Chapter Three

Michelle dragged me out of the class giggling like someone that saw a rainbow,making me smile unknowingly.

"Slow down ,you'll make me fall." I said to her with a smile on my face.

"Oh sis I wanna tour around." Michelle said ,letting go of my hand and placed her arm on Danielle's shoulder.

It's been a while I saw smiles on my little sisters face , ever since my parents separated they have never indulged themselves in making friends. I've always asked them to go out and make friends, but they end up swearing at me and shutting themselves in their room. Seeing them like this really makes my heart warm.

"Yes! and as Jake has been here before us he could tour us, right Jack?" Danielle said facing Jake with a puppy face, making me chuckle.

"Sure I can ,it's break hour so let's go ,I can show you everywhere." Jake said behind me.

Jake showed us the school game court,the library, laboratory room, Medic room. While going to the school garden where there were many flowers I spotted a grey door at a corner and for whatever reasons I couldn't take my eyes off it,and I didn't know when I started going closer to the door.

"Jake what is she looking at?" Michelle questioned, all I could hear was some howling sound which was horrific, making my hairs stand .

"Sarah?"

"Sarah?" I could hear my name echoing .

"Sarah!!" Jake yelled a little and shook me harshly pulling me out from what was compelling me.

"What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" Danielle pondered me with questions.

"I'm fine girls no need to worry ,I..I just dazed out" I said with a smile and noticed that Jake was looking intently at me.

"What's in that door Jake?" I questioned.

"I don't know the teachers says no one is allowed in that door ,not even the janitor goes there to clean". I looked at him and back at the door.

" What are you all doing here?"

We heard a crooked voice and we all turned back. An old woman was standing with a walking stick looking at us with suspicion.

"No ma'am it's not what you think" Michelle said clasping her hands together,

"Yes ma'am we were just touring around we.."

" You were touring around? with whose permission? " the old woman interrupted Danielle. Looking at her closely though she might seem old but there's something mysterious about her.

"You !" she said pointing at me,making me flinch.

"M..me?" I stuttered again for the second time making me sigh inwardly.

"Yes you did you see anything in that door?"

she asked

"N..no ma'am"

"Did you hear anything?"

"No ma'am"

"Are you sure?" she asked walking slowly towards me.

"No ma'am.. I..I mean I'm sure ma'am" I stuttered with anxiety.

"All of you leave here at once !" She said with a raised voice. Quickly without looking back we head towards the school cafeteria.

"That woman was strangely intimidating" Danielle said breaking the silence amongst us. "Yes she was,I hope to never see her again" Michelle said and they all chuckled lightly, Noticing that I was silent ,Jake shook me with his shoulder and raised one of his brows up.

"A penny for your thought mademoiselle" He said in a French accent, making me smile a little.

"Do you know that woman?" I asked after a short while.

"The old woman?" he asked

"yes her"

"Some say she's the owner of this school,some say she's the mother of the owner of the school Mr Lewis , and some see her as a mysterious woman who appear anywhere anytime ,and anytime she arrives the school becomes weirdly dark even though the sun is shining, but for today seems like her magic didn't work" he said the last word with a chuckle.

" so what about you? how do you see her?" I asked

"I see her as a mysterious woman"

"Why? and what do you mean the school becomes dark whenever she's here?" I asked with curiosity.

"Now now Sarah we're already in the cafeteria, and break would soon be over let's eat first I'll tell you later maybe after school" Jake said pulling me to a seat by my shoulders. The moment I sat down the while school seemed to have been on a pause, the whole students looked at me strangely like I was some kind of an enemy, sending chills down my spine. I looked over at where Jake was standing but he wasn't there ,I turned over to look across my table but my sisters was chatting enthusiastically, I turned over and everything was back to normal.

Jake walked towards our table with a bright smile, he placed the food on the table and sat down.

"Sarah?" he called out making me flinch.

"Yes?" I answered with a hoarse voice filled with anxiety.

"Are you okay?"

" yes I am why?"

"you're sweating so much" he said, and I touched my forehead and truly I was sweating intensely that it was sliding down my face.

"No worries I'm okay" I said wiping my face with the back of my Palm.

"lets eat " I added.

We started eating and as I carried my hand to put the food in my mouth ,I saw that same old woman staring at me with a sneer on her face her eyes filled with hatred and as well as excitement.

'what's going on ? why am I seeing things ?'
