Chapter 20 ‘Bruised’

What did she say?! 'Jayden has finally found his bride'?

I looked at Jayden, Jayden looked happy at his mother.

"No!" I suddenly hear out of nowhere.

"This was not the deal Felice, Erick!" My father called.

"I know, Vincent, but you can see Jayden's behavior when Aurora is around him, he just wants to protect her! He even stood up to Erick for her! The king! He cares for her and we accept it."Felice says gracefully.

"Felicia, Aurora is in danger when it gets out and the supernatural world they come to get her!" He tries to make it clear, but she does not get it.

"Vincent, she's well protected here." Felice says calmly and formally.

Jayden walks up to me.

"So... you knew this was going to happen?" I asked Jayden. His lips curled into a playful smile.

"No. " And he came next to me.

"I do not want this! This is not possible! Aurora come on!" My father said recklessly.

"What do you want, Aurora?" Felice asks.

All eyes were on me, but I looked into Jayden's eyes. He looks at me hopefully, but before I could answer my father drags me towards the exit. He threw the door open and slams again with unnatural speed. I was put in the car and before I know it we drive away.

Away from the castle.

Away from Jayden.

I look out the window to see Jayden standing despondently at the doors of the castle.

"Dad let me out!" But I didn't get an answer, his eyes are red.

"Dad! I want to go to Jayden!" But again I can't get through him. I look outside again at Jayden, he is still standing in front of the doors of the castle, slowly I see Jayden shrink and disappear.

"Dad please turn around." I begged, but again no answer.

The speed is getting faster and faster. I look at the speed dial and it says that we are going almost 100 kilometers per hour while driving on a road that the maximum speed 50 kilometers per hour is.

Shit!

"Dad, take it easy." The speed only increased.

"Dad!" I shout anxiously, hoping for an answer. We drive straight towards a tree, the tree is better visible by the second. He sees it right? That he will soon have to turn left, right? The tree is getting closer and closer.

"Dad?!" I shout anxiously.

The tree is almost there

"DAD?!" And I hit him hopefully out of his world where he is in now.

An answer comes from him and he turns the wheel and the car flips over and everything and everything goes black.

I woke up with severe pain all over my body and I slowly opened my eyes to get used to the light. Everything was blurry before my eyes. I blink a few more times and the vision becomes clearer. I am laying in my bed. I tried to sit down, but everything hurt so bad an ache left my mouth.

What happened?

Why does everything hurt so much?

The door opened and my father came in and all memories came to me.

Jayden's parents wanted me to become his bride.

Dad didn't allow that.

I'm being dragged out of the castle, away from Jayden.

Dad drives away at an abnormal speed.

We get closer and closer to a tree.

I couldn't get in touch with Dad.

Dad turned away the wheel from the tree.

The car rolls over.

And I couldn't remember anything anymore

He was the last person I wanted to see right now and I turned around with a lot of pain.

"Aurora.." And my father sat down next to me.

"I am so sorry.. so terribly sorry " Yes and you should! I thought.

I'm not going to respond! I let him feel the way I felt.

"Aurora please answer me. Please." He said wrecked.

"Aurora.." He says sobbing

I tried to get up, everything hurts so badly like people are cutting me from the inside out. My father tried to stop me, but I made a threatening gesture to let him. I got up with a lot of effort. I was wearing short pajama bottoms and I looked at my legs in horror and fell on the bed. My legs are full of bruises and wounds.

I get up again.

I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. There are all sorts of wounds on my face and my arms are also completely blue and full of wounds. I lift my shirt and stare at it in terror.

"A few of your ribs are bruised." He says gently.

"Aurora.." He tries to get an answer again.

"Annoying, huh? To be ignored." I say while still looking into the mirror at my bruised ribs.

"I'm sorry.." He says sad and soft.

"For what, to be precise? For ripping me away from Jayden or putting me in a car accident?"

"For everything" He said with a lot of regret.

I put my shirt back down and walked out of the bathroom. He followed me I sat down on my bed frustrated.

"How long have I been unconscious?" I ask while looking at where I was laying, blood stains cover the mattress.

"Two days.." He said carefully.

My eyes widen.

"Two days?!" I said, shocked.

"Yes the worst wounds have become less.. it looked worse."

"Wow dad gee thanks that makes it a lot better." I said sarcastically.

I thought about Jayden how it is going with him, if he knows what happened.

POV of a stranger

I walked through the doors of the house towards the throne room to the boss of the black souls, he sat on his black throne.

I bow to him.

"My dark lord." I say neatly.

"What are you doing here?" He says irritated.

"I found her." I said with a grin.

"Aurora?" His voice was less irritated.

"Yes!"

"Where is she then!" He asks burning for the answer.

"She was with the king and queen in the palace of the vampires. They said they wanted Aurora betrothed with Jayden and as the queen her successor, but her father would not allow that and took her with him.

"Do you still know where she is?"

"I followed the car unseen, they had an accident. Aurora is alive, but she is injured." A smile appeared in his devilish face.

"Beautiful, beautiful. Do you know where she is now?"

"Yes, I know exactly where she is." The grin on his face widened.
