Ch.48 Life Goes On

After Aunt Ruri shouted and we appeared before them, they looked at us with faces filled with surprise and confusion.

Then they saw my smiling face, and a look of understanding appeared on their face. Annoyance started to show, but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

Well, they must have understood that there is no use trying to hide it, plus the festive mood that has been created they can't destroy it now can they?

"Why don't you guys kiss?"

Aunt Ruri asked the question as she started to walk toward them, following behind her Mother also added.

"Yes, you guys should kiss. After all, even the gods and goddess of love blessed you. So the least you can do is kiss to show your love."

Mother said in a serious voice, but the cheeky smile on her face removed every bit of seriousness from it.

As for my father, he just stayed in the background and gave Sir Vayu a thumbs-up with a toothy smile on his face.

"S-Sister, How Ca-n-n I Ki-s-.."

Agni tried to say something but her red face and shuttering voice made it impossible to do show.

"Hey, just kiss. What are you scared for Little Sis? Now you are a couple and this is your right as a couple."

Aunt said as he looked at Agni's face with a serious look.

"Yes, Vayu you should man up and kiss her."

Mother said as she looked at Vayu, now both of them started to pressure the two and as for us, we were just enjoying the show from the side.

In fact, my father has already started to eat the food presented, well I should also do that. After all, watching a show while eating is one of the best experiences one can have.

Sir Vayu after a while of pressure, looked at Agni with a serious face, holding her in his hand he turned her face towards her.

She started back at him, her face red and Sir Vayu moved his face forward, Agni closed her eyes, and their lips connected.

A caste kiss, they enjoyed the closeness they just felt.

"Yayyyyyyy"

All of us in the sidelines shouted, well even my sister, it seems she has dropped her fake cold face.

As for Aunt Ruri and Mother, they were smiling ear to ear and recording the whole event.

Just as Sir Vayu let go of the embrace and stopped the kiss, Agni opened her eyes and stared at him.

As he distanced himself, well tried to Agni hugged him as she brought him closer to her. They went in for another kiss, this time instigated by Agni.

It was shorter than the last as they let go of each other, their faces beet red due to the embarrassment they were currently feeling.

Seeing their reaction Mother and Aunt giggled, as to why I was sitting on the sidelines and not talking to them.

Well, I don't want to get on their radar for now, I just hope that today's festive environment will make them forget what I did.

And, it seems to have worked as they never spoke of it, after all that ordeal was completed we are just having a small-scale party.

Music started to play as we sat on our chairs, enjoying the food prepared and talking to each other. Well, Father and Sir Vayu were having a drink and Father forced Sir Vayu to drink.

And Agni is currently surrounded by Mother and Aunt Ruri, and looking at her red face, I can only say one thing and that is I don't want to be in her situation.

My Sister is sitting at the table looking at the scene in front of her, a little smile adorned on her face. As for Ruby, she was currently enjoying the delicious presented to us, just like I was.

After all, this is one of the things we have in common and that is we both are foodies.

After a while, it somewhat turned into a family dinner, just under the night sky instead of the dining room.

Sitting on our respective seats with a table in the middle we enjoyed the food and talked with each other.

"Wow, Neo your plan really worked."

Ruby said in a voice loud enough to be heard by all, which quickly caught the interest of the people present there.

"Hmm?"

I hummed as I gave her a questioning look, I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this.

"After all, you tricked them into confession to each other."

She said innocently as if not seeing the expression on my face. The atmosphere changed by that single sentence, those who knew the meaning of her words showed an argument.

Those who didn't, like Sir Vayu and Agni, showed utter confusion, which quickly turned to understanding.

After all, they are smart people, so how can they not know the meaning of her words? I could see anger already starting to bubble up in their eyes.

"Ruby we can talk about this in my room, lets enjoy the food for now."

I tried to stop her by changing the topic, I also gave her a warning look that promised pain. Just let this ordeal be finished and I will show you what the hell is Ruby.

"Ruby, my dear why don't you continue with your words."

But it seemed I was too late to stop her as the cold yet gentle voice of Agni asked her to continue which she happily did.

"Of, course Aunt Agni, as I said Neo tricked you two into confessing to each other. After all, he made up the story that one wanted to confess and told the other."

This girl, it seems she really wants me dead, I can feel the mana in the atmosphere changing, the winds started to blow faster and heat rose by a few degrees.

"I see."

Sir Vayu said as he looked at my face and then at Agni.

"Hohoho, You made quite a play Neo."

Agni said with a small laugh as she looked into my eyes, and then she also started at Sir Vayu. I don't know what they talked about with their eyes but the mana released by them decreased.

And as if the matter didn't even happen they just sat silently, no body else bought up the topic and Ruby looked at the situation dumbfoundedly.

It seems I am the same, well for now that is. Looking at Ruby sitting next to me, I moved my body closer to hers and whispered in her ears.

"Be ready to not sleep tonight."

Saying in the most threatening voice possible I backed out, she shivered as she looked at me with fear in her eyes.

"How anticlimactic."

I could hear Aunt Ruri mutter from the distance, Sigh this aunt of mine. I know I would have said the same if I were in her situation, but still, shouldn't she act more maturely?

Well, something seems to have been bothering her for a while, I guess this much-relaxed attitude, for now, is fine.

Feeling someone stare at me, I looked in the direction where I felt the stare coming from. My sister is staring at me, so I smile at her. 

Seeing me turning and smiling as her she puts her head down and ignores me, how hurtful.
