What are your thoughts on Megumi?

Doesn't deserve the hate:

It's funny to clown on him:

Genuine garbage:

__________

Naohiro

Well, that certainly was an experience.

Who knew that fighting Mahoraga would be so much fun!?

Originally, I thought it would be an 'I adapt to your adaptation of my adaptation' kind of fight, but it makes sense that it only worked with abilities being used.

It's still a funny thought.

Anyway, I gained a ton during my fight. Mahoraga reached such a high body temperature that I could evolve my fire resistance.

He is the strongest person I have faced so far in terms of raw physicals.

My thoughts get broken when I arrive back at the compound.

As I suspected, someone was waiting for me. Specifically a non-misogynistic 18-year-old.

He leans against the wall. "Well, well, well, you came back this time. Surprised you brought Megumi back alive."

I smile. "I told you I wouldn't return for a week."

He gives me a deadpan stare. "A week can turn into years when it comes to you."

I rub the back of my head. "I'm trying to fix it."

He huffs a laugh. "Anyway, Shoko stopped by; wanted to ensure you were alive. I asked her if she wanted to help with the other kids' training, but she declined."

I pondered for a moment. "I told her I'd be gone for a week. I'll try talking her into helping you guys out when Potential Man isn't training."

He raised an eyebrow and turned his head to Megumi. "Speaking of Megumi...isn't he a little...?"

Turning to my left, I see Megumi with a formal posture, looking straight ahead and keeping his mouth shut.

I smirk. "Little what?"

Megumi turns to Naoya. "I now understand."

Naoya laughs. "*Pft* What the hell did you do to the kid!?"

I shrug. "I showed him the difference between heaven and earth. Young grasshopper wasn't familiar with my game."

Naoya shakes his head. "I'm not even going to ask what you mean by that, but it looks like everything went well."

Megumi spoke up. "How is Tsumiki?"

He raises an eyebrow. "It's only been a week. School and hovering around the compound. She should still be in school now."

Megumi's eyes widened. "I missed school!"

Naoya came over and ruffled his hair, which Megumi wasn't pleased with. "You aren't going to school, you goof. Tsumiki wanted to go, so we kept her enrolled. You'll learn here."

Megumi's face turned serious. "Enroll me back into school."

Naoya had a visible look of disgust on his face. "Kid, what is it with you?"

I smile and add fuel to the fire. "Couldn't stop thinking about her while we were training too."

His face reddened as he tried to defend himself. "S-Stop it! I'm trying to keep her safe since she's my only family!"

Naoya looked at him like he was stupid. "You do know that everyone in this clan is your family, right? Your father left the clan which makes you related to us. Naohiro and I are your distant cousins."

His eyes widened again as I spoke up. "Did you really think Gojo put you in a clan of random unrelated people?"

Megumi reddened even more as he stomped back into the compound.

I smiled. "Why is it fun messing with a 7-year-old."

Naoya replies while smiling at the retreating Megumi. "For once in my life, I agree with you."

I huff a laugh. "He is so serious all the time that messing with him makes him open up more. Talking to him is almost impossible without getting a type of reaction."

His face turns back to normal. "Though I've got to ask. Why are you so hard on him? You're moving him too fast. I know a thing or two about training people, and you're acting like he could be thrown into a war the next day."

I look at the sky. "He will not waste his potential as long as I am alive...and he is technically my training buddy."

He has a dumbfounded look on his face. "What can the kid help YOU of all people with? If he's your training buddy, then I pray for his life."

I smile. "I said technically. I'm not going around beating up children, although Toji had a track record with that."

He narrows his eyes a tad. "Is it because of Toji?"

I laugh. "HAH, Gojo and I destroyed the homeless bum. No, it's because he is a walking ball of potential with a nuke attached to him."

Naoya nodded. "I don't fully get it, but I will head back inside. Even if it doesn't look like it, I'm a pretty busy guy."

...

With that, we both walked back into the compound.

4 Hours Later

Someone slams on my door.

*Bam*

*Bam*

*Bam*

Opening up the door, I see Megumi with an extremely worried expression on his face.

I tilt my head in irritation. "What's up? Don't slam on my door if you want to keep your hand."

However, he doesn't care. "Tsumiki hasn't returned from school, and it's been two hours since school ended! She always comes back before then!"

...

My eyes widen. "Fuck!"

Pushing past him, I sprint toward Naoya's room.

*Slide*

I slide open the door to Naoya's room. "Where is Tsumiki!?"

He looks irritated but responds. "What is this about?"

I run over and grab his shoulders. "Where is Tsumiki Fushiguro! Megumi said she hasn't come back from school!"

He raises an eyebrow. "Isn't it normal for kids to stay later after school? Also, people from the clan have been assigned to watch over her if anyone tries to pull something."

I narrow my eyes and release cursed energy. "Where."

Naoya shrugs. "Saitama Urami East Junior High. Jeez, I'll call them up if it will get you to stop freaking out."

Running out of the clan compound, I head towards the school.

Please don't repeat the Geto situation. I couldn't save him, so please let her be okay.

?????: Kenjaku P.O.V.

Uraume was a terrible loss, and I didn't want to have to rush my plans.

Thankfully, binding vows have been twisted due to my technique allowing me to switch bodies, so while incarnation is a part of the deal, the Culling Games can wait.

Time to wake up.

...

...

...

Yorozu.
