Ch.15 The Princesses Travels

After a while of talking with her mothers the little girl leaves the room as she walks the hallway, without anyone obstructing her way she reaches her room.

Opening the door of her room she rushes inside and takes out a beautiful pink dress from the wrack while smiling. Why wouldn't she smile after all this is her favorite dress gifted to her by her mother on her third birthday.

Putting the dress on her bed she entered the bathroom and took a refreshing shower, walking out while singing to herself, she put on the dress.

Looking at herself in the mirror she does a quick spin and giggles to herself, picking up the small pouch on the table as she exits her room.

As she does so two maids appear in front of her as they bow their heads, but these maids look different than others as they have the looks of hardened soldiers.

"Take me to mother."

The princess commands and the maids follow shoot as both of them appear behind the princess and then all of them disappear.

Appearing inside one of the secret underground chambers of the castle are the figures of three, two of them being maids and the third being a little girl.

"Daughter you have arrived."

Ruby's mother says as she lifts her off the ground and carries her in her arms.

"Yes, mother sorry for the delay."

Ruby replies as she smiles at her mother.

"It's ok my daughter, after all, we aren't moving with limited time. Plus, Neo will understand if you dress so cutely for him."

Ruri says as she gently pinches her daughter's face.

"Moo, I am dressing for Neo."

Ruby complains as she puffs her cheeks trying to look cute.

"Yes, Yes I know my daughter."

Ruri replies in a sarcastic tone giggling at Ruby's comment. Ruby knew that her mother didn't take her words seriously but still chose not to speak, after all countering at this point would be nothing more than a trap.

She had learned it the hard way after her run-in with Neo.

"You may leave."

Ruri says in an authoritative tone as she takes her eyes off her daughter and looks at the maids.

"Understood."

The maids reply in unison as both of them disappear.

"Well then let's start our journey, my daughter."

Ruri says as she walks toward the wide carriage in front of her, there are two 'Wind Horses' tied to the carriage as they will be the ones to pull it.

Well, at first glance it will seem so but if a skilled mage were to look at it, they will see through the illusion placed on it.

The carriage driver and the horses are fake, made by nothing but illusion magic, in fact the entire exterior of the carriage is fake, as instead of the carriage being white in color it is in fact gold and silver in color with the royal crest imbedded in it's body.

It is in fact a royal carriage and not the standard issue of everyday carriage, so why the illusion? Well, there are two reasons for it, one so as not to cause disturbance in the everyday life of the people.

The second reason is to keep the visit of the queen and the princess to the Lionheart duchy secret from the public. After all, spreading such information is a very big safety hazard.

As both of them enter the carriage the space inside the carriage expands as instead of a small carriage room a room fitted for royalty is created.

In fact, the room inside the carriage was itself bigger than most commoners houses and it had everything, like a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and the like.

"Mother when do you think we will reach there."

Ruby asked after all every time they visited Duchy they always reached at different times due to using different amounts of the Carriage's true speed.

"We should reach the duchy in about three days, after all the distance between the capital and the duchy is 9000 km, and we are only using 40% of the carriage's total power."

Ruri says as she looks out of the window, the current scenery has changed as inside the chamber in the castle they are currently on the road leading to the duchy.

With a side glance, she can see the castle disappearing into the distance. 

Closing the window she walks toward the bookshelf and takes out a book, from the corner of her eyes she can see her daughter looking outside the window looking at the outside with a big smile on her face.

Ruri herself couldn't help but smile after all her daughter isn't allowed to go outside of the castle due to her being so young.

Two days later

"Hmm"

Ruri is humming to herself as she is cooking breakfast for her and Ruby. As for the little girl she is reading some storybooks while sleeping on the bed.

Suddenly a bright flash of light appears next to Ruri, but she doesn't panic as she lets it dim.

"Mother what happened."

Ruby asked as she ran toward her mother concerned due to the sudden flash of light.

"Nothing to worry about my daughter."

Ruri says as she lets the light deem and in its place is a letter. Picking up the letter Ruri gives a quick glance to the sender and knowing who it is turns the heat down.

"Mother, what is that?"

Ruby asks as she looks at the piece of paper in her mother's hands.

"A letter from Alice."

Ruri replies as she walks toward the sofa and sits down making herself comfortable.

"Aunty Alice"

Ruby mutters as she sits next to her mother and looks at her mother to ask if she can also read it or not.

"You can read it, my dear, after all the news doesn't seem confidential."

Ruri replies as she rubs Ruby's head.

"Umu"

Getting the confirmation of her mother Ruby looks into the letter and reads it.

Ruri, you may be wondering why I am sending a letter at such a time after all my son fell into a coma just some days ago.

Well, it's simple as to our happiness and joy due to the blessing of the sun god, My son has been healed from his dreadful illness.

Hehe, I am so happy that I can't even contain my smile and laughter, I know you are arriving soon so I couldn't hold myself back from giving you this good news.

Also, Ruby can you not beat him too much for the pranks he did to you before, after all, he has just recovered today.

"Mother does this mean..."

Ruby asks in confusion as she looks at her mother.

Ruri understanding her daughter's question simply nods her head while giving her a big smile. After all, Neo is like her own child, and knowing that someone who is like her son is healed form his illness which mother couldn't be happy.

Seeing her mother nodding to her question, a bright smile of pure happiness appears on Ruby's face as she feels happy for her best friend.

But that quickly turns to a evil smirk as she counts all the things Neo, needs to be punished for.

"Sigh, My daughter. I know Neo has been quite a naughty boy but can you please not punish him severely?"

Ruri says in a gentle and coxing way as she looks at her daughter.

"But.."

Before Ruby could protest Ruri opened her mouth.

"You should know how Neo is by now, and since his illness has been healed you should know that he will have his revenge if you punish him very severely."

Ruri warns her daughter as she looks at her face.

Gulp!

"Ah-h yes, Mother thank you for warning me."

Ruby says as she remembers the evil face Neo makes whenever he bullies her. So she changed her mind, instead of beating him she will just ask him a favor for forgiveness.

Yes, that will do, after all even though he does a lot of trolling he is also very kind to her.
