Childhood Days- part 5: Uchiha Clan

its been a couple of weeks since i visited senju compound, i started practicing the nameless control technique i got from them which i named parallel chakra flow jutsu.

while training on this technique i wondered where my mind scape has gone to. in my previous life i had a yin yang dot on my pineal gland which allows me to have a mindscape and where i developed parallel though processing technique. i tried entering my mindscape but i encountered a thick barrier which i dont know where it came from. i started sending chakra and bashing the barrier but it only weakens a bit and i got a bitch of a head ache.

i decided to chip away this barrier everyday before going to bed since i am not sure why or how its locked and leaving It alone is dangerous. i though of going to yamanaka but decided not to as i have more secrets if which came out will land me into unnecessary trouble. but my usual training is going good and i now have four visitors in the afternoon.

kushina helps me in fuinjutsu one hour a day while mira, mito and natsume train with the special jounin called erika and after that we children just talk with me giving out some advice and what i found useful in my training.

we four became good friends and it seems like they were already good friends from before. i got a good reading on their personalities in these few days. while natsume is cheerful and outgoing, mito is always calm and collected while mira is a mix of both. i enjoyed spending time with them which made me relax from all the effort i am putting in.

it also made me realize i am making the same mistake as my previous life, i am putting too much emphasis on getting strong while life is passing me away. so i started going out more and visited the orphanage once a day to meet with my friends, matron and mari obasan. i also spend the sunset on hokage mountain everyday on top of masters head and think queitly. this got me more relaxed so when i trained i got results more fastly too.

today i wore a green yukata with red highlights and made my way to uchiha clan compound. i was again invited for dinner where now i am wondering what is going on here. anyways i wore a more formal clothes and had my hair in a ponytail which looks killer on me with a small bang on my right side. i made it to the clan compound where two chunin lvl guards stopped me. i told them my intent where one guard went to check with the main house while the other guard was there. i started a small talk with him just to pass some time.

after a while i saw itachi in a dark blue kimono with uchiha fan on the backside come to get me.

i smiled and greeted him which he reciprocated and we made our way to the main house. the uchiha compound is more of a mix between traditional style houses with a militaristic look and i feel sharp just walking through here.

we reached the main family house and i saw the clan head fugaku giving me a nod after seeing my attire and formalities befit a noble. we entered his office where we sat until the dinner is ready and made small talk.

'thank you for the invite uchiha-sama its an honor' i said while bowing a bit, just to show respect but not subservence. i think he caught on as i see his lips curving upwards.

itachi just watched our interaction silently and an awkward silence took place in the room.

'is itachi san already a ninja?' i asked itachi.

itachi looked at me calmly- indeed haruno-san i just became a chunin couple of months back.

'so how about a spar while we wait itachi san' i asked.

itachi looked troubled but fugaku cut in 'thats a great idea, seeing you can take out five jounin by yourself this would be benificial to both of you.'

he stood up and started going outside, itachi and i looked at each other and started following him.

we went outside but i looked at our little spy who heard everything and said 'itachi san, it seems like uchiha hime is intrested in out match may she be allowed view it'

itachi looked surprised and we saw the girl coming out from behind a column.

itachi nodded and started walking with me and the girl behind him. i decided to introduce my self to the girl while walking.

' greetings uchiha hime, i am sasaki haruno, 4 years old, a man with the strength of a dragon'.

man i can see myself getting used to this.

itachi almost missed a step from my introduction but the girl just giggled queitly- 'hello sasaki kun, my name is akemi uchiha, pleasure to meet you'

okay why does she sound like she is flirting.. or is it just me. we reached outside to a training ground and i see a bunch of uchiha gathered there. there seems to be atleast a thousand uchiha in general in the clan from the presences i sensed where atleast more than 500 are active ninjas, with atleast 300 above chunin level and more than 50 at jounin. that is a good number i thought absently.

i see more people gathering at the outside of the training ground and some of them looked like elders too. i forgot the significance of me being hokage apprentice and how much weight it carries. i just wanted to make a good impression on itachi as he is one of my most favorite character. well no use in thinking about this, lets show them how its done.

soon we stood against each other and fugaku in the middle to proctor the fight. i took out my bo staff from a scroll and started twirling it around and got into an offensive stance. i decided against reinforcing the staff with armament haki and using observation haki if he unleashes his sharingan.

fugaku- start

itachi also got into his tijutsu stance but i still see some hesitation in his eyes. i decided to have the first hit to show im serious. with that i channeled chakra into my legs and went towards him at high chunin speed and hit him on the shoulder lightly. after the hit, he put some distance between us and looked at me in surprise.

i looked at him seriously and said 'itachi san, you are sparing with hokage apprentice, please dont embarras my master by going easy on me just because i am your sisters age.'

he looked back at me seriously and nodded his head. i grinned back in exitement and slowly said ' lets dance!!'

i started atacking him while he got out a kunai to battle my bo staff and we two were going at it in high chunin pace.

the surronding was queit with only sound coming from out spar while all the uchiha clan was surprised by the battle they are watching from two kids under 10.

fugaku and akemi were also surprised by different reasons. fugaku because he knows his sons capabilities and was proud of it. he thought to use this as a chance to show off that itachi is a bigger prodigy compared to sandaime's student who is talked about like a monsterous genius.

akemi was surprised due to the fact that a boy her age could get this strong and knowledge that he is not from a ninja clan has cemented that clan is not everything and anyone who works hard can get stronger. while looking at the excited expression in sasaki's face while fighting her brother, her uchiha blood is throbing for a good battle and she wanted to start training seriously to catch up with both.

another person who was really surprised was shusui uchiha, he knows more than fugaku about itachi and seeing him almost getting serious in a battle with a kid 4 years younger than him is like a deja wu for him. he remembered 4 year old itachi training hard and how sometimes he had to get serious in their spars.

i suddenly stopped and looked at itachi with a smile and said 'how about we stop the warm up and go for real itachi san, i know you are holding back from using ninjutsu, genjutsu and your sharingan'..

itachi looked serious when i said that and all the uchiha crowd started a fuss saying a sharingan at his age and all that, even fugaku is surprised.

'oops was that a secret!!' i said with a cheeky smile.

itachi looked at me for a while and asked 'do you have confidence to evade if i get serious now' for which i nodded with a smile.

we both understood that we want to have an exiting battle between two equals our own age group and it seems like we were both evenly matched for now.

suddenly i noticed a foreign chakra trying to get in my system but was forced out due to difference in chakra density between us and that fact that i am more in tune with my chakra.

Itachi got surprised that a genjutsu got failed when i said.

'you need a stronger genjutsu itachi san, i made myself immune to low to mid level ge jutsu, and how , well that is a secret' i said with a laugh.

he too smiled and obligied by closing his eyes and when he opened everyone could see the fully matured sharingan at its full glory, with three tomoe lazily spinning. there was a collective ruckus seeing the youngest fully matured sharingan in the history from the peanut gallery and we can hear fugaku laughing heartily saying ' thats my son, the youngest matured sharingan in history' and all that.

i was stuck again with a genjutsu which is quiet a bit stronger but i came out of it easily and saw itachi almost reaching me. we started our dance a new and i was having a really hard time keeping up with him, he gave me a powerful counter punch with which i flew to a distance and landed on the ground.

'so thats the might of sharingan, your tijutsu sure suits those eyes' i said while getting up. itachi was still in his stance while looking at me.

i also decided to get serious and started using observation haki. after getting closer again we got into a close combat where we are weaving through each others attacks while playing on counters. now it became more of a Strategy game which we are both enjoying while continuously trying to plummet each other in full strenght. we both gave each other a counter at the same time and got seperated.

we both got an exited expression on our faces, much to the surprise of people who know itachi personally who never showed such a face.

itachi suddenly jumped higher and used uchiha fire style fire ball jutsu and spit out a huge fireball of immense heat speeding in my direction. i used replacement technique twice to get out of range and started using shunshin to leave after images while circiling itachi.

itachi- shunshin , but what about tunnel vision.

just as he said that he noticed i closed my eyes with a smirk and started punchin him from all directions.

he used sharingan to keep track of me and defended but i was still able to hit him a couple of times.

' your tijutsu style uses fast counters by using your sharingan to see your opponents movements, how about i show you how to really use it, come at me' i said seriously.

itachi was surprised seeing me use uchiha soft paw style and started attacking me, but i used observation haki to the limit and shunshin on my upper body to dodge inthe last second and attack with greater force rather than counter.

i won that round but if itachi gave up now he would not be counted as once in a life time genius. we have not realized but during our spar we started developing at a rapid pace by pushing each other and it became a jounin battle.

but before we can continue, mikoto landed infront of us still wearing an apron and started pulling our ears.

'it hurts, mikoto nee-san' i said giving a pitiful look while itachi with the same stoic look said 'it hurts kaa-san'

we both looked at each other and smiled while mikoto let out a sign and started walking with our ears still in a vice grip towards fugaku who was visibly sweating.

mikoto- anata why is itachi fighting our guest?

fugaku just looked pale while akemi giggled with her mouth behind her hand. after that episode we four reached the main house and started eating.

i and akemi are sitting at one side of the table while mikoto and itachi were sitting opposite to us while fugaku sat at the head seat. this is really starting to look like a pattern i thought internally. following proper manners we did not talk while eating but i felt akemi looking at me constantly.

after dinner we sat at the main hall where mikoto served tea to us all and fugaku started speaking.

fugaku- so haruno kun, where did you learn the soft paw style you displayed in the end

'i just copied itachi san's movements and added on top of it.' i said with a smile.

all the uchiha present had their mouths twitching while akemi giggled again. why am i getting an s type vibe from her? i thought absently.

'anyways itachi san, by supplementing your style with shunshin, you can also attack instead of just reacting. i think this direction would work well with your current style.'

itachi smiled and nodded his head while fugaku asked a question everyone wanted to know the answer for - itachi, when did you awaken your sharingan?? and haruno kun how did you discover this

itachi- i have awakend it when i was five tou san

'well you uchiha may not have noticed this but after training in sharingan, you become more reactive than proactive. i noticed itachi san looking or your eyes slightly trying to follow all my movements involuntarily which is not normal, with this and the fact that he is hailed as a genius i figured that maybe the side effect of having a sharingan' i said.

all of them were shocked but i continued facing itachi.

' itachi san, i have not had such a fight ever and would like to have some more battles whenever you can spare some time' i asked while lowering my head in respect.

itachi was surprised but he accepted. after which i said good byes and started walking towards the entrance but suddenly i felt akemi getting in front of my face and kissing me on the cheek.

akemi in a flirty way- fufufu sasaki kun, thats your reward for today

i looked towards the other uchiha present to see fugaku and itachi having their sharingan out with cold look while mikoto just smiled without any change.

i just backed away and started running home. this is the day i got a vindictive rival and the day Itachi discovered an outlet for his frustations but thats for another day.
