Journey: The Destructive Incarnate

In the Stellar sea of stars, a giant tree stood, rivers made of countless white streaks flowed throughout its giant body travelling toward its root. Those rivers were made of souls going through the process of rebirth, but among those countless rivers, a certain stream travelled directly toward the stem of the tree. In that specific river, a soul flowed like every other; nothing special about it would have remained as such. Suddenly the space it inhabited collapsed as a brilliant golden glow travelled out of that distorted space. The soul unable to escape got showered by that golden glow, its spiritual body absorbing it. Unable to handle the magnitude of the power contained in the golden light, the soul started to tear up. But somehow it managed to absorb it all, but it came at a cost, as the single soul split into two, one being thrown out of that river. Passing through another river, it made its way toward the root, whereas the other part continued on its way. A soul who got the body to handle the power of the golden glow after rebirth but didn't have it, and a body that had the power but couldn't handle it was created. But fate works in mysterious ways as after the death of one body, the soul finally reunited making someone whole. "Haaa, haa"

Taking deep breaths Aline woke up, what came into her view was a dark ceiling covered in dirt, and various smells of blood, feces, sweat, and other things entered her nose.

"Agg"

She covered her mouth and nose as she tried to hold back her vomit, due to the sudden noise she made all the people next to her looked at her.

All of them were tattered and bloodied clothes, with physical harm visual in their body, most had dead eyes as if they didn't care anymore.

Although some were looking at her with pity, fear and sadness could also be visible in their eyes.

As she looked around she noticed that she was in a cell with many children of her age, some older and some completely broken unable to move.

In the cell ahead of hers she could see the girls being abused and ra#ed, she couldn't hold herself back anymore.

"Agak"

She vomited all she had eaten adding to the waste gathered around on the floor, nobody in the room helped her or cared for that matter.

After all after all they have suffered how could they help others to relieve their sufferings? So they sat there silently without moving and without saying anything.

"Haa, haa"

She took deep breaths as she tried to calm herself but fear still crept up, she felt like she would pass out again.

"Are you alright?"

A gentle but tired female voice asked as she could hear someone moving near to her, Aline looked up to see a woman slowly crawling toward her.

She had brown hair but due to all the mud and dirt collected it looked like dirt, her face was somewhat dry, and visual signs of beating could be seen.

Although she should have been twenty years of age, due to malnourishment she didn't look like one.

She was also one of the few who was looking at her with pity in her eyes, as she walked closer she wiped Aline's mouth with her cloth.

Although it wasn't the cleanest it still did the job, Aline seeing this was startled.

"Y-Your Clothes."

She said in a small voice somewhat shuttering as she pointed at her clothes, which had been dirtied.

"Ha, what reason is there to care about such things in a place like this."

She said with a pained laugh, her face filled with despair and misery, she seemed to have suffered a lot here.

Walking over the pool of vomit she sat next to Alien with her back to the wall, patting the floor next to her she looked at Aline.

Understanding the meaning of her words, Aline sat down, the woman patted her head.

"What is your name Child?"

She asked as she tilted her head to look at Aline, Aline hearing her question replied.

"Aline,.. that's my name."

"Aline.. what a beautiful name."

She muttered as she looked at the ceiling with her pained eyes.

"What is your name Sister?"

Aline asked as she finally calmed down due to her, after all even in this place akin to hell, a human interaction helped her calm her mind.

"My name.. Slivi"

She said as she patted her head, her eyes going through various emotions.

"You really are a calm child."

"Father said to always keep your cool in such situations."

"Hmm, must have been a great man."

"Yes, he was."

As she answered that Aline's face saddened, after all, although she didn't have any proof she felt like he had died.

"Must have been hard for you."

Slivi said seeing her sad face, she gave her a hug as she let her hide her sadness in her embrace. Aline did just that as she hugged her back and cried a silent cry.

Silvi didn't say anything, as she didn't have anything to say, she just let herself be the place where this child could hide.

After a while, her cries stopped as both of them remained silent, seeing the situation being like this Silvi opened her mouth.

"How old are you by the way child?"

She asked, after all from looking at her she looked like someone seven years old, although there was a chance she may be older than that.

"Three."

Aline said in a small voice, hearing her answer a look of complete shock appeared on Silvi's face, so much so that she looked at the child's body again and again opening and closing her eyes continuously.

"Ah.. I see..."

She replied after all she wasn't sure if it was the truth or a lie, so she decided not to question it. Hiding her eyes tighter in her embrace she looked around her, at all those that shared the same fate as her.

Although she hadn't lost her purity she knew that her time would come, and as days passed more dread filled her heart.

"Sister, can you please explain where we are?"

Aline questioned and she answered, after all there is no reason to hide it. She told her that they had been captured and kept as slaves.

It was done by a group who works in the shadow of the middle section of this city "Ravenhood" and also told her that she has been here for two months.

"But isn't slavery illegal?"

Alien questioned after all The Father had told her some things about the world and this was one of them.

After the end of the war 500 years ago, slavery was made illegal, and anybody who was found carrying slaves or doing slavery would receive the death penalty.

"haaa, if everybody followed the rules, this world would have been much safer."

She muttered as tears streamed down her eyes, after all as a grown adult she understands this world better than most.

"Then let's escape."

"how?"

Silvi questioned as she heard the little girl's bold declaration, she looked into her eyes and she could see a fire, a flame of determination.

"We would escape no matter what!"

She exclaimed as her flaming Will burned even brighter, so much so that the extinguished flames of Slivi also rose again.

It may have been childish thoughts that made the little girl say those words, but it didn't change the fact that she said it.

So how could it not motivate Slivi, after all as an adult she had given up but this child was willing to fight.

How couldn't she be ashamed of herself after this, it also didn't help the fact that Aline had a certain aura around her.

An Aura that made it so that people wanted to believe in her, so a silent hope rose in Slivi's brain.

She laughed at herself for having such thoughts but still, she didn't stop the child after all what gave her the right to kill those flames.

"Hey, what are you bitches doing their cuddling!!!"

One of the guards shouted, his shout sent shivers down Silvi's spine so she quickly let Aline go, she turned her head down not even daring to look at the guard.

"What you little bitch glaring at?!"

The guard questioned, Silvi turned her head to look at Aline, she could see her glaring at the guard with no fear in her eyes.
