The little s

After a few days of King Robert staying at Winterfell, Raizen is following Ned to go to King's Landing.

(a/n: 3months AA)

Before the journey, Raizen suggested to Ned that his men will help man Moat Cailin and fix the towers across it. He plans to divide his people and put three thousand to the moat including the builders for the restoration of the towers and defending it.

Ned: "The north doesn't have the necessary gold to fix the towers."

R: "Do not worry about the expense. I would not suggest it if I can't handle it personally. Besides, I will only fix the key towers first before continuing to the rest. To be honest, I will just use the Gift to plant crops but most people will stay at the moat."

Ned: "Alright, if you have the means then you may have Moat Cailin. I am sure Lord Reed will be pleased that there will be people using the moat."

Back to present----

The entourage of the king stops for a break to let the men and horses rest.

Instead of Arya playing with the butcher's boy, Raizen is training her with a wooden sword that has some weight into it. Not far away, Sansa was talking to Joffrey but she was not as dumb as her series' counterpart. The boy noticed that Sansa was not having a good time with him, he wonders his head around to not be awkward with his supposed-to-be betrothed. While looking around, he saw the sister of Sansa with one of the men that will go with her father to King's Landing and they seem to be training in swordsmanship. But because he wanted to prove himself to his lady, he walk towards them with Sansa following behind him.

PJ: "What is all this?"

R: "I'm training lady Arya with self-defense, your grace."

PJ: "Self-defense?"

R: "It was decided by her father that both girls must learn how to defend themself from anyone that is going to harm them. Lady Sansa postpones her training until further notice because she needs to learn about being a proper lady."

PJ: "If they are to learn to defend themselves then they must learn from the best, but. You seem to be not the right man for the job. Tell me, are you a knight? And why are you wearing a mask?"

Before going with Ned, Raizen changed his clothing to match Ned's men's clothes. He also changes his mask to a wooden one instead of white but with a dirty brown texture. So now he looked like some beggar that has been cleaned but not clean enough.

PJ: "Take off your mask. Let me see that ugliness that you are hiding."

When Raizen took off his mask, Arya and Sansa were shocked at what they see. It was not the handsome face with a scar on his left eye that he showed before the two of them. But an ugly one with deformed lips, crooked teeth, and some blemishes. The two wanted to say something but the prince talked first.

PJ: "Put the mask back now! I don't want to see your ugly face!"

R: "I'm sorry your grace. That would be the reason for the mask. I was born with it but in return, I was blessed with a talent for combat."

PJ: "We will see about that. And as for showing me that ugly thing face, you should be killed. But you are hired by my soon-to-be father-in-law, you only got a small punishment."

Joffrey pulls out his real sword and slashes to the left side of Raizen but the masked man only blocks the real sword with the wooden one. The "fight" lasted for almost two minutes until the prince become tired from swinging his toy.

PJ: "Why can't I make you move?"

R: "It would be disrespectful and because I want you to learn, my grace. But you need to gain some muscles to gain strength in your swings. It will kill your enemy faster, the deeper your sword cuts."

PJ: "I like you. Why not become one of my King's Guard when I take the throne. You can use your mask with the helmet. Like my mother says, I need skilled and loyal men."

R: "It would be my honor to be one that protects the king. But I would need to tell my family about the kindness of my future king."

PJ: "Good, see that it is done."

Joffrey walk away and back to their resting place while the two Starks girls still could not believe what they saw.

Arya: "How can you do that?"

R: *facing Arya* "What?"

Arya: "Changing your face."

R: "I'll teach you when we arrive at King's Landing. But it would seem that I need to keep this face as long as I am near the prince."

Sansa: "From my talks with the prince, I came to understand that he is..."

R: "A self-centered bastard?"

Sansa: "That and he is cruel. If I didn't get any lessons from you and my father, I would probably be just another girl following his whims. But how did you do that? I was sure that he will get you killed for embarrassing him in front of us."

R: "Anyone wanted compliments to make themselves feel better. To the prince, he needs it like breathing."

Arya: "hahaha... So he will die if we do nothing?"

R: "No, other people die. If you are near him, compliment the guy first then make an excuse to leave because it is better to be as far away from him as possible. Even more so to his mother."

Sansa: "Why?"

R: "Because she is a Lannister. Though from the things that I heard. Only his brother, Tyrion Lannister, and her other two children are the better ones."

Arya: "What about Ser Jaime?"

R: "Because he is a Kingslayer. No matter how mad the last king was, he has sworn an oath to protect him but maybe there is more to it than what everybody knows."

Sansa: "There is a reason?"

R: "Maybe but still, only get close when necessary."

The two girls nod their heads. Sansa went to her father to continue her lessons in politics though Ned only know so little. Arya continued her training with Raizen.

The three thousand men and women that came with them were left at Moat Cailin. Robert and the others were amazed by the discipline of those people. Ned already told him that their ancestors were part of the north once but they look like Lannister's army when they march.

Robert: "Those were some fine men. Are you sure they are from the north?"

Ned: "I did ask about it and their leader told me that they have learned it from fighting unsullied."

Robert: "Those cockless people?"

Ned: "Yes, they even learn not to have fear as them. Though the unsullied kill infants as a ritual. Bloody masters!" *getting angrier*

Robert: "Enough Ned! Even if you wanted to go across the seas and I decided to help you, there are more problems here. I'm trying to keep the seven kingdoms from falling apart. The Greyjoys already rebelled in just a few years that I have sat on the damn throne. With Jon's passing, you're the only one I trust with my life to support me as the hand of the king."

Ned just looks at his friend and sighs.

While the king and his entourage were traveling towards King's Landing. Jon Snow, his uncle, and Tyrion Lannister were also traveling towards the Wall. They can already see the shadow of the wall from afar but besides that, they also see people building homes along the way.

Tyrion: "Who are they?"

Benjen: "Do you know the story about Torrhen Stark?"

Tyrion: "I do. The king who knelt. I would also do it even without the Targaryens using their dragons. Six kingdoms against one, hardly a battle. But what of it?"

Benjen: "Well, their ancestors were the people that do not want to kneel to the dragons. So they left for the narrow seas to Essos and created a sellsword. They were called "Company of the Rose". The last of the descendant decided that he should return to the north and here they are."

Tyrion: *nods in understanding* "How many?"

Benjen: "Fifty thousand, five thousand of those were workers. You saw the three thousand when you left Winterfell? They were tasked to rebuild Moat Cailin and man it. Ned said that most of the people here will go to the moat when the towers were properly repaired. For now, they will use the lands to grow crops and help the Night's Watch patrol the wall. They will provide food and supplies for repairs of the forts."

Tyrion: "How many will help the watch? All forty thousand?"

Benjen: "Not entirely. Only a thousand per castle then every week they will replace by another set of three thousand. Some also need to get the bandits around in the north so that is another good thing from them."

Jon: *listening to the two* "What about the wildlings?"

Benjen: "About that, the Umbers tried to confront them with it, and the Lord Commander also against it but Raizen, the leader of these people, swore that they will take responsibility for them. So far, there are no sightings of them beyond the gift but those that tried to cross near the castles were still killed."

Jon: "If the wildlings were already part of the other's responsibility, why still kill them?"

Benjen: "It is more complicated than that. When the people from the castles heard it, they tried to fight the people from the gift and those who came to the castles. But the results were scary and amazing at the same time."

Tyrion: "Let me guess, the people of the "company of the rose" beat the others?"

Benjen: "Aye, the people who came to the Gift were killed especially the ones who wanted to rape the women. They were killed with their cocks separated. The best part was."

Jon: "What?"

Benjen: "It was the women that killed them while the men and children just look at them with disdain."

Tyrion: "Those must be some fierce women."

Benje: "They say that they were taught to fight from a young age. To fight like unsullied. Fear nothing but have honor in living."

Tyrion: "I would like to meet them now."

Benjen: "Look, it's the time of changing a new set of people."

While they were riding, they caught up with the marching army towards the wall. But Jon and Tyrion were amazed and curious about what they saw.

Tyrion: "I thought the north is cold and from the wall, it becomes colder. But why do they only have thin clothes?"

Benjen: "We also ask them that but they only said: "We are real men". No one wants to argue with them because the people on the watch saw most of them don't eat for three days. The ones on the wall keep standing there for days, even for the entire week."

Tyrion: "Are they monsters?"

Benjen: *smirking* "No, they are real men."

Tyrion didn't have a comeback for that because they were seeing the disciplined march of the company. They look like his father's army but more controlled.

They continued their travel in peace or it would be if Tyrion stops talking along the road. The army from the company kept marching while the others rest for some time.

Jon: "Don't the rest? I didn't even see them stop to relieve themselves."

Tyrion: "Real men remember. Though, can they be bought? I heard they were sellswords in Essos."

Benjen: "They aren't paid now. Besides, they only follow their leader, Raizen, and he only follows a Stark. Something about redeeming his ancestor's mistake when Aegon came to the north."

Tyrion: "Tell me, if the north went to war. How many soldiers can it muster without emptying their castles?"

Benjen: "Why would I tell you that?"

Tyrion: "Humor me. Besides, we are at peace so I see no problem. Just give me an estimate. Not including the new people."

Benjen: *sigh* "Less than twenty thousand."

Tyrion: "But with the addition of forty thousand battle-hardened men you get sixty."

Benjen: "I don't even know if they will fight."

Jon: "But father said, they will fight for the north. As long as there is a Stark in Winterfell they will fight."

Tyrion: "They feel ashamed for what their people have done in the past so they are trying to compensate for it. Anyway, as long as someone doesn't piss off the people of the north, they will not fight any war."

But some things need to happen because of fate.

In King's Landing, post-tournament, after looking at one of Robert's bastards. Raizen was with Ned and one of his men.

(a/n: 5 months AA)

R: "You want to talk to Robert about this?"

Ned: "Yes."

R: "The death of Jon Arryn has more to it than what is seen on the surface. Do you want me to take away your daughters now?"

Ned: "Let me talk to Robert first. *look at his man* Get your people ready and keep my girls safe."

The man nods and left the two of them.

R: "Then I will be with Arya."

Raizen also walks away leaving Ned to do what he needs to do.

West of King's Landing, Casterly Rock---

Tywin Lannister is writing some letter on his desk when suddenly, a messenger came to him unannounced.

Msg1: "My Lord"

Tywin: "If I was not busy, I would personally push you on the edge of a cliff."

Msg1: "I'm sorry my Lord." *handing a letter to Tywin*

After receiving and verifying the contents of the letter. Tywin dismisses the messenger, he gave the man some silver and told him to get Kevan. When the messenger was gone, he burned the letter and waited for his brother to come.
