed. "Yes, chief," said Xugar but deep down promised to protect Kane to the best of his ability. After all, Kane gave him a new chance at life. Now he could regain his honor and have a cause worth fighting for. Then in the end the gods would accept him into his new life. He was happier than he had ever been before. The camp he saw may have been small but he knew this chief wasn't normal and expected a great future ahead.

The next day Kane entered the hidden camp behind the waterfall which he had decided to name Iron Falls Hold. He was happy after yesterday's events and about the system message he received after Xugar swore his loyalty.

Kane had already decided to make some weapons for the orcs plus some clothes made out of stronger beast fur than what they currently wore. But he decided to reward Xugar with a weapon from the store. He decided to splurge on a C-rank for his new "Tower." The tower name was inspired by the LOTR Shadow of Mordor series and Kane decided to create his own tower and have Xugar become the first general in his Ork armies. Hopefully, he could one day create that army. Kane decided to buy 2 C-rank Curved Blade Battle Axes for the Orc because with Xugars strength he knew that he could hold both. He also customized it with gold engraving while making the axes black. He hoped to one day get the armor that the Tower wore in Shadow of Mordor. Brammorli had already made 2 Naginatas for 2 of the other Orcs while making 2 Ayudha Kattis for the last Orc.

After Kane gave bought the weapons and handed them out to Xugar and Brammorli gave his weapons Kane sat down to check the system. His current shop points were at 800 before buying the gear for Xugar. Now they were at 500. Luckily he managed to get the 2 axes for Xugar for the price of 1. He decided to look at the shop to see if anything caught his eye. That's when something caught his eye. It made him pretty excited and immediately bought it before getting up and heading back to the bandit camp. He was excited by his new purchase but it was getting dark. Tomorrow morning will be fun.
