Helping her

Candy's POV

Three weeks have passed since the incident in Brian's office. I did not tell anyone even Bella what happened. I had to wear long sleeved shirts and hoodies until the marks Brian gave me on my arms and shoulders cleared off. I have decided to forget it all and face my education.

With the help of Bella and Christy, I joined the cheerleaders group in my school and the dance club. Life was just going back to normal for me when Morgan came again with her troubles. She's always mocking me and belittling me but I just ignore her.

Today I just finished my cheerleading tryouts and was about to take my bath. In order not to miss the Latin class, I rushed in and immediately turned on the shower. I cried and rushed out immediately the water touched my skin. The water was so hot and I could not take it.

I rushed out of the girls room without thinking and ran into the hallway. The only thing I had on was my panties and towel. I pleaded with the students to help me but they just stood there laughing and taking videos of her. The few that tried to help me were stopped by Morgan and warned to stay clear. She was laughing and enjoyed watching me in pain.

I was at the verge of collapsing due to pain when someone immediately rushed towards me and covered me with his jacket before carrying me in his hands. I slowly lifted my eyes to look at him but everywhere just went blank.

I woke up feeling severe headache and pains on my shoulder and ankles (places where the hot water poured me). I looked around and saw Bella and Christy beside me "How do you feel girl? Where does it hurt?" Bella asked looking concerned.

Instead of answering her questions, I asked "Who helped me? Someone carried me away before I fainted, Who was that?". Bella exchanged looks with Christy then Christy said "Uhmmm, It was Brian, he was the one that helped you". "How and Why?" I asked confused.

Bella looked at me and said "When I saw that Morgan was not allowing anybody to get close to you and I knew what she was capable of doing if anyone disobeyed her, I had to go call Brian. I had in mind that he might refuse to come because of what you did but I had to try. I got there and told him that you were in trouble, he stood up and asked me to show him the place".

"He rushed over immediately and helped you. But..." She paused and I had to ask "But what?". "He asked us not to say a word to you" She said slowly. I turned my back to them, winced in pain and went straight to sleep.

Brian's POV

After helping her, I warned her friends not to say a word and left. She looked so beautiful when I held her, I wished at that moment that we weren't at loggerheads then I would have the chance to see her face every second of the day.

I went straight to my office and was about to check the files on my table when Morgan came in.

PS: I combine my CEO duties with my schooling.

She looked angry but I was unperturbed. I yawned and asked her "What are you doing here". "Why did you help her?" she yelled at me "I was trying to help you take revenge on her, that was why I changed the temperature of the shower". "You did what" I asked her shocked.

She looked at me surprised at how she unknowingly spilled the beans. She turned around and rushed out of my office. I stood there transfixed and shocked "How could she?".
