Warning I lost most of my work for this, just the writing would have sucked but I also lost my huge amount of planning and its too much work to try and rebuild what I was writing, so I’ve stopped writing this and started a new novel. It’s very different from this one though, but if you’d still like to support me it’s called “For I will be the war Empress.” I am a student though so posting stories won’t really be on a fixed day but I’ll try my best. 01 27- Guild Master Hare

Walking into the guild's house, the place was huge. It was a two floor building that looked bigger than it did outside of the building. The first floor was where the people wait in line to talk to the npcs on the front desk. The second floor seemed like office rooms and such, though there was no need to try and figure out what else was in this place since I only needed to ask a singular question, and that was for directions.

I walked up to the line, having to wait for quiet a while even though there were 3 different desks. Can't be helped since there were a lot of players here, at least they all looked like players. It's hard to tell the difference between ncps and actual living people in this game.

Finally, it was my turn to go and speak with the people in the front desk, walking up front the lady gave me a smile, before raising an eyebrow.

"you're not an registered adventurer huh? Are you wanting to make a request for a quest or register as an adventurer?"

I was slightly confused on how she knew right away that I wasn't in the guild, but then she pointed to her chest near her heart.

"adventurers must always wear their guild tag or their guild pin so everyone can know they're part of the guild. Of course it's not mandatory to wear it all the time, but once inside the guild house, this place, you must put it on, it's easier for us."

She looked so proud of her explanation as I just nodded.

"Well, I'm not here for either, I actually want to know the location of the Magic Tower."

She looked at me strangely, I felt a little bit scared of why she went from having a sweet smile to suddenly being serious.

"We'll need to bring you to one of the private rooms,"

she raised her hand telling one of the guards to come, then she whispered something into his ear, which eventually made me feel a bit scared since I didn't know if I did anything wrong or not, I didn't want to die.

"He'll bring you to one of the upper rooms and for your question, "that" person will come and tell you about it."

I still didn't know if I should do this or not, but if anything wrong happened, I could just log out for a week then once I'm back just make a run for it. Though there's no way asking about a magic tower is considered a crime here right?... right?

I was panicking in my head while following the guard up to the second floor, he lead me into a very fancy looking room, the marbled floors and walls and the fancy soft looking couches, it was like when we met the thieves boss, but much fancier.

"Wait here please."

The guard said in a stern voice before closing the door loudly, then I was left there by myself. I sat there confused and slightly scared, but I just took a deep breath and put on a straight face. Maybe this was part of my quest, I need to be serious and can't let anything faze me.

After a while, a knock came from the door, I turned to face where the knock came from and once the door opened, the first view was a masked woman, well, more like a girl. She was short with long straight twin tails, but not the type that high up, it was more of a loose twin tails. The white bunny mask really matched her white hair.

She walked infront of me then sat down onto the couch on the other side of me, a butler followed from behind, then he stood behind the couch where the young girl sat down on. There was silence for a bit before she pointed at me.

"Say your name already!"

She shouted, I flinched from the sudden noise but then cleared my Throat.

"My name's GiHyuk, may I ask why I was brought here?"

Oh god I was beginning to feel corny again, but this is how you would usually talk respectfully right? At least that's what I saw on the drama's I watched that were back in this era.

"You didn't even ask for my name."

She spoke while staring at me, without even taking off her mask I could see she was pretty annoyed by me, oh god I didn't want to die, but could this child even kill me?

"Sorry, what's your name miss?"

She seemed pleased now, sitting up straight.

"My name's Hare, though it's not my real name, Adventure guild masters need to hide their names after all."

I nodded smiling, it was like a younger sister that I was talking too, before the smile turned into shock.

"G-guild master? You're a child!"

I shouted in shock before the kid seemed to get annoyed, before letting out a sigh, seems like she was used to it. She lifted up her hand and the butler then began to talk.

"Due to unfortunate circumstances, even though our guild master is only 13, she is more than enough to take care of the adventure guild."

I was still a bit shocked, before taking a big gulp to calm myself. Even though this was a game, considering how real thing's feel, I couldn't help but think, she must have had to throw her childhood away for this.

"Anyways, it's the important matter now!"

She sat up again in attempt to show how much powerful she was, straightening her posture, then she fixed her mask before pointing at me.

"How do you know about the magic tower?"

I looked at her a bit confused, was it such a big deal that I knew what the magic tower is?

"Unless you saw some old books, then a normal person shouldn't know about it."

I was getting more and more confused, but I just nodded since technically, my skill did come from a book that I picked up.

"I did see it in a book, the skill I got is telling me to find the magic tower."

I spoke to her honestly, she didn't seem like a bad person. How do I know? Just a guts feeling I guess.

"Skill? hm.."

She thought for a moment before looking up at me again, red eyes looking through the holes of the bunny mask.

"Then that would mean it's a skill that's powerful, no normal skill like a knight or even something that's considered a rare skill would have anything related to the magic tower."

Just like what the butler said, she was more than worthy of being titled as the master, but then it brought me to a question, why wouldn't a magic tower be known by all the people, wouldn't something powerful like that be well known? At least I think it's powerful.

"Is the magic tower gone or something?"

I asked bluntly, not being speaking like someone of high nobility but whatever, I wanted answers.

"Not particularly gone, but due to greediness of people who wanted power, the magic tower closed off it's door over 500 years ago, it's hidden now as well."

Holy- 500 years ago? Would there even still be people alive there, I looked up from my hands, seeing that Hare already seems to know what's confusing me.

"The only reason I know is because as an adventure guild, we also do trade, how else will we sell the items the adventurers sell us after all? We still trade with the magic tower. Even the current king of this country doesn't know the magic tower still stands with magicians inside."

I thought it was just some easy step, but things were getting a bit more complicated. Though it is my fault for thinking a legendary skill quest would be an easy ride like snow sliding in winter.

"If it's closed off, will they even let me go visit?"

She looked at me before letting out a small laugh.

"Like I said they closed off their doors, but I wonder, since you knew about them without knowing it from us, that means whatever skill it is must be a pretty important one. So I'll see what I can do and see if they're interested enough about someone who knew about them outside of the adventure guild's important people."

I gave her a bright smile, before I noticed something in her red eyes, there was more into this, the way she looked at me was the same as Less looked at me when he managed to sell me the armor.

"You're not doing this for free are you?.."

I asked her with a pained smile, she nodded and I let out a groan of annoyance, but I guess it can't be helped, she's the one that knows the location of the tower, I'm invested well enough.

"What do you want then?"

Since her mask was only covering half of her face, I could see that playful smile of this kid.

"Since you're probably someone who's quiet strong, I want you to join an alliance with us. Doesn't necessarily mean you have to be part of the adventure guild, but if I need you, you help us right away."

It's hard to believe this kid is supposed to be 13 the way she bargained was like someone who's had over 20 years of experience. I let out a sigh before nodding in agreement.

"Oh and also, I want you to bring me along to the tower."

To be continued...
