CHAPTER 19

ENID'S POV

Although it had seemed like a great idea in my mind to hang out playing board games, I changed my mind the moment Y/N started losing at each and every game. At first I thought the tantrums and the pouting she was doing were cute. She reminded me of a little girl. But as we were playing different games Y/N was accumulating defeat after defeat, and in my opinion it seemed that her battery was running out every time that happened.

- Brooke: It's your turn to move token, Y/N - she reminded her.

-Y/N: This game doesn't make sense - she complained and moved the tile heavily - I advance one by one and you get the six often - she sighed - I think this is the least aggressive method with which I have been totured, and that's why I hate it with all my heart.

- Brooke: - she let out a giggle - I didn't know you had it so bad losing.

-Enid: Y/N it's okay, you've said yourself that you've never played these things before - I smiled - In combat, sword fighting, and stuff like that you're still the best next to Wends.

-Brooke: That's scary - she said waving his token.

-Enid: Shut up, I'm trying to cheer her up - I looked at Y/N leaning his head on the table - How about we leave the games and watch a movie instead?

-Brooke: Oh yes, yes, I'll bring snacks to watch it - she ran to the kitchen.

I got up from my seat and approached Y/N to sit next to her, she was with her head resting on her arms. I imitated her posture and we were seeing each other directly, lately we were looking at each other much more often and I loved that. It had only been two weeks since her arrival, but we had done so many things together so it felt like months had passed.

-Enid: What kind of movies do you like to watch?

- Y/N: Terror... My favorites are the ones with zombies - she said without expression.

-Enid: I should have guessed - I smiled - and how about the comedy ones?

-Y/N: I'm not into cheap humor.

- Enid: The action ones?

-Y/N: Meh, guns are fine up to a point... If there is no suspense and mystery, there is no fun - she closed her eyes - so they are boring.

- Enid: Then it's not even necessary for me to ask you about the romance ones... Right?

-Y/N: Please... I would tear my eyes out first - she said opening them again when she heard Brooke return - What are we going to watch?

The three of us walked to the majestic sofa that was in the middle of the living room and settled down to choose what we were going to see. Brooke, being her house, was in charge of choosing the movie, so for a few moments I was afraid of Y/N's reaction. I watched Duncan browse through the catalog of the streaming platform and she just stopped at a romantic comedy. Great, totally what liked Addams. I turned my head to see her reaction and I just saw her sigh covertly and cross her arms. She didn't like Brooke's choice, but she didn't look like she was going to leave either.

Personally, I was really enjoying the movie with the librarian. Love and comedy? A big yes for me! In addition, the snacks that the hostess had offered us were sweet and really delicious. Well at least for my palate, for the kitsune... They were too sweet. I was so focused on the movie that I didn't even notice at what point Y/N had closed her eyes and fallen asleep, it wasn't until Brooke gave me a little touch and pointed me towards her that I realized.

-Brooke: Watch her sleep, no one would think that she can actually kill you in one breath - she smiled - Should we wake her up? She's missing the best part.

-Enid: The movie is not to her liking, she has fallen asleep due to boredom and she probably doesn't matter what happens to the protagonists - I smiled when I saw her asleep - Let her rest, she has been working hard for a few days.

- Brooke: Oh yeah? - she stopped the movie and sat facing me - Now that our friend is asleep... Are we having a girl talk?

- Enid: I love those talks! - I said excitedly - I've always liked to gossip about boys and rumors with Yoko. Although I haven't done it much lately because Yoko shares a room with Y/N, and if Y/N is present... I unintentionally focus on her - I said looking at Addams' relaxed face.

- Brooke: That's what I wanted to get to - she smiled maliciously and came closer to whisper something in my ear - Do you two have anything? Have you two made out?

- Enid: What? - I noticed how I was blushing - Calm down, of course not... We've known each other for a while, and I just broke up with my ex-boyfriend yesterday - I laughed nervously - What makes you think I have something with Y/N? She's Wednesday's cousin, and she's my best friend next to Yoko, it would be weird if I dated her cousin.

- Brooke: - she crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow - Who are you trying to convince with that nonsense? I've seen the way you look at each other, it's obvious that there's something growing between you.

- Enid: Brooke... Don't you want to keep watching the movie? - I tried to change the subject - I'm sure the protagonist are about to kiss.

-Brooke: You and Y/N were about to kiss in my room when I came back with the books - she said amused - Well? Admit it, you like Addams.

I passed a lock of hair behind my ear and slowly turned to look at Y/N one more time. I immediately felt that pressure in my chest that came when I was close to her, but I was dizzy and afraid to accept those feelings. We had not yet gotten to know each other well at all, I knew almost nothing about her beyond her origin and some characteristics about her species. Was she attracted to women? That was the first point to deal with and the one that worried me the most because coming from her I could expect an answer like... "Nature is wise and every animal has a natural instinct to follow."

- Brooke: Hey, hey... Enid! - she snapped her fingers in front of my face - You haven't answered - she smiled.

-Enid: I don't know, I don't know what to answer you - I shifted uncomfortably in my place - Everything is so confusing and new at the same time. It feels like a first love but without being one, because as I have said before, I was with Ajax.

-Brooke: I understand - she nodded - And does Y/N have any experience in love or is she just as lost as you?

-Enid: She's never been romantically with anyone, she doesn't even know what a date is - I pouted - And it's not like she lets herself be loved a lot either, she always refuses hugs.

-Brooke: Typical Y/N - she laughed - I haven't known her for a long time, but you can tell she feels uncomfortable when there is a lot of physical contact. Although... You were doing handyman in my room. Don't deny it! - she said before I could intervene - It's as if you are moving at a very slow pace...

- Enid: I know! - I said relieved that someone understood me - Wednesday and she were raised the same way, but even Wends has more experience than Y/N. Wedns has indeed given her first kiss! And although it costs and I have to half force her, she lets herself be hugged from time to time. But instead this girl... She's driving me crazy.

- Brooke: It's a complicated situation, but... Do you think you have a chance? I mean, maybe not now because it might be too soon. But... Do you think Y/N might come to consider you a romantic interest? - she uncrossed her arms - I understand that both foxes and wolves, you stay with the same partner for the rest of your lives.

- Enid: It's not with just any couple... "It's is our destined partner" - I corrected her - And that person is someone you find out of nowhere, with whom you connect involuntarily, you look at her and you know that you would do anything for her as long as she stays by your side - I smiled.

- Brooke: Awww - she covered her face excitedly - Laugh at romance movies! Romeo and Juliet, who? I want a fucking werewolf saying I'm his destined mate! - Laughed - Enid - looked at me seriously - Do you feel that kind of thing for Y/N?

- Enid: Me... When I am with Y/N I feel like everything is better, I relax and get nervous at the same time, my hands sweat and unintentionally my ears and tail appear, as well as my fangs. I look at her and it's really hard for me to control the impulse of wanting to wrap her in my arms, and not to mention the desire that comes to me to kiss her when she smiles with that stupid smug smile - I looked at Brooke - What do you think that is?

- Brooke: Girl, I think it's pretty obvious - she smiled - Addams has you crazy for her bones.
