Chapter 18 - The Private Reading

"Little Girl, you know, there is so many things but so little time. Shall we begin?"

"I don't really like to talk to the air. Why don't you show me the real you?"

"Should have known that this would be your first request. Come on in, you will need to see this."

Grumbling, one of the doors opened and sounds of gears moving and activating was heard. Looking over, An Fei saw that the room was actually a server room which is fully equipped.

She stepped in thinking to herself how this looks just like those complicated server rooms with monitors that shows everything from the views from outside the building all the way to the individual shops. It shows everything is being monitored here.

"Take a seat."

Looking around for a place to seat, she found a table with a very comfortable chair at the back of it. Taking a seat, a slit appeared on thr table and a monitor emerged. An image of herself appeared in the screen.

"Well, Hello hello. I'm Pamela. Your Grandmother named me. Sarah was such a sweet lady. I asked her why am I you and she told me because I was your creation at the start. She said at that point of time when she created me from the AI project of yours, she was so afraid that she will loose you to cancer, therefore I took on your face and kept her company when you were not around."

Seeing and hearing this, An Fei cried. Silent tears flowing down. She missed her Grandmother so much.

"Now back to what I need to do here. This whole shopping mall is built by your Grandmother 10 years ago and it has flourished since then. Do you still remember coming for the opening?"

The monitor flashed an image of her, Chen Xin and her grandparents in at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the opening.

"At that time, we were told that we are coming in as the guest of honour for the event."

"Yes. Sarah wanted the family to be there but does not want anyone to know that she owns this building, thus, that was what she told everyone. Even until today, no one knows who the real owner is. Except for me and Lawyer Fu and now you. Everything in regards to its operations and upkeep has been done on my end since I came into Sarah's life.

"Sarah told me that you will be taking over in the event that she is no longer around. I only felt her slipping away when my sensors picked up that there was no further movements in the hospital room that she was sleeping in and from that day on, I have been patiently waiting for you to come over so that I will not be too lonely. Well not lonely per se. It is just that I'll be on idle. Which I don't want to be-"

"Can you make it short and sweet for me? It seems that with the pace that you are going on, it will take a long while."

The talk is evoking more and more sadness, grief and pain for her. It is closed to unbearable.

"Impatient eh? Ok. Look at this. Read it and let's talk."

There was a letter with a list that was created and typed out showing what she needed to know all in one list and what shocked her was that her Grandmother had predicted this outcome too.
