Chapter 11

"Hmpf, that old man will never stop me from solving that case, or my name is not Clara Hobson!" With a proud expression, a police woman come out of the car into an abandoned factory. "Weird?" Feeling strange she looks around the inside of the factory. She come here to solve a weird case about a giant mutated bat that terrorize Brooklyn. "In my notes I heard his place is a gathering place of homeless people in the area but." She looks around the empty factory, "why is this place so deserted?" Getting rid of the distracting thought, she goes deeper into the factory.

Outside, I transform myself and hide, waiting for my prey to appear. Before long, I heard the sound of wings flapping in the air. I tighten my grip as the bat flying on top of me, I look at him secretly as he's circling the abandoned factory hesitate to land. I'm puzzled seeing his action, but my doubt answered remembering the police car parked near the factory. (God damn, it is she really working for the AOA!?) Helpless, I draw a card before the bat can get away, "Thunder Strike!!" My attack hit the unaware bat, making him fall to the ground.

Without wasting any time, I jump down from the building straight to the fallen bat. But before I can reach him my body blasted away by his sonic attack sending me flying to the air. With a flip I safely landed on my feet, but after that attack I can feel my internal organ injured. "Damn, it looks like an earplug isn't enough, huh." I quickly look at the embarrassed bat, his body full of burnt mark as a smell of roasted meat waft into the air. I leap with a thrust to his abdomen, but he dodges it, countering the attack with another sonic wave.

I quickly roll to the side avoiding the attack, as we catch our breath with a snarl the bat speak for the first time. "Who are you, are you working with Frankie kidnapper, huh, answer me!?" I throw my sword to my left hand and point with my right finger to him. "Listen here man, I'm not the one who kidnap your dog, I'm just a Kamen rider passing by. And I've come here to count your sin!" As I finish my sentence, I'm pretending to shoot him with my right hand. Seeing my provocation he goes berserk and start shrieking sending a shockwave that shake the building around the battlefield.

"Hey-hey-hey, shut up, will you!" After that shout, we resume our battle as my opponent getting inexplicably stronger. "Lad, you are doing something stupid by provoking him. Because he is under control of a wrath class daemon, making him stronger when he is angry." I ignore Upsilon chiding, as I'm busy fighting for my life. While I'm fighting back and forth with the bat, the police woman running out of the building because she feels the building is shaking. She stops in her track stunned seeing our battle unfolding in front of her eye.

Noticing her the enraged bats flying straight to her attacking her with his claw. Seeing her in danger, I quickly draw a card and activate it, "Wind Barrier!!" My body feels light as I run toward her, before the bat can get to her, I grab her first and jump to the factory rooftop. As we land on top, I put her gently, "are you alright?" She can only nod to my question, shaken from what happen. Looking at her face closer I feel familiar, (wait isn't she the police officer that help me when I'm getting shot.)

As I'm musing in my mind, the bat flying toward me sending a shockwave, but it's blocked by the wind barrier. Seeing his attack failed, he decides to attack me with his claw. "Stay here and don't go anywhere for now" after giving an order, I leap from the building straight to the flying bat. In midair, I'm quickly drawn a card and activating it, "Earth Strength!!" My armor harden and strength increased as my body become heavier, making my fall faster. My sword hit his left arm and making us fall to the ground, making a small earthquake in the process.

After we fall to the ground, the bat lost its left arm, so it can't fly anymore. Taking the advantage, I activate roll finish "Roll Finish Initialize : G-G-G-Gold Beetle!!" With that sound of confirmation a giant 10 sided die appear clad in electricity hitting the the bat, paralyzing him. The die roll for a second and finally stop at 7, the number appear on my back clad in electricity and finally converge into my body. A mysterious power filled my body, cladding it with electricity filling it with power. I'm instinctively moving my body by removing Upsilon from my belt and strap him to my ankle. With that, I run straight to my immobilized foe, "Rider!!"

My body flickers out of existence for a second, appearing on my enemy back "Kick!!" The bat stagnated for a moment as a gaping hole appear suddenly on his chest. With that, he suddenly exploded, obscuring the area with smoke. As the smoke subsided, a naked old white man appeared in the place of the bat. Seeing that the fight is over, I jump to the top of the factory and bring the police woman down. With her in tow, I also grab the old man on the way out of the cloaking device area to the parked AOA van.

Outside, I can see Max coming with the cleanup crew and some armed AOA soldier. I give the unconscious old man and the officer to the paramedic that come with Max. As I leave her, she caught my cape coquettishly, "thank you" hearing that I just nodded and walk away. After giving my report about the police woman to Max, I'm giving him my gratitude for the help. As I try to go back, Max hold me back to tell me to check in with their medic, but I refused his kindness. Arriving home by subway I buy some potion from the shop menu, drinking it and go to sleep.
