Kaiser of the New World

After the alarms, sirens and nuclear warnings, Kai wakes up in an empty white room. With no idea what to do, he just waits for anything to happen...hoping something will happen. Only when the voice of...something... breaks him out of the monotonous life of the white room, he realises the problems he will have to face just to survive. Note - First few chapters are slow, monotonous and downright terrible, I mean, just going back and looking at chapter three has me cringing. My writing gets better as the story goes on, but it still has a few info dumps. The first few chapter are the shortest by far, like chapter 30 is the same length as 1, 2 and part of ch 3 combined. Honestly, you can just skim the first five and then maybe read it a little more in depth. Thanks, and please, go easy on the first chapters, I already hate them. Schedule is new chapter every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Deal or no deal

After stealing the wooden stand and leaving the tutorial shop, Kai was brought to... another white room.

Kai sighed, at this point, maybe every Subdimension was just a white room.

But no, luckily, a new screen appeared before Kai's eyes.

Summoning in progress

Time until completetion - 45 seconds

Kai sighed again, was this how long a summoning was supposed to take? It always took seconds in any shows or stories, so why was it so long in this scenario?

However, to Kai's surpise, another screen appeared before his eyes.

Congratulations on being bought!

Here are the rules and regulations of the bidding process.

After the summoning is complete, you are legally obligated to remain in the Sub or Main Dimension that has purchased you for 6 months. After the 6 months are up, you are free to leave. However, if you do not leave the Subdimension within the second 6 month period, it is assumed that you wish to remain there. If you do not leave within that 6 month period at least once, you are legally obligated to remain with that Dimension until the next Tournament of Time.

Kai sighed, at least he wasn't going to be stuck there forever. To shorten it down, he had to stay there for 6 months, then he was allowed to leave. However, if he didn't leave in the 6 months after those first 6 months, he would be stuck in that Dimension until the next Tournament of Time, which he had no idea when it was going to happen.

It could have been worse, Kai thought that they were going to end up as slaves or something, but it was really just Dimensions spending money to get a 6 month advantage on trying to convince participants to stay with them and to not leave.

The only thing Kai was still curious about was what Subdimension had bought him, considering that he already knew that a Main Dimension hadn't.

And luckily, that was answered by a new screen filled with a lot of text.

You have been bought by - FrostVale, City of Eternal Winter.

Background:

This is a small tier Subdimension, consisting of one singular city and a vast landscape. The city is plagued. A never ending blizzard torments the city. This Subdimensions singular city is ruled by a king and his three queens. There is no god residing in this Subdimension.

The city was founded by a passing traveler. The traveler built the foundation of the King's castle out of impenetrable and unbreakable ice, making it extremely difficult for any intruders. Twenty years passed and the city prospered.

However, the traveler, who was acting as king, went missing just as the blizzard began.

That was over 87 billion years ago, and the blizzard hasn't stopped once since that day.

Kai whistled softly after reading the background of the Subdimension that had bought him.

87 billion years? Damn, that's a big number. How can a blizzard even last that long?

A never ending blizzard, what would that even look like? Was it always a gentle snow, or would it be impossible to see a metre in front of you?

There was also the fact that the Subdimension was ruled by a king and his... three queens.

A bit overkill, but Kai still had no idea what the romantic situation was like in other Subdimensions.

Still, if he was to imagine that everyone was like Eye of the Moon, then it certainly wasn't a good sign.

But the fact that there was no god, that threw Kai off a little. If this Subdimension had been up against Main Dimensions, presumably with many gods and much more resources, then where did they get the funding from?

Still, the situation wasn't that bad overall. Kai just had to spend 6 months in a very cold city, should be easy.

...Right?

And that was Kai's last thought as the timer hit zero.

The next few moments passed in a blur, a wave of nausea washed over Kai as it felt like his soul had been disassembled, then reassembled in the span of a millisecond.

He keeled over, feeling vomit come up his throat, but he held it in.

His vision was blurry, but he could make out a dark stone floor under him.

The next thing he felt was the cold, and it was definitely cold. Even though his tunic gave a small bit of cold resistance, Kai still felt it.

Then, his ears, even though they were cold he could still make out the remnants of people speaking.

But they were... speaking a language he couldn't understand?

Looking up, Kai saw three people standing in front of him.

The one closest to him was an older man, looking to be around sixty. Even though he looked old, his hair showed no sign of graying and was still a bright blonde colour.

He wore extravagant clothing, covered by a red cape that reached the floor and dragged behind him.

Then, Kai noticed the lavish crown on his head.

It was a lustrous gold, adorned by various gemstones of different colours. Some of them shined, some of them were dull, and some gem holes were just empty, no gem inside.

The wrinkles were showing on the man's face, he looked... angry?

Words were coming out of his mouth, but Kai couldn't understand them?

Turning his head slightly to the left, Kai looked at the second of three three people.

It was a woman who looked a bit younger than the King. She had a few wrinkles on her face, but she could still be considered very attractive.

She wore a luxurious red dress that covered every inch of her body except for her hands, neck and head, it touched the ground and flowed behind her like a pool of blood.

Her hair was quite strange though, it was all pulled behind her, her entire forehead on display. Her black hair was tied in a thick braid that dropped all the way down to her waist.

She was also taller than the other two present in the room, it's not like that fact really mattered, it just kind of caught Kai off guard.

Kai lost his concentration and nearly let his vomit spill, but he quickly caught himself and tried to stop his head from spinning

The woman, which was presumably one of the three queens, was speaking back to the king. While she looked a lot calmer, Kai could also make out her face twitching, indicating that she was also upset.

But still, Kai couldn't understand them, they were just speaking gibberish.

The final of the three people was standing behind both the king and queen.

It was another man who wore a clean white uniform. The uniform was pristine and had blue markings decorating its body.

However, Kai was more focused on the man's face.

He couldn't have been older than twenty, he looked incredibly young. Still, Kai knew that beings that looked twenty could be thousands, even millions of years old.

But the main thing was that the man was extremely attractive. While Kai wouldn't call him hot, he would definitely call him another word. Thinking about it, the man was more cute than hot.

Then, Kai saw the man's hair colour.

At first, he thought it was the aftereffects of the summoning messing with his vision even more than it already was, but no, the man's hair was a light blue colour.

It couldn't be natural, well, maybe it was, but it didn't look normal. His hair looked unkempt, but still looked tidy at the same time.

His eyes were also a light blue colour, which also caught Kai off guard. The more he looked at the man while feeling sick, the more he began to believe that the man was a human cotton candy.

However, the idea of him being the personification of something cute and innocent like cotton candy was quickly thrown out the window when Kai saw a sheath attached to the side of the man's uniform, with a hilt sticking out of it.

But now that a few seconds had passed, and Kai had regained some of his clarity, the three in front of him were the only people other than him here.

It was a spacious hall, candles lit all around providing some light, but the heat was still non existent.

There was a gargantuan door at the end, but there wasn't even any guards there.

Then, a thought popped into Kai's mind.

Surely the king and queen weren't idiots, they knew that there might have been the possibility of Kai attacking them.

There was the chance that they themselves were incredibly strong, but if that wasn't the case, they had only brought the blue haired man for protection.

Just how strong was he?

Snapping out of his daze slightly, Kai realised that he had the perfect skill to check.

Activating Soul Sense, Kai looked at the blue haired man's soul and-

The blue haired man's attention, which had just been focused on the arguing king and queen, suddenly turned to Kai, his eyes almost trying to peirce through Kai's very being.

Kai instantly deactivated Soul Sense, not wanting to test the man.

Still, he had caught a glimpse, and that glimpse only made Kai more sure of the man's strength.

By now, Kai was feeling slightly better, he could stand up straight without nearly falling over, and his vision had gotten better.

But then, he heard a sneeze come frome behind him.

Turning his head to see the source, Kai's eyes widened in shock as he realised who the sneeze had come from.

"... Petunia?"

Both the queen and king turned to look at Kai, who had accidently made them stop arguing by speaking.

But Kai was more confused on why Petunia was here, did that mean that the king had bought both Kai and her?

Instinctively, Kai took a few steps back to shield the young girl.

Not caring for the small movement, the king brought his hand up to his throat and coughed. Then, he lowered it slightly and pressed a finger onto a golden pendant that was in front of where his heart would be.

Then, Kai's eyes widened in shock as he understood the words coming out of the King's mouth.

"Hello there, tutorial participants. I welcome you to our humble city."

Nearly had to go on hiatus because wattpad deleted my stockpile of chapters, got them back tho.
