Chapter 5. The Book That Dictates All...

The moment he walked into the Grand Sanatorium, it felt as if everything outside the place had paused. The deeper he went, the more brighter the place got. The more freedom he felt he had. Free from time, free from space. Then eventually, the halls that he walked through came to an end, leading him to the vast endless space that spread to the distant horizons. The great sheet music that was at the endless horizon was burning…

Burning more and more, with each page melting, and dripping off into the unseeable floor, making ripples where it fell, and vanishing into complete nothingness. Codarius saw the sheet music burning. He didn't know why, but felt by instinct, that he needed to run. Run to the sheet music. Stop the fire. Codarius ran towards the sheet music, and then slammed his body against it. As Codarius slammed himself on the great wall of fire, he felt his body burning. He didn't know what to do, completely clueless. Then, someone approached him.

The familiar clanks of a mad man's shoes, echoing closer and closer towards Codarius, alerted him, and he looked back. There, was Hristov. The arrogant man. What was he doing here? Codarius then immediately backed up, with his back burning gradually on the fire. Hristov then asked, "What are you?" Codarius stayed silent, with hostility in his eyes towards Hristov.

Hristov ranted, "You're powerless, you're clueless, and even then, you think you have the authority, the power, the right to stop me? What are you?!" Codarius then replied, "I'm here to prevent the world from ending." Hristov then laughed, "You? You 'Saving' the world?! Hell, I wouldn't have burnt the entire Infinite Plane if it hadn't been for you!" Codarius then asked with a bit of anger, "What did you do? Where is everything? Why is everywhere just flames?" Then Hristov replied, "I've transcended… I've finally done it. It's really thanks to you… I've finally entered here, the True Side of the Infinite Plane!"

Codarius didn't really understand what he was saying, but clearly Hristov had lost all sense of sanity. He was all over the place. At this point, he had already lost his purpose of fighting them, hadn't he? It wasn't even a matter of him executing Batin, it was now just him wanting revenge, for the sake of his pride, his arrogance, his vanity. Codarius then confronted Hristov, "What's all of this destruction going to do? It's all pointless, you've lost sight of your original goal! Weren't you just attacking us to kill Batin?" Hristov went silent again.

After saying a soft "Maybe originally I was. Maybe I am losing sight…" Codarius got some hope, that he'd just stop doing all of this right now. However, Hristov roared suddenly, "FUCK THAT, SCREW SAVING PEOPLE, SCREW SAVING ANYONE… Honestly, you, Clarista, all of your freaks… You guys HUMILIATE ME! I can't stand this… Especially Clarista, that bitch, always, always, ALWAYS…!" He instantly charged at Codarius, putting all his hatred towards Codarius.
