Warning I lost most of my work for this, just the writing would have sucked but I also lost my huge amount of planning and its too much work to try and rebuild what I was writing, so I’ve stopped writing this and started a new novel. 01 25 - Playful Misunderstanding

I looked at Lisa slightly confused about what she was trying to go with, she stared at me before grabbing my shoulder gently.

"It's okay, I don't judge your preferences. Detective Sang is quite handsome."

I looked at her as she walked away, now I was just left there in a bit of a confused state, before I finally realized what she meant.

"Wait no! It's not-"

She was already in her room as I stood there, a hand reaching out towards her room. I felt defeated. Now I was mistaken to be dating another man, there was nothing wrong about homosexuality, but the misunderstanding was going to be painful since she'll give me weird looks whenever we see each other and the fact I wasn't dating another man! After a moment of a dramatic pained lean against the kitchen counter, I finally got up properly and went back up to my room.

"Ah whatever, I'll just manage to explain it to her at some point. Fix the misunderstanding."

I let out a sigh and just went to take a quick shower. I was thinking of playing for a bit, but it was already midnight and I had to help the detective tomorrow so I should probably just get some rest now. After the short shower, I went back to my room room and just jumped into my bed.

Struggling to stand up again because I left the lights on, then just ran back to my bed and jumping in. I laid there quietly, wondering where exactly my life was going to now, so many things were happening ever since I started playing this game. At this point, there was no going back.

I just gave a little head shake, before twisting and turning, until finally the tiredness caught up to me and forced me to sleep. The rest of the night was peaceful and gentle.

My sleep was wonderful until to the point of a sudden loud ringing near my ear, making me sit up out of panic. I looked down to where my head was, and it was my phone, a random number was calling me. I was going to leave it alone, but then I remembered I gave my number to the detective, so there's a chance it's him.

"Hello, who is this?"

I spoke after answering the call, and as I suspected,

"Hello, it's detective Sang Yoo, sorry for calling you out of the blue."

it was the detective. I sat down a bit more comfortably now on the bed.

"It's okay, is it about the meet up?"

I asked while letting out a large yawn, I looked to the side to look at the clock, it was currently 8am, it wasn't super early, but I was still tired.

"The coder, or well hacker, she wants to meet up at 9, It's a bit rushed, but will you be okay with that?"

I blinked before letting out a quiet groan, then answering the question.

"Yeah um, yeah that's alright, I'll get ready."

I pinched the bridge of my nose, attempting to wake me up.

"I'll pick you up around 8:45am, see you then."

I just answered with a small yes, then ended the call. I laid back down onto the bed, regretting the fact I was up late, though It was something urgent that I had to stay up late for, but still, it was a pain.

"Well no use getting all grumpy about it. I should just get ready now."

I let out a tiny huff before standing up and getting my clothing ready, and since I showered already last night, I decided not to take another shower and just get ready and get some breakfast.

After a while, I was downstairs eating all ready to go out, and while eating, Lisa came out from her room, and for a minute we just stared at each other, before she had a playful grin on her face.

"Stop it! It's not what you think!"

I shouted with some toast in my mouth while also pointing towards her.

"Oh please, don't worry, you don't have to hide it."

She chuckled, then walked over to me to get some food too.

"No seriously we-"

I was cut off by the ringing of my phone, it was the detective again. I grabbed my phone and answered.

"I'm in front of your residence, you can come out when you can."

I stood up and walked towards the door making sure I had my stuff.

"Okay I'll come out in a second."

I ended the call while putting on my shoes, Lisa coming in from behind, then looking out from the window.

"ohoho, you have a date huh?"

She grinned while looking at me, I opened the door with a twitch of my eyebrow.

"I'll talk to you later, stop thinking were dating."

I closed the door while she gave a wave from the window. She probably thinks I'm just shy considering most people would panic, but I need to fix this misunderstanding and hope it goes through her thick skull. Oh if she heard me say that out loud she'd kill me.

On the other hand, detective Sang gave me a small wave while he waited in the drive way. I got in with a small sigh.

"Sorry about the rush again."

I Shook my head with a smile.

"Don't worry, it's something important so we should hurry."

He nodded and got on the road.

The ride was once again quiet and awkward, but it didn't last for too long since the person we were meeting was living pretty close to the shared house, close with a car anyways. Walking out and looking towards the house, you could already see the person we were meeting was a rich one.

"Agh, I'm jealous."

I mumbled under my breath before following Sang Yoo towards the front door. He rung the doorbell then leaned down towards the doorbell, there was a camera.

"Miss Sasha, we're here."

He spoke English here, I'm proud to say I understood what he said, but I hoped they won't speak English all the time, I'd just get a nosebleed from all of that. There was silence for a moment, before the door made a small click indicating it was opened, then a woman's voice came out from the doorbell.

"Go straight then take a left, then the open door in that hallway is where I am."

She spoke swiftly then ended it. I looked up at the detective in slight confusion.

"She might seem strange but don't worry, she'll be helpful."

He seemed to feel awkward as well, but we headed in, making sure to close the door behind us, then followed the directions she said. Once we were in the room, you could see how large it was, there was so much tech inside.

The monitors in the room, even though the lights were closed, the lights from the monitors and the two Silver Mind machines illuminated the room with a soft blue feel. She stood up from her chair then reached her hand towards me, she was the same height as me, 5'8 and it was clear she was a foreigner.

She had wavy brown hair that went slightly past her shoulder and the most visible aspect of her was the fact she had grey-ish blue eyes.

"My name's Sasha Melvis, nice to meet you."

I gave a small bow before shaking her hand then she went back to her comfortable chair in front of the many monitors on her desk.

"Mr. Sang already said the whole situation going on, I'll log in from the computer in L.O, while both of you go in the game and meet me in AlanVan."

I looked at her confused.

"You can join through the computer?"

I asked before Sang looked pretty confused as well.

"Wait me too?"

Sasha just looked back at us with a slight annoyed glare and we just quickly went to open the machine and hop in. The other male was fast to close the door to make his account while I looked at the brown haired girl.

"I'm far away from the city though."

She looked at me with a small wave of her hand.

"Just go to a nearby town and find a teleporter, then they should be able to teleport you to AlanVan. I'll pick up Mr. detective there and meet at the statue."

I nodded before closing the machine's door, and started the game. Without having to log in or anything, the Silver Mind instantly knew it was me and even in a different device, I was still able to play my character.

I was in the middle of a crowd, and manage to slip away to the side. I began to look around for the exact "teleporter" she was talking about. I never even knew there was such a thing, but again, I was never that far from AlanVan when I first started.

After walking around a bit, I finally found where it was, it was a circular platform in front of the docks of Stella Urbs. Walking towards the mage looking person on the side, he asked me where I'd like to go.

"To AlanVan please."

Then the man reached his hand out, and at first I was confused but then realized what he wanted.

"5 gold coins please."

I looked at him like he was crazy, before I pulled out 5 coins and gave him the coins before standing in the middle of the platform. I couldn't be too much of a cheapskate, but that was around 100 Canadian dollars right there.. I shook my head, it was too late now.

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes as everything felt lighter, and before I knew it I was now in AlanVan, the familiar street was the reason I knew right away. Hurrying to the statue, I could already see the detective there since he didn't change his appearance.

"I'm here, sorry for the wait."

Sasha, who also looked the same except the fact she looked so stiff considering she was on PC reached her hand out to me.

"Give the potion."

I quickly opened my inventory and gave it to her without any hesitation. After a moment, she let out a scoff, but she seemed to look overwhelmed as well.

"The coding is a virus for sure, it's amazing but, even without seeing it in action, I already know it's deadly. some coding is the same used for the robotic doctors, which explains the Silver Mind impaling it's arm into the girl's stomach."

I looked at the other male, we were both feeling concerned.

"Angel's tears? that doesn't fit it at all. Sure it has the good aspects, but it's mostly the bad ones. Like the story of Lucifer being an angel once."

Sasha looked me in the eye as she keep a strong hold on the potion.

"This could be called Lucifer's Blood and it would make more sense."

If anyone's wondering, yes I'm in Canada that's why I choose Canadian dollars rather than basing it off USD
