JJK: Just A Human

I'm just a human. Just a human trying to keep up with the monsters I call friends. It isn't easy, everything I did, all the blood and sweat I put into improving was overshadowed by the talent all of them possessed. Luck was on their side since birth. God seemed to favor them, being blessed with talent many would envy. But who needs luck? Who needs gods? I was normal, and I made that my strength. And with that strength, I competed with the strongest. ___ I don't own JJK, just the OC's

Chapter Nine

"So... is all of that understandable?"

I blinked at the guy, Akira, as he introduced himself. I understood everything he explained perfectly fine, but what I didn't understand was why the white-haired guy, Gojo was poking him in the cheek.

"Tell me!"

Akira sighed and rubbed his temples. Completely ignoring the child that was bothering him.

"I understand the gist of it, some things make a lot more-"

"Who cares about that? Tell me when did you make your own domain!"

I looked at the child with annoyance, his antics working wonders on my nerves.

"Silence, child, the adults are talking."

My cursed energy, as I've come to understand pulsed and the white-haired man-child kneeled down, glasses falling off and eyes widening in surprise.

Geto, the guy with the baggy pants tensed and looked at his comrade in shock before looking back at me. Akira looked at Gojo, then back at me, and nodded in gratitude.

"As I was saying, things make a lot more sense now, but I don't see why I should join Jujutsu High."

Akira's only response was a shrug.

"If you don't, you will be labeled as a curse user, be hunted, and overall, you won't live a peaceful life. If you join... Well, you get paid."

I paused, narrowed my eyes, and finally decided.

"Sold, where do I sign?"

Akira smirked and stood up from the bench we were sitting on.

"First we need some papers for transferring schools and a new uniform."

I stood up along with him and took out my phone.

"Gimmie your number in case I need to contact you."

He took out his own flip phone and we exchanged numbers. Folding my phone, I put it in my pocket and turned in my house's direction.

"Can you let Gojo go now?"

I blinked and looked at the white-haired teenager that was glaring at Geto who was poking him with a stick and the girl, Shoko, who was busy putting small pebbles on top of his head.

I tilted my head curiously, not glancing away from the hilarity in front of me.

"Who is he, anyway?"

Akira let out a chuckle, shoving his hands inside his pockets.

"He's basically the sorcerer Jesus, but he ain't shit."

I snorted at that, this guy?

"Hmm... Seems like a skill issue if you ask me."

I spotted Akira tilting his head to look at me for a moment before returning to his previous activity, which was looking at the three in front of us in my peripheral vision.

"I'll contact you in a day or two, I'll give you the details."

I nodded and turned around, letting my hold on Gojo go, who started his "Revenge" against the two immediately.

I waved a hand over my shoulder as I walked away.

___

"When you said "In a day or two" I expected it to be a day at least..."

I looked at Akira who was standing in front of my door with a deadpan. Behind him was a serious-looking man that looked like he was fun to piss off, but that was beside the point.

"What can I say, when Yaga here heard how talented you were in school, he just had to see you."

I blinked, and glanced back, seeing my mom walking to us curiously.

Ah.

"Who are they, Kaito?"

I just shrugged, stepping out of the doorway, and introducing the only person I knew out of the two.

"This is Akira, I met him when school finished, great guy. Apparently, he was from some special school that has an accelerated program."

She looked at me and raised an eyebrow, asking what that had to do with them being here, so naturally, me being me, I explained truthfully.

"I humiliated their smartest student, it was a landslide, he wasn't even close. It was like stepping on an an-"

"Kaito."

I rolled my eyes. Lemme have some fun, woman.

"Fine, so since I am presumably smarter than one of their smartest students, they came here to offer a transfer so I don't waste my talents."

She looked over to the only other adult, even though I was older than both of them mentally, I was not salty about that, no sir.

"Is that true..."

The man took it as a queue to introduce himself, bowing slightly.

"Yaga, Masamichi Yaga, it is a pleasure to meet you, Yuki-san."

I refrained from snarling at that, I hated honorifics, they sounded weird coming out of my mouth, and tormented me with their cringe mentally. I did not need any more mental damage, thank you very much.

Yaga stopped bowing and continued talking.

"Yes, it is true and I am here to confirm that, I have brought a few IQ tests, and some questions from higher grades and I would also like to have a conversation with you after if you agree of course."

She tilted her head slightly.

"May I ask, which school you are from?"

Yaga took out a... was that a badge? I looked at the badge in the man's hand and the small, smaller one on Akira's black long-sleeved shirt...

Japan, man, I swear to fucking god.

"We're from Tokyo Prefectural High School."

She gasped like it was some Indian drama, putting a hand to her mouth and everything.

"Oh my. Please come in."

She ushered them inside as I watched, still holding the door open, closing it when they walked in.

I followed behind them, hands in my pockets as the guests sat down in the living room and Mom went to make tea. Sitting down across from the two, I threw one leg over the other and placed my head on my knuckles.

"How did you find my address?"

I asked, no trace of previous cheeriness in my tone. My cursed energy produced water behind me that froze into shards. Now that I understood what this energy was inside me, I did not have to struggle to drain water from the atmosphere, apparently, I was using a part of my innate technique this whole time. I didn't need that when I could just make water with curse energy.

But that didn't matter now, I needed to make sure I wasn't being watched.

Without prompting, a small cursed spirit floated down from the ceiling, Looking like a tiny flying ant. It was pierced with one of the shards behind me.

"That one was Getos."
