Dealing with an assassin
After quickly looking around the clearing the pavilion is situated on he made his way towards the structure. Entering the building he saw an assortment of food being laid out by Ten and sat down on the floor with Ei Sei who was calmly drinking tea and eating as well as Shin who was practically inhaling the food as if there was no tomorrow.
" This stuff is great " said Shin enthusiastically with a mouth full of food.
"Clearly" I countered with a tone that dripped with sarcasm looking at his display of table manners or rather the lack of.
"There is no need to eat so fast there is plenty to go around without having an eating contest" reprimanded Ten also seemingly dissatisfied with the way Shin was eating.
"You have nothing to say your majesty" I said as I looked towards Ei Sei while raising my eyebrow as an indication of my belief that he should say something.
"I have no comment" responded Ei Sei while looking away
"Nevermind" I muttered and went back to eating as tomorrow would be a long day.
After everybody had finished eating and cleaned up we went to our separate rooms. As I laid down after setting down my sword I replayed everything that had happened during the day in my mind in order to help calm myself for tomorrow as even though the next assassin wasn't as powerful as him he was a certified killer and wouldn't hesitate to kill any of them. "No matter who comes I will just defeat them as well" I said with conviction before finally falling prey to sleep.
As the sun rose in the sky it signaled the start of another day for the millions of inhabitants who called the seven warring states their home but it also cast its light on the figure of a young man performing what seemed to almost be a dance with his sword reflecting the sunlight giving onlookers the impression that his sword was controlling the sun and bending the sun to it's very will.
Unknown to yoriichi who was switching between the different forms Sun Breathing as practice he had three very shocked onlookers who were marveling at the intricacy and beauty of the Sun Breathing sword forms.

That should about wrap up training for the moment it seems like I still can't use the thirteenth form of Sun Breathing but I shouldn't be complaining this only my third day in this world plus nobody in this world has thirteen vital organs that I need to stab at once. I stopped swinging my sword and looked towards the pavilion only to find that all three of my teammates were sitting in a daze. Oops looks like I forgot to pay attention to time, not like it matters anyway they would have seen it at some point. Deciding that it wasn't really that important he made his way towards them causing them to break out of their daze. At this point Shin and Ten practically had stars in their eyes and Ei Sei looked like he was contemplating something.
"That was so cool can you teach me" said Shin practically begging Yoriichi to teach him
"No that is the secret technique of my clan" denied Yoriichi but seeing the almost visible cloud of disappointment above Shin's head he followed up with " but I won't stop you from watching if you want to get inspiration for your own sword style".
"Hell Yeah" said shin much more enthusiastically this time at the prospect of getting closer to his dream.
"But right now, it is time for breakfast" Yoriichi interrupted Shin before he could get going on about how he would be the greatest general under the heavens.
After eating breakfast everybody went off to do their own thing and I just watched over them while keeping a watch for the assassin that I knew appear sometime in the next couple of hours. While I am keeping a lookout for the assassin I am not super worried about him because I know that my raw stats are significantly higher than his, this body is really a cheat for life. I mean the average life expectancy is 35 during this time period and if a sword isn't driven through my heart then I am basically going to live until I am ninety. The only thing to really pay attention to is his poison darts as those could hurt me even if they don't kill me.
After keeping lookout for awhile and seeing that nothing is happening I decide to try practicing the transparent world by watching Shin fight. In Demon Slayer Yoriichi was born with the ability and I have already used some aspects of it but I still need to practice in order to gain mastery because at the end of the day I am not the original Yoriichi who was perfect at everything he did.
After ten minutes of expanding my senses I begin to detect movement in the foliage through my ears as well as eyes. Taking my sword I begin to move towards Shin in order to wait for the assassin as attempting to attack anywhere where I don't have a clear line of sight would put me at a disadvantage when fighting someone who grew up in jungle such as Muta the assassin did.
'I'm goin to bait him' I decided by turning my back to him facing Shin while keeping my ears focused where I believe him to be hiding.
After a few moments of tense waiting I suddenly hear a loud noise prompting me to quickly spin around while drawing my katana in block position just in time for two crude but powerful axes to come down right where my head was moments before. 'maybe not my best idea' I remarked to myself noticing just how close the axes were to caving my head in. While me and Muta are grappling with each other Shin quickly assesses the situation and runs towards Muta preparing a horizontal slash only to be stopped by an axe right before he made contact. Even though Shin failed to connect he caused the assassin to divert an axe away allowing Yoriichi with his superior physical strength to knock away the remaining axe and prepare a downwards thrust. Muta noticing his situation looked bad quickly backed away to use ranged tactics only to be slashed by Yoriichi who swung his sword faster than Muta could register causing the assassins' blood to spill over the grass. Despite being badly wounded Muta was still able to back away relying on his almost animal like movements something Yoriichi had never seen before causing him to back off on offense.
As they reassessed each other Muta began shouting" Muta is a menace" "Muta is a menace" before charging back into the fray knocking Shin away in the process. Deciding that he was too dangerous for me to further experiment on with combat techniques I decide to use Sun Breathing in order to quickly end the battle. Taking a step back I murmur "Sun Breathing Second Form Clear Blue Sky" before rapidly closing the distance jumping off the ground and quickly rotating while making a downwards horizontal wheel like motion that gave off an appearance of a falling sun. With my jump getting me above him I quickly excecute the move slashing him in the back while barely leaving him alive. After slashing him I land on the ground once more and sheathe my sword without looking at the assassin who was now falling to the ground blood spurting out from multiple locations on his body.
" It would seem that you are a popular man your majesty " I make a joke in order to liven the dark atmosphere brought about by the assassins' killing intent that oddly enough didn't seem to affect me. No that I think about I didn't even feel a thing when I attacked him. Did I realize how dark this world is that fast or did something else happen to me that I am not aware of and if it did to what extent I pondered.
" It would seem so " responded the king who was unaware of the turmoil inside of Yoriichi's mind.
" There are more people approaching " shouted Shin looking at the trees the assassin previously emerged from where you could know see the outline of a few scores of people wearing armor
The tension quickly rose back to the peak as we waited to see whether they were an opponent or a friend.
