Just OUR Love Story (Ereri/Riren fanfic)

Levi finds himself all alone in the world, the people he loved gone. He'd walk the city streets looking for nothing in particular, maybe just that special someone who'd sweep him off his feet. Thirty-eight and still a virgin; he was rich and seemed to have had his whole life made for him but in reality it was just the opposite. Until one rainy night, cold and soaked waiting for his limo that seemed to not want to show, he met a young bartender, far younger than him at least, who offered him a ride home. SAY WHAT YOU WANNA SAY BITCHES ABOUT THIS SHIP 'CAUSE LAWS NEVER PHASED ME. Well- at least not until now when I couldn't make Eren 15 and Levi 34 (their AoT ages season 1-3) so I just went with their ages in season 4 (Eren 19 and Levi 38) so I won't get ridiculed. Also I did my research on the characters before writing about them so fight me if you dare.

Just a royal screw up

Eren POV

"Eren, I'm bisexual. I'm sorry that you think I'm gross, I'm sorry I am the way I am and that I've just been putting you through my shitty life since last night. You should've just left me in the rain." Levi spat at me.

Shit. Why did I say that about gay people? I don't think gay people are gross- is my own personal issues with my girlfriend rubbing off on me? The fact she's cheating on me with a woman-? I don't think it's wrong I'm just really heartbroken. Heck I don't even think I'm straight myself, Levi is really hot! Apologize, Eren! APOLOGIZE BEFORE HE LEAVES, because he probably won't come back!

"Levi, I'm so-" I tried to apologize and explain, but he cut me off.

"Just don't, Eren. I get it. I'm a fag, I'm gross, I'm wrong, I'm going to hell, I've heard it all before. Just save it." No, Levi, you don't get it. Just listen to me, please!

"Wait Levi-"

He interrupted me again.

"Y'know, I honestly thought I'd made a good friend, for once, one I finally wouldn't lose. But it turns out I was wrong, and I'm sorry for wasting your time." Levi said, turning his back to me.

No, you didn't waste my time, we didn't do much in the time we've known each other but you're a lot of fun, please let me explain!

"I'm not mad, just disappointed." He said softly, turning around to look me in the eyes. His gorgeous eyes, a granite grey with the most gorgeous hint of blue. They looked at me, and the unfathomable pain I could see in them stabbed me through the heart, causing my eyes to well up with tears. What has he been through? And what have I done to make it so much worse?

With that final look, he turned his head back away from me and slammed the car door. No... no no no no... this can't be it don't let this be it, please, God! I've screwed up, I've royally screwed up.

...

When I got home to the apartment, with light bulbs in hand, I didn't see Mikasa anywhere. I checked my phone, no missed text messages from her either.

Walking to Mikasa's room, I saw her fast asleep on top of her freshly made bed covers, still wearing her clothes from this morning. I smirked at how comfortably she was able to fall asleep, and grabbed her favorite red knit blanket, carefully placing it over her.

"Stay with me for a long time, ok, sis?" I whispered softly.

"MmmmMMM." Was my only response from her before she turned to face the other side of the bed.

Heading back into the living room, I noticed how clean it all was. Levi really put a lot into cleaning my apartment. I should thank him- but I don't have his number... I guess that's truly it. I'm truly a royal screw up.

I fell back onto the couch with a large sigh.

Bzzt... Bzzzzt...

Oh, it's my phone. Oh... it's Historia. Reluctantly, I answered the phone.

"Hello?"

'Eren? Is that you?'

"Yes it's me, Historia, what do you want?"

'It's about Ymir... can I come over to talk to you about it? Or we could meet at the bar?'

"Let's meet at the bar, Mikasa's asleep and I don't want to disturb her."

'Ok see you there at 1am.'

...

Walking into the bar I was greeted by the smell of cigarettes and alcohol. Looking around I spotted Historia's small frame plopped on a stool in front of the bartender, she was looking into her virgin pina colada. She didn't notice when I had sat next to her so I kind of just sat there in silence.

"Hey."

Historia jumped a little bit and looked up at me, "Oh! Eren it's just you, you startled me!"

"Sorry. I've had a rough night." I said, rubbing my still puffy eyes.

"Have you been crying, Eren?" Historia looked at me, worried.

"Maybe."

"Is it about the thing with me in Ymir-?" She said, sipping her drink.

"No." I said before she could finish talking.

"Then what-"

"It's none of your business." I grumbled harshly.

"What do you mean it's none of my business? I'm your girlfriend!" Historia slammed her drink onto the counter with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Are you, though?" I looked over at her with a harsh glare.

"W-What do you mean?" Historia's brows softened into a less angry, more sad position.

"Are you really my girlfriend? Are you that Ymir chick's girlfriend? Because I can't really tell."

"I-I'm your girlfriend, obviously!" She started to get sad.

"No, you were my girlfriend. But apparently four years means nothing when it comes to good sex, does it?" I spat.

"What do you mean... 'were'?"

"I'm breaking up with you, Historia."

Instead of looking sad, she just laughed.

"Honestly, you don't know a good thing 'till it's gone." Poison lingering in her tone.

"You're right, I found a good thing yesterday but then I said something I shouldn't have, and I don't think I'll see him again."

"Him?" Her tone barely a whisper.

"Yeah, him. Historia, I was never really attracted to you. Sure, I thought you were pretty, but... that was all." I replied softly.

"I see... I think I feel the same, to be honest. I really like Ymir, and I was worried with you in the picture that I couldn't have her. But now I see, that isn't an issue, is it?"

"No, it's not. Truce?"

"Truce."

I held my pinkie out to her, and she linked it in hers. A smirk crossed her face.

"Sooo, what's he like?"

"A lot like you, actually."

"How so?"

"Well he's short, and slim framed." Historia pouted at my indirect tease. "But he's also very strong-willed. He knows what he wants and how to get it. An incredibly fiery personality."

"Interesting, what does he look like?" She rested her elbow on the bar, resting her cheek in the palm of her hand and looking at me.

"Well, he's very pale. Has the most gorgeous ivory skin. His eyes are this granite grey, with the prettiest twinges of blue in between. He has a slim, button nose and this beautiful blend between soft and chiseled features. Did I forget to mention he has big eyes? And his eyelashes are so long they cast shadows over his cheeks, too. He has short black hair, like a bowl cut in a way but the strands are very piecy in length and it's parted on the side instead of in the middle. He also has an undercut which suits him very well."

Historia laughed at my detailed description of Levi.

"Sounds like you're head over heels, Eren." She chortled, sipping her virgin pina colada again.

"Am I? I only met him like two nights ago... besides he hates me."

"Why do you say that?"

"Well, I accidentally made it sound like I have a very terrible opinion of gay people; which I don't."

"Oh?"

"Yeah... I guess I was just so hung up on the Ymir thing that I put my anger into the wrong words at the wrong time."

"I see... what exactly did you say?"

"Well I said that gay men were gross... even though after some thought I probably am gay myself."

"Sheesh, how did he react?"

"Well, he slammed his fists on the dashboard of my car- it left a dent, by the way. And he told me he was bisexual, said he wishes he never met me, and that he was 'sorry for wasting my time'."

"Oh my, what happened then?"

"Well, he made me stop the car and drop him off on a random street."

"Wow, you royally screwed up." Said a new voice from behind Historia and me.
