CHAPTER 49

Y/N'S POV

The next day I got up early thanks to the alarm clock and Yoko dragging me out of bed. It was really hard for me to get over the trauma of getting up early, but I was in a hurry and managed to arrive on time after a long time. And not only that, I sat in the front row so I could run away from Yoko and her damn games. I had to get my good grades back so Duncan would leave me alone.

At first I started motivated and was taking notes of everything they were explaining, but as the morning went by, that motivation began to fade. It was the last class of the morning and I was starving, I couldn't wait for the bell to ring so we could leave. However, I had to make an effort to stay attentive since before the Raven we would face the exams.

I was doing my best to keep my eyes open during the explanations, when suddenly someone threw a small ball of paper at my desk. I turned covertly and glared at Yoko, to which she responded with a shrug of her shoulders implying that it hadn't been her. I hid the little ball under the desk and started to unroll the paper to read the contents.

"When you read this, don't turn around, I don't want you to be punished again. I just wanted to tell you to keep it up, you're doing great. I can't wait for us to go to the Raven together! AAAAHHHH. Little kiss >.<"< em>

I tried to suppress the smile that was growing on my face when I read the little note and I fought with all my might against the urge to turn around and go to her. How could someone so exaggeratedly adorable exist? Her parents poured too much love on her while they were creating her! How could someone like her have noticed someone like me? Shit, I felt like the luckiest person in the world. Needless to say, I was going to keep that little note as if it were an heirloom, I kept it in my mobile phone case to always carry it with me.

I managed to survive the last class thanks to the encouragement that the wolf had sent me, so as soon as we were given permission to leave, I ran to her and hugged her from behind. It wasn't like me to show affection in public, but for Enid... Omg, for her I would stop my foxy side no matter how hard that was for me.

- Enid: Has anyone missed me? - she said while she was putting her things away and I was resting my chin on her shoulder - It wasn't a big deal either, with how smart you are, I don't know how classes can cost you so much.

-Y/N: I just get bored too easy - I sighed - But thinking about you helps me relax, thanks for the encouragement - I whispered to her.

- Wednesday: Iuugh, this is serious - she said walking past me - You'll start wearing pink right now and I'll have no choice but to wear glasses like Yoko so as not to melt my retinas.

-Y/N: As nice as always, cousin - I smiled - By the way, about helping you with your stalker... I'm not going to be able to, I've been grounded and now I have to be the concierge's assistant until further notice.

-Wednesday: Skip the punishment, see you after lunch in the forest - she looked at me - Oh and go to the library before and let Tyler know.

-Y/N: Wednesday - I took her by the arm and slowed her down - I'm not going to skip the punishment.

- Wednesday: Are you listening to yourself? - she crossed his arms - Since when did we Addams follow rules?

-Y/N: Since I want to go to the dance with Enid - I said looking at the blonde chatting with Yoko in the distance.

- Wednesday: You've lost your mind. Are you telling me that you're going to ignore the threat we're exposed to in order to work with a stranger and so go to that crappy event?

-Y/N: With Enid, going to that crappy event with her - I looked at her - If she didn't care about the Raven, I would gladly skip the punishment and face the consequences later. But she really wants to go, it's going to be our first date.

-Wednesday: Love is killing the few neurons that were left in here - she tapped my forehead with her fingers before starting up - Let's go to the cafeteria, I'll manage on my own for the moment.

-Y/N: Thank you, Wenny - I smiled and started following her.

In the cafeteria I took a sit next to Enid as usual, but I was surprised to see Ajax sitting at our table. Not that I was jealous or anything, but it was suspicious that he had reconciled with the wolf after so long. I couldn't help but stare at him repeatedly, I was trying to find some gesture, conversation, detail in general that would incriminate him.

I was concentrating on my own affairs when I noticed someone pulling the collar of my uniform from behind and dragging me away from the table. I kicked for a few moments to get them to let me go and then as I turned around I ran into Mr. Wilson. What the hell did he think he was doing? I hadn't finished eating yet! And also not to investigate Petropolus, but that was a separate topic.

-Wilson: I've been told that you work for me now - he said in a grave tone.

-Y/N: Well, I'm your assistant - I corrected him - But you know, I haven't finished eating yet so I think I'm going to go back to my friends.

-Wilson: There's a lot of work to be done - he continued walking - Don't just stand there!

I looked towards the table where Enid was looking at me with a worried face, I made a gesture with my hand for her to eat again. I sighed and followed Mr. Wilson until I reached the laboratory, where he passed me a bucket and a rag next to a bottle of window cleaner. I looked at him incredulously for a few seconds, but he set about clearing the tables.

- Wilson: Why don't you move? - he complained - Clean all the laboratory equipment!

-Y/N: But I'ts going to take me hours, there's a lot of glassware here - I complained.

-Wilson: Then start as soon as possible - he said before continuing with his work.

That was the last sentence out of his mouth all afternoon. Wilson cleaned up the rest of the class while I continued with the glassware and then left to clean the bathrooms. I was grateful to the one above that I didn't have that task, being a kitsune I had an overly developed sense of smell and wouldn't have put up with cleaning that area. Night fell as I finished cleaning the last test tube, and that's when Wilson showed up again.

- Wilson: Have you cleaned everything up?

-Y/N: Yes, I have left everything shiny - I said proudly.

-Wilson: Well - he threw something wrapped in silver foil at me - Then I'll wait for you at the same time tomorrow to get on with work.

- Y/N: Wait... What is this? - I said confused as I unwrapped whatever it was that had thrown at me.

- Wilson: You don't know how to recognize food anymore? - he gave me a bad look and came closer - Give it back to me if you don't want it.

-Y/N: No, don't worry, I do want it - I held it firmly - But why did you give it to me?

- Wilson: Why do you have to ask everything? - he frowned - Eat it and that's it, you've been locked up here all afternoon with the glassware.

-Y/N: Thank you - I smiled and started to get my things quickly to get to eat - Mr. Wilson, I thought you would be much grumpier but...

I stopped talking when I realized that the man had already left, I stood for a few seconds looking at the sandwich and realized that they didn't make those in the school cafeteria. Had Wilson given me his own food? I didn't understand why he had done it, but my hungry stomach thanked him endlessly.
