"So I talked about relocating to my dad and he allowed me to leave since I can't really go to high school here anymore. I mean you know why, so I'll just spare you the details... The thing is that I was wondering if you guys could come with me. What do you guys say?" I asked both Adrian and Claire.

"The place isn't too far right?" Adrion inquired.

"Well, I guess you could say it's a decent distance from here. Far enough that you would be better off taking a plane,"

"Just say it was too far, John. No need to say all that," Claire deadpanned.

"Come on, Claire. You won't even let your friends talk," I laughed.

"I see, that's pretty far. I'm not too sure about this. What is it called" Adrion uttered

"The name is Wellston High, it's in Wellston. It's a pretty prestigious place and, in my opinion, it could be a nice change from here." I continued in a more serious tone.

"I would love to do so, John, but it's just that my mom needs me since we aren't too good financially, and besides, why would they accept someone like us, you know? I'm pretty low-ranked as a mid-tier, it's pretty much the same for Claire. And we don't exactly have the best grades either."

"I could help you," I rebutted. I had excellent grades before being expelled after all. Unlike a certain raven-haired teenager who couldn't even write text messages correctly.

"Look, if money is your problem, don't worry since when we get in we will be freely housed in the dorms. In fact, I was thinking I could ask the headmaster to live outside the dorms, so it's no biggie, the financial part isn't at least. Just don't worry about it too much man and just think more about how you will convince your mom."

"...Fine, I guess I'll talk to her about it, though I have to warn you, I don't really think she will accept it. I'll text you about how it goes." He informed me before leaving.

"And what about you, Claire?"

"Same thing here I guess. I'll talk to my parents about it and I'll cross my fingers in hopes they will say yes.

Anyway, see ya later!" She yelled before running away as well.

"Yeah! See ya!" I shouted back.

Whilst taking a small walk in the park, I felt my phone vibrate.

Claire: My parents said yes

John: that's great

Claire: But I have to work hard

Claire: Otherwise I will have to go back

Claire: My dad also wants me to find a part-time job

Claire: He wants me to be independent and stuff

John: That's perfectly fine 👍

John: As I said earlier if you need help I'll give it to you

John: Maybe it's time I find something too.

Adrion: You guys are lucky

Adrion: My mom said I can't go 😞

Adrion: Sorry

Claire: You sure?

Claire: She might change her mind

Adrion: She was using that tone that means "don't argue with me"

Claire: F

John: F

John: That's pretty annoying

Adrion: I mean it's not too bad

Adrion: You'll still visit

Claire: It won't be as good without you tho

John: You think she might agree if I talk to her?

Adrion: I don't think so

Adrion: Maybe?

John: I'm coming then

Adrion: For real?

John: Yup

Adrion: Thanks man

(A few minutes later)

-At Adrion's house-

[Narrator P.O.V]

*Ding-dong*

John rang the bell to Adrion's house and waited.

As the door opened, you could see the face of a beautiful woman, whose features were marred with the multiple struggles she had faced in her lifetime.

"Hey auntie," the raven-haired teen saluted.

"Hi, honey, If you're here about the entire moving to Wellston thingie then I'm really sorry but unfortunately I can't let Adrion come with you." She informed me.

"Why not? I don't want to be intrusive or anything but if something's wrong I might be able to help. Adrion told me he could find a part-time job there.

If anything it could be beneficial since he will learn to be independent. Wellston High is prestigious and people much lower than him in rank are attending ther-"

"I know John but that's not it. Adrion has already gotten bullied for quite some time here in New Boston. And whilst you have been able to protect him here, I've looked up Wellston High and it is full of people many times stronger than here. Even if you are strong enough to shield him, you can't be everywhere at once." The mature woman interrupted.

"Don't worry, There is no one in Wellston, or the entire region for that matter that is as strong as me. He will be safe no matter what. Besides, if he stays here without me he'll still get bullied," he argued

"How can you be so sure of yourself? If life has taught me anything, it's that there is always someone who is stronger or weaker than you," She asked.

"I'm a god-tier, Ma'am. I might not be the strongest in the world, but few can contend with my level of strength. I'm literally a 9.0 god-tier!" The teen proudly stated.

"....."

An awkward silence filled the area.

"No way?!?!","You are?!?" The Mother and Son duo shouted with a baffled expression.

"You didn't tell me that your friend was this strong, Adrion!" The mother yelled in disbelief.

"I didn't even know, since he didn't tell me, all I knew was that he was a god-tier," Adrion cried out.

"Well in his defence, I only gauged my ability very recently." The Channel master defended his friend.

"So he can come right?" John tentatively retried.

"If he can go? Of course, you can take him! As long as he passes the entrance exam I have no problem with it,"

"Well then, I guess I am done here. See you around bro, bye auntie!" John waved goodbye before heading back to his home.

'Few, I can finally go take this exam and help them both study.' thought.

*Beep*

He took out his phone to discover a message from his friend.

John: Np man

John: Anything to help out 👍
