Father and ogi zen'in

She would never forget when Toji looked them in the eyes and said "Are you okay?" With a gentle smile. Even though they were barely 5 years old they felt their hearts skip a beat. It was at this moment that they became rabid fans of toji zenin. Wherever he would go they would follow him ad if they were stuck together by superglue. And the worst part was.. . Toji didn't even despise them! He treated them as equals! H-he even gave them food whenever they were punished for not acting like servants..... how could she not like him?

'Onii-chan no one will ever take you away from me' if toji saw maki's face right now he would laugh nervously as sweat poured down his neck because it looked like his plan to get closer to Ogi Zenin had been a bit too successful.

"Maki, I'm going back to my house to check up on my father do you wanna tag along ?"

"H-huh? Yes if you want." ' I'm gonna meet his father already? What will he think about me? He won't despise me right?'

"Okay then let's take our leave then" they made their way from the main compound to Toji's house.

Just as they reached the doorsteps the servant at the door bowed to him.

"Good evening Toji sama"

"Sigh. How many times do I have to tell you this Mai? You don't have to be so respectful to me."

Yes, that's right Mai Zen'in had become Toji's servant. After pulling some strings with his father's name and talking with Ogi he was able to get Mai to be his servant.

"No Toji Sama after what you've done for us how could I?" female servants of other members of the zen'in family are usually physically and sometimes even sexually abused. This is why when she heard that Toji had decided to make her his servant she was ecstatic, she knew that Toji wouldn't treat her badly and she was right.

"Oneeeee-san you can't be so stoic at least give your younger sister a hug?" She pulled Mai up, before pulling her into a hug, all the while spinning her around in the air. Just like toji, in exchange for little to none cursed energy, she got tremendous physical strength.

"Stop stop stop w-we are in front of Toji sama"as spirals appeared in Mai's eyes she started slurring in her speech.

"Nope. It's been a while since I've met my cute older sister hehehehe."

Toji smiled at the exchange before saying

"Both of you catch up with each other. I have some personal business with my father." He went inside the house before locking the door.

"You think he's gonna fight his father again?

"Mhm yeah probably."

Inside the house,

"Oy dad where are you?" as he searched throughout the house he couldn't find his father anywhere, not in the kitchen, the living room, the drawing room, the only place left was his father's room.

"Dad. Open the door." Toji said yet all he heard from the opposite side was silence.

"Sigh. It's been 4 years dad. You have to learn how to move on." Yet he heard nothing from the other side.

"Don't blame this on me dad." Toji said before kicking down the metal door.

"W-what the hell?" As he looked around the room he couldn't help but be shocked, he saw smoke trays, cigarettes , bottles of beer and syringes all around the room. On the top of the bed a young man who was seemingly in his 30s sat yet due to stress it was reasonable to think that he was in his 50s. The black patches under his eyes, the lustrous dark hair slowly turning white. His once shaved chin now has turned into a giant grey beard. It truly was a miserable sight.

"This is even worse than last time. Did you not even call Mai to come clean up your room?"

"That girl..... I don't want my best friends daughter to see me in this pathetic state." Tadama said with a weak voice.

"Don't worry dad, I'll clean this place up for you." Toji said before taking out a giant garbage bag and sweeping up everything into the bag slowly.

"You don't have to do this you kn-

"What are you talking about Father? After mom's death you were the one who was hit hardest although I only knew mom for a year before her death I could tell. You were very attached to her."

"..."

"Dad. Do you trust me?"

"Yes.... Even if you tell me the world is going to end tommorow I would believe you. You're the only family I have left." Although the man on the bed tried to act strong you could tell that he was on the brink of tears.

"Heh. What if I tell you that there's a way to bring back mother" Toji said with a smirk.

"Toji.... You know that this isn't exactly the perfect time to be joking about this right ..... Don't tell me you're being serious?" As he saw that Toji was just staring at him with a smirk without saying a word.

"That's right dad. Just think that I know someone that has a "special" cursed technique." Technically Toji wasn't lying. If he was able to piece together the law of life. Then bringing back his mother's soul to the physical plane alongside the help of his uncle wouldn't be impossible. Hell even if he had 2/6th of the law using it to bring back a mortal being wouldn't be impossible.

"S-son tell me you're not lying"

"When have I ever lied to you before dad? Just trust me on this one. But if you want to bring her back you can't just stay in this house all day."

"What do you want me to do? If it's in my power I'd go through hell and back."

Seeing this Toji leaned closer to the old man's ear before whispering something into his ear for sometime. During this conversation you could see that the old man's eyes were close to popping out due to suprise.

"Naobito..... To think I considered you as my brother" the old man clenched his fist in anger so much so that blood was starting to drip out but before the blood could even reach the ground it evaporated because of the giant flame that was slowly forming in his hand.

"Now now dad with your current power defeating Naobito and his allies is practically impossible. You should train yourself first. Don't make any rash decisions and follow my plan okay?"

"Yes.... I'm sorry if I haven't been the perfect father for you until now bu-"

"Stop the chit chat old man you're ruining my mood. Just show your determination with action rather then words or something "

Toji said while scratching his ears.

"Haaah you're the same as ever" the old man smiled at Toji. Something that he hadn't done since his wife's death.

"Anyways I have work to do. You better clean this house up yourself. If it's not clean until I come back you'll get a beating heh."

"Alright son."

Toji walked away from the room and opened the door but he saw two small girls peeking from the windows.

"Pfft you two are the same as ever aren't you?"

"Aha 😅 hi big brother"

"I apologise for my behaviour Toji Sama" Fuck. Every time master comes to check up on his dad it takes him approximately 37 minutes to help his dad get over his wife's death. What had changed now? Suddenly her eyes widened as she asked,

"Toji Sama has master Tadama recovered from his depression ?"

"I guess you could call it that. He'll be even better than before now." He said while flexing his shoulders.

That's right Tadama Zen'in one of the strongest figures in the hei was finally back. It wouldn't take long for Naobito's death to come.

"Maki. I need you to do something for me."

"Y-yes what do you need brother." I'd give you anything you need brother. Anything maybe even my bo- no what am I thinking!

"Take me to your father's personal quarters."

"Is that all? Let's go right now!"

"Mai stay here and guard the house. If my dad asks for anything, help him."

"Yes, Toji Sama."

"N-no father doesn't like me or my sister coming into his house. Last time I went in he threw a fit and told me never to come in again."

"Hoh? Is your father's mental state that bad right now?"

"Yes. He hasn't come out of his quarters for over 2 months. He gave the excuse of sharpening up on his cursed technique but I'm not sure what he's doing inside. Even the servants who come to check up on him everyday can only stand at the,door give him food and then stand as the door is closed up on them."

'Wow looks like his state is just as bad as my father. Looks like his dissapointment for his daughters runs deep'

"Well then Maki my discussion with him might take some time so you better go back to your own room."

"Uhm." She nodded her head before storming off in a hurry.

"Haaah I'm going in then." Toji said before opening the gate.
