Chapter 46 - The Proposal

An Fei stared into Chen Xin's eyes and found the answer that she was looking for when he looked back at her. A flicker of love, warmth and comfort telling her that he will always be there. She is in a conflict now as she does not want the love to be rekindle but to steer him away from her and to another person. The only conclusion that she wants to draw from his eyes is his determination to support her with no further stings attached.

Chen Xin was not sure what An Fei is planning to do. He just knew that she stopped in front of him, looked him in the eyes and they both started a staring contest. There were a lot of girls that has been trying to get his attention for the past few years but he had never been interested in anyone of them. But now looking at her, he felt a need to protect her, to be her pillar of support, to be there and always be there no matter what. He was not sure why would he be feeling this way at all. He was just about to start questioning himself when she spoke.

"Mr Chen, I would need your help this time round. There is a possibility that my family will come after you if we collaborate. There is also a possibility that you will gain a lot from this experience which would be beneficial to your future. I'm wondering if you would be willing to help me?"

"Miss An, I am willing to help but I believe in knowing what it is first before I commit to it. If it has to do with harming anyone I'm not interested. If it is for the better good, then why not?"

"Well Mr Chen, there will not be any deaths and I'll make sure of that. I will make sure that the best security is in place before we kick this off. At this point of time it is just an wild idea in my head now and I'm not very sure if this is going to be the right decision at the moment but it is one of the better option that I am choosing. I would need your agreement before we can proceed else, I'm not sure if I can fully trust you with my plan."

She challenged him with trust which was what she had always played with when they were together. She had always had this trust issue about him leaving her someday and she had used this to work around a number of their arguments when they were younger to get what she wanted and he had always been wrapped around her fingers the whole time.

On the other hand, Chen Xin felt as if this was not the first time that a similar arguement had happened before and without thinking, he allowed the other him that loves to win get the better out of him.

"Fine, Miss An, since that is how you put it, I willingly accept to work with you on the condition that no lives will be lost and no innocent party will be implicated. No matter what you must tell me what is in your mind right now and we could work out a plan together. You asking me these questions and asking me for a commitments, it seems to me that you have some doubts about your plan at this moment too."

"It seems you can read me well Mr Chen and I'm sure with this we can work well together."

"Since there are more brains here. Run it by us so that we can come out with a solution that can work."

"Sure. Since Grandmother had passed down the regulations in Shen Shen Enterprise that the person with the highest share holding would be able to run this business with no questions asked. By right, looking at the distribution, Ji Li should be the biggest shareholder and flowing next to it is Grandfather. Since Grandfather and Ji Li is not allowed to be involve in this fight for the President position, I can only think of a few possibilities.

"Option 1, I can transfer all of mine to you, making yours go up to 11%. But this would mean that in the event that 4th Uncle gets his whole family to transfer to him, he would be higher than you and you will be out soon. This is not something I want to happen.

"Option 2, I can get the shares under Ji Li to be transferred to you. But that would mean, I would need to find a reason for the transfer to be done. Which means either to announce that you are the founder of Ji Li or that you somehow manage to get the funds to purchase the stocks from Ji Li recently and that is a little troublesome."

With this said, An Fei was quiet and was thinking if she should say out the next few options to them because the next few options are not things that she can decide on her own.

Grandfather Shen was looking at them the whole time and suddenly it occurred to him that there is something that he could offer to assist them with and there is minimal damage to everyone.

"This old man would like to add an option and Fei Fei, I know that this was also analysed in your head just now. I think this is the best option among them all."
