The Beginning
[Luna Raven Tempest]
Family. Hindi ko alam kung kailan ako binalot ng galit nang dahil sa pagkawala ng pamilya ko. Things sure changed when you became an independent person.
It's been 2 years since my family were killed by a murderer. My father also left a note. It says that he wanted me to live and to avenge them in case they were killed unexpectedly.
Mukhang alam na ni papa na mamatay sila ng wala sa oras. They don't want me to worry so they kept their secrets by themselves. I'm just a kid back then. A 13-years-old kiddo.
Justice seems unfair. Dahil kasinungalingan lahat ang nasa diyaryo tungkol sa pagkamatay ng Tempest clan. They said it's because of a fire that wipes my entire family.
Even me, a young heiress and next to the President's throne was killed also. It's so stupid to kill my parents just because of positions in the government.
Ako nalang dapat ang pinatay nila. But no, they killed all of the possible person na pwedeng umakyat sa posisyon.
My family doesn't even care about politics yet they wanted to kill them. Wala rin naman akong paki sa posisyon pero nagawa parin nilang patayin ang mga magulang ko nang dahil sa karangyaang maibibigay sa kanila ng posisyon.
Justice is just a bullshit created by the lawyers and fucking lier government. That year is still fresh on my mind. The scars it gave to me will never be healed as long as they're living.
"Luna, yung kutsara." Napabitaw ako dito ng mabali ang kutsara sa sobrang pagkakahawak ko. "Your spoon are not tough enough then." Sambit ko kay Myst na ngayon ay nagpupunas ng bibig.
Natawa siya ng bahagya bago tumalumbabang tumingin sakin. "You're too handsome for a woman." Ako naman ang natawa. "Don't fall for my handsome looks then, Myst."
Who would have thought that I'll became his brother in no time? Siguro wala na akong choice kaya pumayag ako sa kasunduan.
I'll be his brother in exchange for helping me to achieve my goals. Wala naman akong reklamo dahil una sa lahat, makikilala ako ng gobyerno kung patuloy akong magiging babae. But the thing is, he's a devil and I'm just a mere human.
"That's incest Lady Luna but I like your idea." Natatawa niya namang sambit sakin. It's not that hard to pretend as his siblings dahil 2 years na ang nagdaan at nasanay na akong kumilos nang panglalaki.
I even know how to flirt with other girls. Don't blame me. Nahawa lang ako sa taong nagngangalang Myst Aiver Contalejo the infamous playboy in the city.
Kasabay naman nito ang pagtapos namin ng pagkain at pagdating ng kaibigan niyang si Apollo. Unlike Myst, Apollo is a cold person if you'd ask me.
Apollo knows that I'm a woman but he's treating me like his brother kaya wala kaming nagiging problema. "Why are you here?" Tumingin naman sakin si Apollo.
"My little brother wants to see him." Apollo's brother hugs me as I look at Myst. Haiste doesn't even know that I'm a woman so I'm keeping my distance on him as much as possible.
"We're going to the campus." Sambit naman ni Myst na ikinatingin sakin ni Haiste. "You can't join them Haiste." Sambit naman ni Apollo na ikinasama ng tingin ni Haiste sa kapatid niya.
"Why not?" Bagot niyang tanong kay Apollo. "You have to attend on your practice." He looks at me as he sighs. He grabs my shoulders as he looks at me with a serious face.
"Don't flirt to some lowlife woman ok?" Natawa nalang ako ng bahagya dahil sa inasal niya. Sumama na si Haiste sa sa kuya niya at naisipan narin naming sumakay sa sasakyan.
"Should I tell Haiste to keep his distance from you?" Haiste is just the same age as mine. He wouldn't be a problem.
"Let him be." Tumingin siya sakin saglit at hindi na kumibo. Naisipan kong magbukas ng lollipop at ibinigay ang isa kay Myst para naman may tinutunaw ang bibig namin sa biyahe.
It's not that far. 30 minutes lang ang tinagal ng biyahe bago kami makarating sa campus. "Ready to be the center of attention?" Natawa naman ako bigla. I'm not an asshole like him, but, that's what makes him a Contalejo.
Nag-enroll ako kung saan din nag-aaral si Myst. It's been a long time since I entered a campus like this. Dahil ang gusto lang ni Myst ay home-schooled ang mangyari at siya ang magiging professor ko. But I don't want too so he let me enrolled in their campus.
Maybe he just wants to protect me from danger. I don't have the rights to refuse either.
"Is that Myst's brother?"
"He's not on my age what a pity."
"Itulak moko bilis!"
Natawa naman ako na ikinatingin ni Myst sakin. "You'll get used to it Young Master Lucifer." He made me this way at hindi ko pinagsisihan na nakilala ko ang lalaking ito.
He's perfect for everything.
"Focus on your task Lu, Don't be distracted."
"I'm not planning to have any relationship in this campus, Myst." Maybe just a fling will be fine. Nakakahawa talaga ang pag-uugali ng isang Contalejo.
"So you must be Lucifer Raven Contalejo." Ngiti ng Dean.
"Goodmorning Miss Dean." I said as I kissed her forehand. Halata kong natuwa naman siya sa ginawa ko. "Such a sweet boy you are. Just like your kuya."
Natawa naman kami parehas. "Here's your schedule for tomorrow. Pwede kang maglibot sa campus until your eyes are satisfied make sure you do, ok?" Ngumiti naman ako at umalis na kami ni Myst.
Iginala ako ni Myst sa bawat shortcuts at bawat pwedeng labasan sa buong campus. No wonder that he can sneak out so easily without getting caught.
"Make sure to observe while you're in here." Sa kalagitnaan ng pag-uusap namin ay nagflash ang isang camera. Napatingin kaming dalawa sa isang babaeng kumuha ng litrato.
She hides her cellphone on her back na ikinatingin sakin ni Myst. Napabuntong hininga naman ako at pumunta sa lugar ng babae bago inalis ang lollipop sa bibig ko.
"Want to take a picture of us?" Kita ko naman ang pamumula ng mukha niya. Ibinigay niya sakin ang cellphone kaya ibinigay ko ito kay Myst na mukhang ikinairita niya.
"Be a photographer at once." Tawa ko na ikinasama ng tingin niya sakin niya. He took a picture of us kaya naman binalik na niya ulit ang cellphone ng babae.
"Make sure to tag me on that." Kindat ko bago kami umalis ni Myst. "Tsk," Naiiritang sambit ni Myst habang inaayos ang suot niya.
"I learned that from you asshole don't tsk me."
"Hanggang picture lang naman sila." Tumingin naman ako sa kanya. "Dahil hanggang nasa puder kita, You're Luna Raven Tempest, the future president of this country."
Sounds fun to me.
"So don't ever dare to fall in love Luna." Wala akong balak mahulog sa isang tao. Ano bang kinakatakot niya? I can take care of myself.
"I'd rather fall for you instead if I wanted a boyfriend." That was just a joke tho but he seems to quiet. "Stop saying nonsense, Lady Luna."
It doesn't feels so awkward dahil una sa lahat ay talagang Servant and Master lang ang turingan naming dalawa. It's just the contract will work if I pretend to be his brother. Dahil kung may nagugustuhan man ako, it'll be me, myself, and I.
But who cares? Whether I fall for a man or woman... It doesn't even matter. I have a mission to accomplish. At pagkatapos no'n, I can finally be that girl named Luna Raven Tempest again.
Saktong pagkuha ko sa cellphone ay may lumabas na notification. At nagmula yo'n sa babae kanina.
"Why are you smiling?" Sambit ni Myst tsaka kinuha ang cellphone ko ng walang paalam. "Pfft, It's just a picture. What's with the hype?"
"Want to take a picture of us too?" Tumingin naman siya sakin bago ako nginisian. "I can take all of your face angles Luna. You're my master so please remember that." So does he want to take a picture or not?
