King of The Dead

I used to think that death was in the end. I was wrong. Death is not the end, just another beginning. Reborn in a strange and familiar world, Adrian Klein should have been dead, his body rotting, but he has found himself in a completely new existence. Now as a god instead of a human, he must find his new place in the world. ~~~ I do not own the image. If you are the one who owns it, please tell me and I will take it down. This story is a fuse fic of the god of war saga plus overall Greek mythology with the world of DC, particularly its more mythological and divine parts. I own neither of them. The only thing I own is my OCs.

Apprentice & Master (II)

"Well, you are certainly among my fastest students," Hecate said, watching Hades casually summon all four basic elements.

"Who was the fastest?" Hades asked, quite curious about who was it, after all, it only took him a few minutes to successfully summon all the basic elements, so the being - or beings - Hecate was talking about done it in seconds or even less than that.

"A... creation of mine, well, sort of, they technically always existed. I had just had to give a little to push for them to attain actual intelligence and not just their instincts"

Hades nodded at her explanation, mentally filling that tidbit of information for later.

"Well, now that you have mastered the basics, it is time to tell you about the cosmical order of creation. " Hecate's words made Hades pay more attention than he did all of his life, both present and past.

"First the one that is one the top is the Presence, the first being to ever exist, and the supreme creator of everything, as he is the ruler of The Heaven, this naturally makes them the strongest faction in all of creation"

Hades felt a weird sense of Déjà vu as he heard the word 'Presence' and 'Creator', like something that he had forgotten that was currently extremely important.

''The next is Lucifer, or his current name, The Devil. Tartarus looks like a paradise compared to Hell, which is an extra-dimensional realm that he rules over. He used to be one of the Presence's favourite creations until he rebelled, though I don't know why he did it. He also took many other angels with him, but after his rebellion, he rarely, if ever, interferes with anything mostly keeping to himself"

'Okay, that's it, there is something I am definitely missing, but what' Hades thought still paying attention to Hecate's explanation, it was just in the tip of his tongue.

"Michael, his brother, is his equal in power, and may or may not have been the one that cast him out. It happened so long ago and was a war of such proportions that I can not see it fully. But well after them comes the Endless, conceptual incarnations of certain universal aspects: Death, Destiny, Despair, Dream, Destruction, Desire, and Mania"

"Now that I have explained all the beings you should avoid making angry, I shall tell about another aspect creation.," She lifted her hand, which held a dazzling light that would have blinded any mortal that saw it, the light exploded and from it Hades saw enormous bubbles that held galaxies- No, they were universes, fifty-two in fact.

"Behold the Multiverse"

But that wasn't what he blankly stared at, no what he was currently was an infinite wall that had many faces from a dozen different beings.

Hecate looked at what he was staring at and spoke with an odd tone that Hades almost thought it sounded like she was at the very least afraid. "Ah, yes, the source wall and its Promethean guard, Hades I warn you to never touch it, for if you do you will become part of the Source for all of eternity, just like beings you are seeing"

But Hades wasn't paying attention to that, no, his mind was on the matter that he was reincarnated in the clusterfuck that is DC Comics, where the fate of the entire multiverse rests on the shoulders on spandex clad heroes, and that was not even the fact that the apocalypse happens every single day.

This new revelation changed pretty much all of his plans, while it also explained a few things, like how the First and Second Generation of gods disappeared. It must have been a 'Crisis' Event that wiped them from the face of the Multiverse. Thought he doesn't know which one.

Beings that could destroy the multiverse were like insects these days. They were everywhere, each more bullshit than the last one, because the writers are dumb or have finally run out of ideas. With, only a few actually knowing what they are doing if he wanted to be fair.

"I shall explain to you the source later-"

"What is this? " Hades interrupted, pointing at the dark sphere that sat right below the multiverse that he was currently inhabiting. Of course, he already knew what it was, but he had to at least act like he didn't.

Hecate blinked before explaining. "That is the Dark Multiverse, a reflection of our own multiverse, and different from our own, where destiny can either lead to either order or chaos. The Dark Multiverse is a realm where only chaos reigns. It is fortunate that a barrier exists between our two Multiverses, which makes so that both realities can't interact with each other"

'I am not so sure about the last part' Hades thought, thinking about all the events that, of course, happened on Earth - really what is so special about this planet!?

Hecate continued to explain the cosmical forces that composed the multiverse, such as the Parliaments that were living amalgamations of concepts related to plant and animal life (among others), the Lords of Chaos and Order, the God Realms of Apokolips and New Genesis, The Speed Force, The Emotional Spectrum, among many others.

Some he knew others he didn't, after all there was only so much one could remember when they were human, in his new life as a god Hades could perfectly recall every memory, but with his past life it was becoming murkier, with the passaging of time he would soon forget. Maybe he should put his knowledge somewhere that could last time? Like a book or something similar.

"Now that, that is over, let us continue with your studies. " Hecate opened her palm and from it came a seemingly unassuming ring, but Hades could see that it was enchanted. "This is a piece of jewelry that I enchanted some centuries ago, and that is what I am going to teach you now, how to enchant objects"

Hades nodded, his mind still on how to best survive the coming calamities that would befall the planet he was in, but as of now he focused on his magical training, after all it could prove to be rather useful in the future.

This was hard to write, mainly because I was stuck with a headache that simply refused to go away and is only now getting better, so yeah, not having the best time.
