Ch.33 Ruby Vs Alicia(2)

As Ruby slammed her greatsword down toward Alicia a wall of ice appeared in front of her as it blocked her attack.

After seeing the way Ruby fights a plan is formed in her mind as she gets ready to implement it.

Without letting her react spikes started to pierce out of the wall as they tried to skewer her, using her greatsword as a foothold she jumped back as she did an air slash.

A flaming slash slammed on the ice wall as it started to form, as it melted and the water evaporated mist started to form covering the surrounding.

<Frost Magic: Illusory Mist>

Alicia infused her mana on the mist and started to expand it, covering the entire stage. Ruby let out a deep breath as her greatsword started to burn with intense heat dispersing the mist near her.

Using her mana sense she tried to find Alicia's location but it was of no use as the mist had made it so that her mana could be felt everywhere.

"You know even if you are more skilled than me you are not that good at strategizing."

The voice of Alicia reached Ruby's ears from all sides as she became more vigilant, shrinking her mana sense to the area near her she got ready to swing her greatsword at any moment.

Slash!

Feeling movement behind her without a second thought Ruby put all her power in her body and swung her greatsword.

I sliced the body of Alicia in half as her body fell into the ground, surprised by the turn of events though she let her guard down.

Pierce!

"Bwee"

Vomiting blood she turned her head to look back and there was Alicia standing with her rapier pierced through her stomach.

Kicking the ground with her legs she distanced herself from Alicia, pointing her greatsword at the position where Alicia is she fired another beam of red hot flames.

"Shit!"

Alicia exclaimed as ice started to surround her creating a cocoon trying to protect her, but the heat of the flames was too much as it didn't stop and continued on its way.

Shizz!

Putting flames on her wound so that it would stop bleeding, Ruby looked at the aftermath of her attack. Although it is a strong one as it has been performed by a legendary grade weapon.

It also takes a lot of her mana, so with all the mana she has spent currently she only had thirty percent of her total reserve left.

As the flames cleared the molten ground, the burning trees appeared in front of Ruby, but in the middle of the burning ground, there was an ice cocoon standing.

As the cocoon cracked a bloodied figure came out of it, she had burnt marks throughout her body and some of her armor had even melted.

"Not the best exchange."

Alicia muttered as she looked at her bloodied figure, her body was currently feeling intense pain so intense that she wished to pass out.

But she can't do that, after all, if she lost to someone whose rank is lower than her then...

Casting some healing magic on herself that she had learned from Alice, she took a sigh of relief as her pain eased a little.

Turning her eyes to look at the spectator she could see the two of the looking at her, Neo's face was calm but the anxiousness and concern in his eyes couldn't be hidden.

'I don't need your concern, I.....'

Breaking herself out of her thoughts Alicia looked at her opponent who was currently charging at her holding a greatsword triple the size of her body.

Although comedic in looks but deadly in nature, she knew it too so she readied herself for the coming attack.

<Solious Sword Style: Flames Judgement>

Performing another technique Ruby's body was covered with flames as her physical strength increased, with the flaming greatsword in her hands she swung it toward her.

Ice started to cover Alicia's hands as it traveled to the hilt of her rapier, an idea came to her mind, an idiotic one but still an idea.

As the greatsword came toward her with the intention of slicing her she swung her own rapier to block it.

An idiotic move considered by most, as even Ruby was momentarily surprised, taking that as an opportunity she bathed her rapier with her mana as it started to glow a blue hue.

In that instant, the flaming greatsword in Ruby's hands started to freeze, from the point that had touched the rapier.

She didn't stop at that as the ice started to cover the floor and pillars of sharply pointed ice moved toward Ruby trying to skewer her.

With that single move, she had trapped Ruby and her only option for getting out of this was to let go of her greatsword.

After a single moment of thought Ruby let go of her greatsword and then raised her hand in surrender.

She had lost this duel, after all as a swordsman if she loses her weapon against someone like Alicia the current her doesn't have a chance of winning. And to add to all that her mana is also running low.

As she surrendered the pillars above her head stopped their movement as they started to turn into snow.

"I win"

Alicia exclaimed as she let go of the restriction she had put on herself, with that out of the way and now had her full power.

<High Heal>

Casting a high-ranking healing spell to both herself and Ruby she put her rapier back on its hilt.

Ruby also put her greatsword back into the storage as she fell on the ground butt first panting for breaths. As all the adrenalin washed away the fatigue caught up to her.

"Haa, Good fight Sister Alicia."

Taking deep breaths Ruby says as she smiles at Alicia, seeing this Alicia also smiles as he nods her head.

"Yes, it was a wonderful fight."

After saying that she checks her body and sees that most of her wounds have healed.

"It was a great fight indeed."

Neo's voice is heard as both he and Vayu start to walk toward them, the ground has changed back to what it was previously.

Arriving in fornt of them Neo takes out two small bottles and hands those bottles to them.

"Elixir."

Seeing the red liquid in the bottles Alical mutters.

"Yes, a 5-star rank one, so it should be able to heal your remaining wounds and also relieve your fatigue."

Hearing Alicia's words Neo says, smiling at them.

"Ahhh~"

Ruby gives a satisfied moan as she chugs the entire bottle in one gulp.

Taking the bottle off Neo's hands Alicia opens the bottle as she gets ready to drink.

"It's strawberry-flavoured."

Neo says as he looks at Alicia who is ready to drink the elixir.

Hearing that although she doesn't say anything a small smile blooms on her face as he drinks the elixir, why.. simply because it is her favorite flavor.

As for Vayu he just looks at their interaction silently as he doesn't say anything, giving a tender smile at them Vayu puts back the elixir he had taken out.

After all currently there is no need for it.
