Journey: The Destructive Incarnate

In the Stellar sea of stars, a giant tree stood, rivers made of countless white streaks flowed throughout its giant body travelling toward its root. Those rivers were made of souls going through the process of rebirth, but among those countless rivers, a certain stream travelled directly toward the stem of the tree. In that specific river, a soul flowed like every other; nothing special about it would have remained as such. Suddenly the space it inhabited collapsed as a brilliant golden glow travelled out of that distorted space. The soul unable to escape got showered by that golden glow, its spiritual body absorbing it. Unable to handle the magnitude of the power contained in the golden light, the soul started to tear up. But somehow it managed to absorb it all, but it came at a cost, as the single soul split into two, one being thrown out of that river. Passing through another river, it made its way toward the root, whereas the other part continued on its way. A soul who got the body to handle the power of the golden glow after rebirth but didn't have it, and a body that had the power but couldn't handle it was created. But fate works in mysterious ways as after the death of one body, the soul finally reunited making someone whole. Bam! Thud

With a thud sound, Aline was thrown into prison again, due to hitting the prison wall with such force Aline groaned with pain.

"STOP TRYING TO RUN AWAY ALREADY BITCH!!!"

The thug that had thrown her shouted as veins were visual in his forehead, he was seething with anger and killing intent.

After all, this was the tenth time Aline had tried to escape, due to which the amount of trouble he had gotten in had almost driven him mad.

Even while being in pain, even seeing his anger and feeling his killing intent Aline still glared at him fearlessly.

Why? Well after having stayed here for more than six months she had learned one fact and that is, they can't kill her.

Even when they injure her after a while they will give her a potion to heal, although she feels the pain she has gotten long used to it.

After all the whip marks on her body didn't appear out of nowhere, to break her will they had been beating her for months.

"THIS BITCH!!!"

He shouted as he took out a dagger from his pocket and pounced at Aline, just before the man with the dagger could reach her a punch planted in his face.

He was knocked down, as the man who punched him glared at her, it was Bet the bald man who had captured her.

"This Bitch, why can't you learn your place."

He muttered with venom in his voice as he kicked the fallen Aline knocking her out, throwing a potion on her body he picked up the knocked guy.

As he was leaving the prison he heard something from behind, turning his head a little he saw a woman approaching the unconscious Aline.

Seeing the worry on her face, a sinister light passed through Bet's eyes, smiling a little and lost in his thoughts he left the prison and closed the door.

"Aline why don't you give up."

Slivi said as she looked at Aline sleeping on her lap, she could see various wounds throughout her body.

Her once shining green hair had become dull and muddy due to all the dirt and mud. Her clothes had dried blood patches everywhere and her clothes were tattered everywhere.

The only thing that hasn't changed is her shining blue eyes still burning with flames, her will was the only thing that remained the same.

"You know I can't do that sister after all I am the only one here they won't kill. So I should at least take advantage of that face and try to escape."

Aline muttered with a cracked and dry voice, her once smooth voice was long gone, her lips had dried and her body had become skinny and malnourished.

That had happened due to the guards not giving Aline food when she tried to escape, it would have been even worse if Silvi hadn't given some of her portions.

"You know you don't have to do that, they aren't killing you and haven't harmed you in any way. So if you stay still you will be alright."

Silvi said with a tired voice, the flames in her that were burned due to Aline got extinguished as quickly as they came.

After all, seeing the child getting so injured and beaten broke her will and she wanted nothing more than to stop her.

She couldn't bear to see her getting hurt anymore.

"Even if I may be alright, but what about you?"

Aline asked as tears rolled down her eyes, after all, she had suffered through all this pain and tried so many times to escape so that she could call the guards.

Once she does that everybody here will be also free, hearing her words and knowing it meaning tears stream down Silvi's eyes.

Hugging her tightly she muttered while crying.

"Please Don't.. you don't have to.. for us.. please don't get.. hurt."

She requested Aline but no reply came, Aline stayed silent in her embrace, and hearing the silence hurt Silvi's heart even more.

"Why does such a kind child have to suffer God?"

She questioned the gods but even they didn't give her a reply, the only sound that was heard was their crying as they held each other in their embrace.

Another month passed by, and Aline stayed quiet this whole month as she watched the guards in the prison.

Though the guards still whip her on a daily basis trying to dampen her will, she just takes it silently.

After all, they will apply a healing potion on her, she just has to bear with the pain and the scars and mark the whip left behind.

By now she had perfectly memorized the guard's pattern, they sift their position every four hours.

After which they either take a girl from this room or go to the other room and have sex. At a certain point in time, all of them leave and come back drunk.

Though taking a girl from this room and putting it in the other room was a rare occasion, after all from what Aline heard.

The girls in this room are products so they could damage them that much.

This was also the time Aline used to escape but all of the attempts have failed after all Aline's mana has been sealed so she can't fight against even a mana-less guard.

Though with every new attempt, she had gone farther and farther, she had been memorizing this place and finding a place to escape from.

So why did she stay silent this month, well she found an escape root in the tenth attempt and now she is just waiting for a moment to escape.

"Aline here"

Slivi said as she handed her a piece of bread, seeing this Aline smiled and took it. It was part of Slivi's portion, at first Aline refused to take it but since Silvi warned that she wouldn't eat if Aline didn't Aline was forced to take it.

"Thank you."

Aline offered her gratitude as she started to eat the bread, it was cold and hard and had a bitter flavor but this was the only thing they could eat so they ate it.

"Aline have you given up."

Silvi asked with a little hope in her voice.

"No"

But that blunt answer turned her rising hope to despair as she gave a sigh but didn't say anything more.

She just patted her head and stared at the prison bar with various emotions in her eyes. Anger, sadness, hate, despair, and many others swirled around.

Just why must they suffer so much?, just why must this kind of child have to go through so much?, Just why was their future destroyed?

What sins have they committed to suffer so much? Just WHY?

Such types of questions flooded her mind but no answer came, she wanted to cry but she didn't even have the strength left to do so.

At least she was lucky she thought as she looked at the other room, where the women and girls lost their everything and were treated worse than animals.

Having such a thought she was disgusted by herself, but what can she do.. it is human nature after all.
