Ch.42 A little trolling
"Aunt, how long do you think it will take them to ask for my help?"
I asked her after we had our little laugh-off, although I have an estimate since she knows them better than I do, it won't hurt anyone to learn her thoughts on it.
"Hmm, let's see."
Muttering that after hearing my question she makes a pondering face as she supports her head with one of her hands.
"From, what I know of them. They should talk to you about this matter sometime tomorrow."
She answers, well the time given by her roughly aligns with the time I had calculated. It seems I am really good at reading people as I thought.
"I see then it's time to move to the next step."
I mutter in a somewhat loud voice as she answers my question, hearing my words her face turns to that one of intrigue as she looks at me.
"Mind to tell me what this next step is."
She asks as she smiles at me, although the tone is casual I can see that she is excited to find out about this step of mine.
A very curious person I would say, I guess this is where Rybu got her curiosity from.
"Well, glad you asked."
I proclaim as I look at her with a smile on my face, I can guarantee that this is the biggest smile she has seen on my face.
"Well, the plan is simple..."
So I start to explain to her my master plan and as I continue to say the more her face turns to that of utter bafflement.
After I finished my words, she asked me a question, her tone and face indicating how baffled and surprised she was by the information I provided.
"Have you gone mad?"
She asks as she starts to check my temperature, to see if I am sick or not. In face, she even casts some high-level healing magic on me.
"I am fine, Aunt."
I try to calm her down with such words but she isn't taking it as she continues to cast higher and higher forms of healing magic.
"There is no way you are alright, after all that plan.. there is no way a sane person can make it."
She says as she looks at my face, she stops casting healing magic... It is most likely that she has already cast her most high-ranking healing-related magic.
"I know, the plan may be a little... life-threatening."
I say as I give her a small smile and before I can continue she cuts me.
"You know that is an understatement."
She says as she looks at me, her face calmer than before.
"Well, I guess. I can just hide for a month or so. That should be enough time to quell their anger. Well, otherwise I will have to use blackmai... I mean negotiate with them."
I say as I scratch my cheeks, well her reaction to my words is what I expected... in fact, it was quite mild because it was Aunt Ruri.. if my mother had heard my words she may have already put me under the supervision of trained healers.

I say as I give her a smile, my normal and cute smile without anything mixed into it.

She says those words, but there is a small smile on her face and I can hear her giggling a little. It seems she understood my intent.

Perhaps, not that good as I am currently sitting in front of a healer who is checking my mental condition.
He is an old man with white hair and is wearing sky blue and white colored doctor's clothes. Though it looks more fancier and ancient than normal.
"You are fine Young Master."
He says as he finishes checking me, I can see some confusion in his eyes due to the turn of events. After all my dear Aunt dragged me here and asked him specially to check.
"Thank you."
Giving him my gratitude I leave the room, I can see my Aunt sitting on a chair outside the room.
"So what did he say."
She asks in a worried tone as her face also looks worried.. I can't tell if it's fake or real. After all she is the one who taught me how to act.
"What do you think Aunt?"
I ask her, let's see what her thoughts are on this.
"Ahh, no is the condition that bad."
She cries out in a distressed voice as she looks at me with pity, sadness,... joy .. come on even I can see that this is an act.

I say as I give her a sigh, hearing that she giggles a little and the look on her face completely changes.

Saying that she lifts me off the ground and picks me up, letting her do what she wants I look at her face in silence.

She mutters as she starts to walk away from the nursing room, whose door disappears behind us. Well, it is that old man's private nursing room, well he has been serving the Lionheart family for more than six millennia.

I say.
"I can see you doing such stunts inside the family, but promise me that you won't do such things outside."
She says as her voice grows a little slower, I can see memories passing through her eyes.
"You know I am not this reckless normally."
I say in a casual tone with a smile on my face trying to lighten the mood.
"Is it a promise or not?"
She continues in her serious tone so I give her the answer she wants.
"Promise."
As my words left my mouth, I could see a small smile appearing on her face.
"Good, so don't break it ok. After all, I care for you as much as I care for Ruby. So please don't do such reckless behavior outside. You know what our reaction will be if something bad happens to you."
She says as she pats my head with one of her hands, feeling the warmth of her hands I relax my body and say.
"Don't worry. After all, I always keep my promise."
Saying that I close my eyes, and I can feel some drowsiness... it seems the day caught up to me. So with her holding me, I fall asleep.

Feeling the calm breath of Neo, Ruri turns her head to look at him, seeing that he is asleep, she smiles a little as she continues on her way.
"How can you act so reliably and also cause so much worry at the same time."
She mutters to no one as she looks outside one of the openings at the setting sun, with this another day has passed.
