CHAPTER 23

Dear Diary,

Chenna and I stayed in Kaycee's room.Her parents also stayed.I remembered how her mom broke down and cried.His dad and brothers also cried.

We cherished the moment together.We made jokes and laughed.Everything was fine until...

"Zarine...Chenna..." We immediately looked at her as she called our names.She was smiling at us.By the look of her face,I can tell that she's suffering a lot and she's already tired.I noticed the tears escaped from her eyes.

"Thank you for being my bestfriends." She smiled at us.Chenna and I started being emotional again because by her tone...she seemed like she's leaving already. "Mom...dad..." her parents turned to her.They were emotional too.

"Thank you for raising me.Thank you for loving me and thank you for being the best parents for me.Ishmael,took care of them for me." She said still wearing her smile.Her brother,Ishmael,covered his mouth.His shoulders started moving.He cried already.

Harvey and his friends were standing behind Kaycee's parents.Harvey immediately came to me and held my shoulders.

"Thank you for all the love you gave to me...I thank all of you.Harvey,please take care of Zarine.She's vulnerable than you think." She chuckled but I know she's in distress already. "Seelder,someone has a crush on you in this room.Her name starts with letter C." He chuckled.If I was not crying,I could've laughed hard.

"I guess,he is calling me to join him already...someone above there." She started crying.Her tears were visible and she could no longer supress her emotions. "Zarine,take note of the things you have to take with you for O couldn't do it for you anymore." I cried hard because of that.

"Chenna,please study hard in mathematics for I couldn't let you copy on my answers anymore." Chenna cried hard also after Kaycee said that.

"I-I l-love you a-all." By that,her eyes closed.I cried hard like what the others did.

There's no Kaycee anymore who would remind me of the things I forget whenever I leave...Kaycee,our clown is already gone.My dorm mate is gone...I lost a bestfriend.I cried hard.Harvey hushed and comforted me by his hugs.

After the day that Kaycee died,I couldn't get out of my bedroom anymore.I always cry.Harvey often visits me in my room and tried his very best to talk to me but I never go outside.I still can't talk to anyone for I still can't accept the fact that she's gone.
