Am I really your friend?

Candy's POV

I got back to my room and then the nurse gave me my medicine and left me alone. I pondered over what had happened in Brian's room. "Morgan is such a sassy girl, she's always ready to start up trouble with me. I should really stay away from that nut job". I said to myself self and heaved a sigh.

I remembered Brian and the way he acted and I felt grateful he have mended things but t then it hit me "What if he's just pretending or what if this is a trap set by those two to humiliate me?" I said inwardly racking my brain.

After thinking for a few minutes I gave up and decided that the best way was to stay away from the both of them in order to avoid trouble. I felt sleepy and laid down to sleep.

Writer's POV

Four days later, Brian and Candy were released from the hospital and after a week they were allowed to go back to school though Brian resumed his duties as the CEO of the school in order to catch the person who locked them in the cold room.

Morgan tried to get on his good side again but he didn't give her the attention she was seeking for and it made her more furious. Meanwhile Candy resumed and avoided him totally and he kinda noticed it.

Brian's POV

I watched her help Mrs Williams take the trash bag to the back of the school and I followed her immediately. When I got there I saw her trying to lift the bag into the can and she was struggling so I walked to her and said softly "Let me help you with that ".

She looked startled to see me but murmured a thank you before rushing off but I held her wrist and pulled her back. I looked at her intently and said with a slight change in my mood and tone "What's the matter Candy, it seems you're avoiding me huh?".

She looked frightened so I let down my guard and said in a softer voice "I mean I have apologized to you but it seems like you're still holding a grudge against me?" She hesitated and then said "It's not because of that, I just wanna be on my own. I don't need your friendship cause I'm not even sure if I'm a friend to you or maybe you and your psycho girlfriend has something in store for me" She said breathlessly.

I was shocked and replied her "Where's this coming from? I really want to be your friend and I am not playing you girl" I was about to say something else but then I came to me and I asked her in a cold tone"Did Morgan put you up to this?" She replied immediately "I should be asking you that".

We stared at each other for a few minutes before she tried to walk away and I pulled her back again, placed her back to the wall and trapped her there with both my hands touching the wall.

I was about to say something to her but I got lost in her deep blue eyes. She looked nervous and bit her lips not knowing what she was doing to me. I couldn't take it anymore and I slowly tucked strands of hair behind her head and was about to kiss her when Morgan screamed like a crazy person behind us startling Candy but definitely not me. I have heard worse things but I was pissed off that she had to arrive at this time.

I wondered how she knew we were here. I pulled away and looked at her with fire in my eyes. She growled at Candy and rushed towards her but I stopped her midway and pulled her away saying to her "Come with me you imp!". With that I held her wrist tightly and took her away leaving Candy there as stunned as she was.
