Ch.29 Fun Times(2)

Walking through the city or more specifically the market area we hold each other's hands so as not to get separated by the crowd. Even though there is nothing special to marvel at Ruby looks as excited as ever.

I guess this is her adventurous nature, though I also have it but not this much. Even if there was quite a crowd currently I wasn't really worried about troubles that we may find.

After all, we are currently in the upper area of the city where mostly rich people live, the layout of the city is quite simple the closer one is to the castle the more wealthier they are.

There are no slums area as we the Lionheart family will not be able to see our citizens suffer from such life conditions.

"Neo, Neo let's go get ice cream."

Ruby nudged my body as she pointed at the ice cream vendor in front of us, there were some people already lining up there.

Well, it is understandable as this is summer season, and that too in the middle of the month of Titans, the heat can be said to be almost unbearable for normal people.

As for us due to having mana and being of such high rank, we aren't really that affected by heat, and in the case of Ruby.. well it will be a surprise if the sun's heat even affects her.

"Hmm, how about later"

I reply to her question as I remember the current time.

"Why?"

She asked in a wining tone trying to look sad, well she may truly be sad.

"Because we can enjoy it after touring the city."

I say as I pat her head gently, this has always calmed her down and it also worked this time.

"Hmm..Ok"

She mutters in a low voice as she hears my point, Hmm.. she seems to love ice cream too much.. I wonder why.

"Well then let's go to some tourist area."

Saying that I hold her hand more firmly as I gently drag her with me. There is no way we can finish touring the entire city today so let's just go to some closer famous area.

"Hmm"

Ruby just hummed as she followed me without saying anything more.

Arriving in front of the monuments of heroes Neo and Ruby marveled at the mighty status placed there.

Although they have already visited here before, it is one of those places that one can never have enough of.

The closest tourist destination to the castle and for a good reason, this is a garden filled with the status of all the great warriors that have fought for this kingdom.

It is one of the landmarks that defines this city, people of or outside of the city could be seen roaming through the garden looking at the mighty warriors.

Even though they were just statues, due to the master craftsmanship they radiate the presence of the one whose statue it is.

Giving their respect to the fallen warriors Ruby and Neo left the garden, talking and sharing about the information they knew of the warriors.

Finishing touring the garden they bought a skewer of golden duck each and made their way toward the museum.

This is going to be a first for both of them as last time they had chosen to go the other direction than this. Neo was also interested to know how much information was given to the general public about the history.

After all from what he can remember the most common belief is that the "Mana Star System" is the highest rank one can reach. Some richer folks may know more than that but it will never surpass the level of "Mana Universe".

In fact, most nobility may not even know that there is a rank higher than "Mana Demi-god", that is how the information is shared in the world.

As for the reason, there are many the most prominent being, well for the 'Solious empire' is that the commoners if privy to all the information may lose hope.

After all, most of them are born just normal humans, so they have to learn to control and grow their mana when they grow up.

It doesn't help the fact that those with mana will grow faster in both mental and physical aspects than those without it.

Walking through the museum was more boring than both of them had thought, most of the information was something already read by Neo and learned by Ruby through Neo.

Plus he could see a bunch of semi-truthful information that a somewhat knowledgeable person can see through.

Getting bored by it both of them left the museum.

"So where do you want to go next Ruby?"

Neo asked as he looked at the girl next to him, they had visited the museum due to Neo's request so the next destination would follow Ruby's wish.

"Hmm, Neo how much time we have left?"

Ruby asked as she had a thoughtful look, must be thinking about which place to visit.

"Let's see... Hmm.. We have about five hours remaining."

Neo replied after calculating the time they had already spent and the time they had left, goo thing this world day was 30 hours long or it would have been a tight schedule.

"Ok, then let's go to the main playground."

Ruby said as she heard his answer.

"Are you sure, after all, it is quite far away so if we go there that might be our last destination for this trip?"

Neo asked hearing her words, if they planned properly they could visit two more tourist destinations but if they went there it would be their last destination.

"Yeh, I am sure.. and we haven't been there in a year."

Ruby replied back hearing Neo's question as she gave him a smile and started to hum to herself.

"Well, as you say, Madam."

Neo replied he didn't really have any problem with this arrangement. He just wanted Ruby to be able to visit more places as she doesn't really get to move that freely.

Well, it is the disadvantage of being the only child and daughter of the king of a great empire. She will always be targeted, either for a threatening or non-threatening reason.

Plus her insanely high talent doesn't help in that regard, though she says Neo's talent is higher than her Neo himself truly knows that this statement is farthest from the truth.

Booking a carriage they gave their destination to the driver and entered it, sitting next to each other they made themselves comfortable.

The only sound that could be heard was Ruby's sweet humming.

"Hey, Neo."

Ruby called Neo as she stopped humming, leaning her body more toward Neo she let her weight be supported by his body.

"Yes."

Neo replied back to her as she moved a little to make her more comfortable.

"Will you always look out for me?"

She asked as she looked outside the carriage window at the people walking in the streets.

"Hadn't I promised you that long ago?"

Neo replied to her question as he looked at her. Feeling his gaze Ruby also turned her head at him.

"Yes, you did."

Ruby said as the both of them continued to stare into each other's eyes, after a while both of them burst out laughing for the reason only they understood.
