Journey: The Destructive Incarnate

In the Stellar sea of stars, a giant tree stood, rivers made of countless white streaks flowed throughout its giant body travelling toward its root. Those rivers were made of souls going through the process of rebirth, but among those countless rivers, a certain stream travelled directly toward the stem of the tree. In that specific river, a soul flowed like every other; nothing special about it would have remained as such. Suddenly the space it inhabited collapsed as a brilliant golden glow travelled out of that distorted space. The soul unable to escape got showered by that golden glow, its spiritual body absorbing it. Unable to handle the magnitude of the power contained in the golden light, the soul started to tear up. But somehow it managed to absorb it all, but it came at a cost, as the single soul split into two, one being thrown out of that river. Passing through another river, it made its way toward the root, whereas the other part continued on its way. A soul who got the body to handle the power of the golden glow after rebirth but didn't have it, and a body that had the power but couldn't handle it was created. But fate works in mysterious ways as after the death of one body, the soul finally reunited making someone whole. Ch.3 Matter about the soul

Looking at my crying parents, my face couldn't help but show surprise and bewilderment, after all this is the first time something like this has happened.

"Father, Mother, is there anything wrong with me."

I ask as I look at their crying face.

"No, there is no problem, my son."

My mother replies to my question as her hug around me tightens. Father also gently embraces both of us as he speaks.

"So we are just happy for you."

He said as he gives me a big smile, now this confuses me even more... like really what the hell is happening.

"You see, son, your soul was damaged before."

Fathers says to me seeing my bewildered face and gently pats my head, seeing that I have calmed down he continues with his words.

"But now your soul has completely recovered and is also very robust."

"My soul."

"Yes, and that was the reason for your weak body, but now that it has healed, you will be able to live your life as a normal child."

"I see, then, why did you ask mother to check my soul after you yourself had checked it."

I ask the question that had come to my mind after hearing my father'e explanation. After all, he started crying after seeing my mother cry.

"You see son, even though I can see the soul it is only due to my rank, so I cannot look very deep into it. But your mother is an arch mage, so she can see deeper into your soul than me."

"After all, my son whose soul had been damaged since childhood suddenly has his soul completely healed. I need to make sure that some parasite isn't inhabiting your soul."

My father concludes his words as he gives me a big smile, while this is happening my mother is still hugging me while crying.

"Mother, please do not cry so much, it hurts me to see you cry."

Well, which child can see his mother cry, no matter the reason. So even though I know she is crying due to happiness, it still hurts me to see her cry.

"Y-yes, son, sorry for sowing such a sight to you."

My mother replies to my plea as she lifts her hug and wipes her tears, gently cleaning the watermark left due to her crying, my mother looks at my father.

"So, can you give me the complete description of what you saw." My father asks as he cleans the remaining tear stains from my mother's face.

"Umu, but should we say it in front of our son."

My mother nods and then asks the question, well her question is quite warranted, after all I am just a four-year-old kid.

"Haha, don't worry, you know my son is more mature than he looks." Father replied to mother's question as he gives a small laugh.

"Hmm, I know that but still."

My mother mutter's as she plays with my hair, seeing her state I hold her hands with both of my small hands and say.

"Mother, there is no need to worry about such a thing, plus I think it will be important for me to know such information."

"See, even my sons things so."

My father says after I finish my sentence and looks at mother.

"If you say so."

Mother finally relents as she stands up and sits on the bed, putting me on her lap, playing with my hair again she continues.

"You know our son's soul was damaged since birth, but that seems to have been somewhat wrong speculation."

"???"

Hearing my mother words, my father shows a confused face but remains silent, letting mother continue her words.

"His soul wasn't just damaged, it was torn in half during his birth, due to which the one half of the soul became our son and the other half reincarnated somewhere else."

"So you mean.."

My father's face turns to that of pure surprise as his eyes becomes wide open.

"Yes it as you think dear, his soul has been totally healed, well fused back with the other half of the soul."

My mother gently hugs me from the back, seeing me, not saying anything, well what can I say. I am way too surprised by the sudden revelation. After all, that means the dream I saw was...

"So that means the other half of his soul just died."

My father says the words that I was thinking and as if it was some kind of switch all the memories from my life as Sero comes flooding in my brain. I live through his thirty years of life and experience everything he had experienced.

My body freezes as all the memories enters my brain, even though my eyes are open they lose their focus as I sit on mother's lap motion less.

"Son, Son..."

I can hear the concerned voice of my father and mother but am unable to reply, I continue to look at the memories. Even though I know it isn't mine, well it isn't of this half of the soul. I still accept them and live through them completely after all now that we both have become whole it is only right for me to also except that life as my own.

When my eyes regain focus again, and I go through all the memories, I see the concerned face of my mother caressing my head.

"Son, you are back."

My mother asks as she looks at me waiting for my reply.

"Yes mother, sorry for worrying you again, I really am a fail..."

Before I could continue with my words my mother puts her finger in my lips shutting them tight.

"Shhh, no more words. Don't ever think like that, my son, you are the perfect son any parents can have."

Mother says as she gives me a beautiful and living smile.

"Your mother is correct, you know, son. So don't ever think like that again, otherwise I may have to discipline you a little."

My father pitches in as I look at him who is still standing in front of me, after completing his words he shows me his fist and seeing this I could help but give a small awkward laugh.

"Hey, don't bully my son."

Mother says as she gives father a strong glare.

"Haha." Father gives an awkward laugh as he rubs his the back of his head.

"Anyway, son, did you just go through the memories of the other half of your soul." My father asks as he sits next to mother. Mother also looks at me while waiting for an answer.

"Yes."

I reply as I give them a small nod, taking my head up from my mother's lap I sit on the bed as I look at them waiting for their reaction.

"Thought so." My father says as he rubs his chin. Mother doesn't say anything and continues to pat my head.

"So, son, what was that life of you like." My father asks as he gives me a curious look.

"Quite interesting..." I reply, going through the memories of that life.

"So at what age did that part of your soul die."

"I think at age thirty."

"Thirty!, so young." Both my mother and father gasp as they look at me. I can see the pity they have as they feel sorry for my other half, who dies so young.

"Well, father, the most the people in that world could live up to is seventy, so I don't think he died that young by that world standard."

I give them more information so that they can from a better picture of the world that half of my soul used to live in.

"Oh, only seventy. It seems that part of your soul entered a lesser world.. What are they called again." My father says after hearing my words and then tries to remember something.

"Universe, my dear, they are called universe." My mother answers my father's question.

"Ah, yes, it's been a while since I have last been to a lesser world, so I kind of forget." My father says as he gives a small smile.

Universe, huh, if I remember correctly in that life it was called as an infinitely expanding space where everything exists. But hearing my parent's word, that doesn't seem to be the case.

"So how did he die?" My father asked again.

"After fighting his enemies, he was killed using the strongest weapon that World had to offer."

"Oh, the strongest weapon. Then he must have been a great warrior."

"That he was." I reply to my father question.

"So what kind of person was he." Mother asks, seeing that the conversation between father and me has ended.

"Well, he was..... it's better to not say it. He would have liked it that way." I reply to my mother's question as I feel a little sad remembering the memories of that life.

"It ok, you don't have to tell if you don't want to." Mother says as she sees my sad face and gently embraces me.

"So, son, did you have a lover in that life. If so, do tell me I will go find that universe, after all can't leave my daughter-in-law hanging out alone." My father asks as he gives me a cheeky smile.

"Yes, do tell me son if you had any love life, after all I would also like to meet my daughter-in-law." Mother also chips in as she looks at me with an excepting gaze.

"No, he didn't have any luck in that area." I reply, well it is somewhat of a lie as women were quite interested in him, it was just he who wasn't interested in that.

"Boooo" My father says as he looks at me. I can see disappointment in his face, well it's not my fault he didn't have a girlfriend or wife.

"Hump, the girls in that world didn't have any eyes. How could he not be in a relation after living more than one fourth of his life in that world." My mother says as she complains to the sky.

"Mother, how can you even be sure I looked good in that life." I ask, hearing my mother words. After all, the confidence seeping from her is quite a lot.

"Of course, my son will be handsome no matter the life." My mother's replies to my question as she gives me a look that says why ask such a stupid question.

Just as we were talking, the gate of my room opens and someone enters the room.
