King of The Dead

I used to think that death was in the end. I was wrong. Death is not the end, just another beginning. Reborn in a strange and familiar world, Adrian Klein should have been dead, his body rotting, but he has found himself in a completely new existence. Now as a god instead of a human, he must find his new place in the world. ~~~ I do not own the image. If you are the one who owns it, please tell me and I will take it down. This story is a fuse fic of the god of war saga plus overall Greek mythology with the world of DC, particularly its more mythological and divine parts. I own neither of them. The only thing I own is my OCs.

Aftermath

There was a great feast at mount Olympus, to celebrate the defeat of the Titans, more ambrosia and nectar were thrown around than the entire war combined were moments of quietness were few and didn't last long and could very well be that an enemy was prowling them. But there were no concerns this time only the feeling of triumph.

Upon the high table, the six leaders sat surrounded by their most trusted servants and confidantes, as well as legions of minor gods and some of the Titans that decided to join the Olympians, through their number dwindled when they reached the sixth seat, for it the seat of Hades and only the Furies and the most courageous elements of his forces dared to approach him.

He was brooding his helmet still on his face and chained weapons wrapped around his seat, that looked like a throne, with the hooks sitting on the armrests. He was pondering on the nature of the place he was own. God of War had been one of his favourites games back when he was human, and he enjoyed seeing Kratos journey.

Of course now that he lived as one of the gods that Kratos would slaughter that was not fun anymore. Hades knew that he could kill Kratos, it was just that had the chance to horribly backfire that stopped those thoughts, as well as because he always found his story incredible, why he would to end the history of the man that destroyed everything he knew for the sake of vengeance.

Besides this means that won't be just greek myths that he will watch play out, in his mind at least Kratos was more interesting than those thousands of demigods that his siblings would father.

'Yes, I can't wait to meet you Ghost of Sparta' Hades though 'I wonder if the power of hope will be enough, it was enough to kill Ares and Zeus, but the game itself never truly explained how the power worked, it is similar to the Doom Slayer? Is Kratos as powerful as he needs to be or something else?'

As Hades continued to ponder the matters of the future, Zeus arose from his seat, which was at the center of the six seats of the Elder Olympians, a clear show of dominance that was very transparent, all manner of conversation stopped and the gaze of the room was focused on Zeus.

"My friends and family, we have triumphed against all odds, we have casted down the tyrant Cronos!" A great cheer arose from the throats from nearly all the ones that were present Zeus raised his hand in a gesture of silence which was followed "He and his servants are now sealed away in Tartarus, never to return, the age of the Titans- No the age of Cronos is over! This is now OUR AGE!" Cheers arose once more as Zeus sat in his seat.

"That was a good speech" Hades whispered, as he paid attention to the speech of Zeus that sound surprisingly good and insightful, Metis probably had a hand in it. "I am sure you can make better speech my lord" Tisiphone whispered, low enough so that only her sisters and Hades would hear, Hades simply shrugged at her response, he didn't care that much really the chaotic rabble would probably cause a bit of chaos.

After all he could see that the majority of the Minor Gods glares towards the present Titans, even his mother Rhea was subjected to those stares and whispers through only he noticed them. He knew that this would happen, Zeus had fed the hatred they had over the Titans abuse of authority, and that hate was still there just without something to vent it, as the Titans present were under the direct protection of the Olympians, and they didn't want to fight against them, Hades especially.

It was interesting seeing their fearful gazes whatever he looked at them, to be fair he didn't feel uncomfortable, seeing that some minor gods and even furies managed to calmly converse with and be in his presence without turning pale, he simply found that all of them lacked spine. Really they can face a rampaging Titan but become desperate in his presence?

The Furies themselves seemed to be special case, they seemed to have specially liked his 'show of dominance' as they putted it, and were starting to get particularly ravenous in his presence.

But he was finding the feast to be increasingly boring, nothing dramatic was happening, if this was a book it would the part he would skip to reach the good parts. Unfortunely he couldn't control time yet through he was getting pretty close to the basics of it, and he wouldn't use it like that anyways, if Flashpoint taught him anything is that messing with time will lead to many headchaces.

It is a really good thing that he will never meet Barry 'Fucking with Timelines is my speciality' Allen. He didn't need that particular headchace.

In the end the feast ended after nine years of partying that left the room with the severe need to be cleaned, which Zeus did with a wave of his hand, a perk of being a god is that you didn't need to worry that much with trash, you could think and it would disappear.

"Brothers I have something to talk with you two about" Zeus said to both Hades and Poseidon, who looked into his direction, "What is it brother?" Poseidon asked not bothering with a formal tone. "It is the world brother, the world, or more particularly the realms: The Heavens, The Seas, and the Underworld, we have to decide who will rule who"

"I shall the rule the heavens of course" Poseidon said with a massive grin on his face.

"Now brother it doesn't work like that" Zeus said while desperately trying to keep his neutral expression.

"Why not?"

Zeus and Poseidon were both ready to strike blows, and just as Hestia alongside Rhea and Metis were about to intervene, but Hades was faster than both of them.

"How about a contest" Hades words stopped the tension between the two Olympians, "Explain" Zeus said/ordered, and Hades did just that as he closed his left hand and summoned three straws in a blaze of fire, they were hidden in his closed fist, their leght unknown to the Olympians.

"Three straws, the one that draws the longest shall rule the heavens, the one that draws the medium one shall rule the seas, and the one that draw the shortest shall rule the Underworld," Hades looked at the suspicious gazes on both Poseidon and Zeus eyes, before rolling his own "Alright then I swear on the River Styx that I did not tamper with this contest and that each participant has an equal chance of drawing each straw" The sound of Thunder was heard across the room and seeing that Hades had not been vaporized, both gods withdrew their suspicious gazes.

As it turns out the River Styx was already a big thing, even the Titans had made use of the power of the river, that could destroy even the Elder Titans, the only ones that the Styx possibly did not have an effect on were the Primordials.

"Now then shall we" Hades said, as he gripped one of the straws followed by both Zeus and Poseidon.

Then the three gods pulled and Zeus showed a massive grin as he held the longest straw. Zeus would now rule the Heavens. Poseidon scoffed as he held the medium straw. Poseidon would now rule the Seas. Hades did not give any reaction as he calmly held the shortest straw. He would now rule the Underworld.

"Now that, that has been finally done, I will see what I am going to rule, be right back" Hades said before being consumed by his own shadow, leaving towards the underworld.

"I will be going as well" A somewhat angry Poseidon said as he created a gate formed of water and stepped on it, leaving towards the oceans, while he wasn't sad he wasn't happy either.

Of the three brothers only a grinning Zeus was left. "Metis want to come with me?" Zeus said, as he extended his arm towards the Oceanaid, Metis smiled at him, and took his arm, the two vanished in shower of lighting. Heading towards the location of one of the gates towards the Skyland.

"Well it just us now" Hera said to both her sisters and mother.

"Indeed, my daughter," Rhea said to her daughter, before having a sudden thought "So my daughters what do you like to do"

"Well, I really like this thing that some minor goddess introduced to me, I think the name was cereal?" Demeter said.
